Really enjoyed this. So many great points. From the customer service portion to the spot lock radius and the shortcomings of the boat. Speaking of which, the absence of a center access point does worry me. In a nightmare situation where you take in water from a crack, how would you bilge it? I suppose from the front hatch but that would be very awkward.
Do you know what the maintenance is on that MK motor? And do you know if an extended warranty is avail on the 2 yrs? Can’t wait to see what the 2nd gen offers.

Thanks for watching and subscribing my brother 😎 worst case scenario, you can always stand up and move the seat and take water out. It's a very stable kayak. Motor is the most important in this set up for sure. You have to electric grease the connections before every trip and you have to wash the motor off with fresh water including removing the propeller pin etc. Takes only couple seconds. But goes a long way. I'm sure, after 2 years, Old Town will help out with any issues for the motor as I found out, they are an amazing company 🤙
Hey Kaan! Great video as always! I wanted to touch base about the Rebel battery. You have had this kayak for a while now, so I was wondering if you still had the Rebel battery set up or if you have switched to something else? After a year, how well is the battery holding up? Trying to decide if I want a battery with bluetooth already installed in it or if I want to buy a meter separately. I worry about something going wrong with the bluetooth that is pre-installed and then I have the hassle of shipping it back to get fixed. Where as if I add it later, it would be an easy replacement and not really affect fishing time. Anyway, thanks for the informative videos!
My brother, hello! Yes, I still have the Rebel Lithium Battery and I love it. It never gave me an issue. I charge it before I go out. Holding strong! Bluetooth is the best feature for me. I can check it on the water with the dedicated app. But they are always out of stock 😁 whatever you get, make sure to get 100ah lithium 😎 🤙 thanks for watching 👍

Thanks for watching 🤙 I picked AP 120 because it's perfect size 2 me. I'm 6 feet and 200lbs. 136 is too long, too heavy and slower. 120 fits my truck bed perfect as well. 136 would have been too long and I would have needed a trailer for sure. I hope this helps 👍
Do you use the cart as a stand/storage too? I have one on order but I was wondering if leaving it on there continuously can cause it to weaken.
I do. I keep the cart right under the seat area to distribute the weight the best possible way. Makes a huge difference! If you put the cart a little more back each time , you will see that the kayak becomes heavier and heavier. Right in front of the seat is the sweet spot for the cart and that's the best way to store the kayak without any damage in the long run. I also put 5 6 soft play mats by the bow to lift up the nose of the kayak so the kayak is not tilted. That helps as well 👍
The transducer actually has a special location in front of the scupper you pointed to @ 5:25 that is protected.
Yes but still not protected with a cover plate like Hobie Outback. It's just out in the open even though it's flushed with the kayak. It's gonna be an issue when you load and unload from a truck or at the boat Ramp or out in the shallow waters at some point. They need a better design on the second generation for sure. You can use Navarro transducer mount from Nick. I have that as well if I don't like the set up right now but. After my second trip yesterday, I like the cell block a lot. Thanks for watching 👍
@@FishingFloridaWithKO I completely agree that the intended transducer mount placement is really quite vulnerable to normal usage with regard to launching and dragging/scraping while loading. I REALLY like that side mount set-up you've got!
@@CampWaffleStomper I have searched a lot. Even got the scupper mount from Nick at Navero but still exposed under even though it's flushed with the kayak. My old Hobie outback had the transducer cover plate at the bottom. Old Town needs to come up with that on the next generation model for sure. I love my set up. Easy on easy off. I don't have to worry about nothing. 🤙

The Old Town Website says that the proper installation for the battery is with the high bump on the top of the battery box to be facing the other direction. It hits the seat because it is installed incorrectly.
It still hits on the low position a bit. That's why it's great to have the seat risers from Nick 👍😎
Let’s say you hit a log in the water does the drive kick up or do you just come to an complete fast stop?
It doesn't kick up, but there is a wiggle room to observe the impact on top in case you hit something. But it is highly recommended that you keep spare parts of the props assembly in your kayak just in case as well as another kill switch.

If the weather and the winds good, definitely go to Playalinda Beach and surf fish. You can watch some of my beach fishing videos on my UA-cam channel to see what to use as gear, bait etc. My favorite time is the first light on an incoming tide any winds but SSE. Good luck 🤙

There are couple of bait shops before the bridge. Get live sand fleas from Captains hook bait shop and fish bites sand flea flavor. If you can't find live sand fleas, get live shrimp. You don't have to keep them live. They charge $20 at the gate, $40 annual pass. Go to lot 1 and walk down to the right 😎 that's my secret honey hole 😉

I can't speak of pdl 120 as I never had it.. But, I can't leave without the spotlock after I use it for a year now!

I just got a 2022 model and they made some changes to the hull and motor. They added a killswitch. I made a video pointing it out on my channel. Check it out
