Nigo is an inspiration to anyone who wants to do what they love in the most passionate way. If it wasn't for this dude I wouldn't have the guts to go after my career in digital product design and I think that many other creatives from the most different fields feel the same
nigo is my inspiration in everything i do clothing wise and creatively. his work on early bape and ice cream with pharrel, as well as the kanye teriyaki boyz HER video are what launched everything for me
I just recently order a human made hoodie and a billionaire boys club shirt as well! I really like the stuff that they make and I have mad respect for nigo
yo Reggie! love the show! always like the way you make things so easy and interesting to explore. is there a chance for you to make an introduction about Kiko Kostadinov? that would be very cool!
Nigo the goat. Always going forward. On the side note, the collab with LV is not with Human Made the brand, but Nigo as a designer. Other than that, awesome video.
Had to stretch it with the nods to Human Made with the "LVMADE" pieces. And the embellishments may have had nods to Icecream as well but Human Made's imprint is clearly notable but you are technically correct. It's not a Human Made collab.
@@luyolomify u don’t see everybody wearing it. they sell out fast. ebay & stock x barely have any pieces. beginners in fashion don’t know abt human made.
Bro.... it's 8 months im working on putting my t-shirts in a spray can to learn on this video that Nigo did it 25years ago.... Those cans never arrived to where I grew up and so I didnt know. Well... I guess im gonna look for another idea. Nigo is such a fuckin legend, he created it all. Im sure me having that can idea is indirectly an heritage of Nigo's vision
Yoon Ahn and her husband Verbal were the creators of Ambush not Nigo but he was in Teriyaki Boyz with Verbal so there's is still that connection between them
I think Nigo had taken Bape as far as it could go by 2012 , plus the sheer amount of counterfeit pieces the subsequent costs of fighting multiple cases wore him down, and now he’s creative director Kenzo , human made plus a hand in helping pharell etc , He is truly a streetwear icon and to many are called icon , legend , these words are warranted for Nigo Personally I love bape , but not Aape
Reggie, the bape hoodie Biggie wore apparently didn't belong to him, it was a homie of his. They only gave it to him because he wanted something to throw over his shoulders. Biggie never wore Bape.
The story goes: BIG had the jacket over his shoulders, was put in a magazine by Bape the company. BIG like the jacket so much he wanted one in his size. Reached out to NIGO to get a custom one for his size, it was being made to order but BIG passed before he was able to get a personal fit.
Totally unrelated to the video, but you guys should update your stuff! Instagram bio links to a 2018 video and your website looking barebones. Small but easy things

“Pretty huge” is a stretch. Even today hip hop is pretty much still a subculture in Japan. You most certainly hear it, no doubt, but there are acts and artist you can mention that many Japanese, who you think should know, don’t. Japan as far as western music is concerned has definitely been more into western pop and rock than anything. The obscure references to bands and individuals like the Sex Pistols and The Beatles are everywhere in Japanese fashion and culture. And Japanese music will ALWAYS be more popular in Japan. And outside of a few smaller acts, idol music and dance groups rule that scene. Think: AKB48, JSoul, Exile Tribe. NIGO wasn’t the ONLY individual to make hip hop bigger in Japan but keep in mind before Bape there wasn’t a Japanese fashion label that actually catered to that audience. So Bape effectively made Hip Hop even bigger in Japan growing a bit outside of its subculture roots. In fact after Bape an influx of Japanese rap groups followed and got signed to record labels. That’s certainly not coincidence.
I dont like bapesta's but the craftsmanship on them joints deserve to be highlighted, because at their prime the the bapsta's quality even as a bootleg, far better then Nikes Af1. What does this have to do with Nigo as a whole, basically i am saying i may not love his clothes on a style based standpoint, but i admire his quality especially when he is motivated to really make great product.
Although Nigo was so important, he teaches us to realize you can’t do this alone. Nigo used so many influential figures in the market he was trying to hit which clearly proved successful. Without Kanye and Pharrell and Pusha T ... (the list goes on) Nigo wouldn’t be where he is
Are you being sarcastic or do you actually mean it? Dude in the beginning of the video you can see Nigo's full name (Nagao Tomoaki). His nickname Nigo derives from there, not "n!gger" or "n!gga"
Nigo's wisdom and ability to evolve as opposed to milking Bape is what makes him so special
