The pop-up tent was originally designed in the 90s and was featured in, as well as co-advertised with the film, "Congo." However, despite the movie's accurate demonstration of how easy it is to set up, the movie fails to show the difficulty of collapsing the tent back down as well as the fact that the tent, in its folded state, is rather bulky. The movie makes the audience believe that the characters in the film had the tents tucked away inside their backpacks and taking up very little space. The movie makes the audience believe that the characters in the film had the tents tucked away inside their backpacks and taking up very little space. However as noted, they are not that easy to put away, until maybe you get the hang of it after about 100 tries, and it definitely won't fit in a backpack. I had bought the single person one (as featured in the film) and since it didn't fit in my backpack, I just left it in the trunk of my car for, "just in case."
@@skyden24195 I think Popup Tents were never meant for hikers, or people without easy access to vehicles.
@@wolfrainexxx definitely. I just always thought it was so ridiculous how the popup tents' conveniences were so exaggerated in the movie. I remember when the movie along with the popups came out, the co-opted marketing for the two, and they were bullsh*tting big-time about the tent. I got one anyway, and like mentioned, I just kept it in the trunk of my car. 😄
The quick cabin sells for 10k it should come with a tv and on demand helper to set it up for that price.
Plus it can't be very quick if they had to speed up the footage. A cabin tent would be way better!
the porta crapper would come in handy in a black Friday line
Does it come with a chamber pot?!
These all we need to go camp. Thanks for sharing!
The InstaPrivy was a hilarious idea and really a good option when there are no other options. Another video with a man and woman using this was even funnier and I will be sharing this with other friends.
They should sell the toilet separately also.
Might poop your pants before you ever get it set up. Mabel, throw the tent over me quick!
Well all you really need is a bucket with a trash bag in it . As for the tent part...:P Put a huge garden trash bag over you....basically that's all they are doing except a bit more refined. LOL That way once done, you bag up your mess. If you are in the wilderness, take a shovel and dig a hole and bury your mess. Use bushes to hide behind. Or, if no garden trash bag, use a tarp or blanket to hide under if afraid someone will see you. Tarp is better as you can fold one up and use it as a make shift shelter if needed.
Use the area behind a bush.
@@kewlenjo219 the trash bag ain't gonna work. Gonna sweat and smell till you take a shower. Just wear your rain coat and close your eyes. If you believe nobody sees your good. 😏😂😂😂😋😎🤦
Pretty neat stuff! Thanks for showing it. ❤
That cabin would be great to make an all weather food stall
Like the cabin ,its more secured from bears and all sorts
What I hate about pop up tents is packing them away again 😉
A bottle of Galiano is what the inventor drank after trying to fold it up.
They need to pop down
The guy in the video does too. That's why he just played the unpacking in reverse.
Its easy. Place your foot on one end on the ground and twist clockwise
@@mattsmith-ri3lp Yeah, no. I've tried and tried and tried then tossed it in the fire.
Wow! Super Cool gadgets!
The cabin looks like it would make a better garden room than for use camping and when he said it's ok you can build it on your own, I was thinking 'Nah' lol
that plastic cabin is almost 12 thousand dollars! NO THANKS
Those are awesome!! 🖐️🥰
Fire cube is interesting.
Wow! This makes it easy for older people to camp. No more worry about your back and going to the toilet.
How do you go camping with the first tent that hangs from a tree ? It needs a crane just to put it up, and it's made out of metal.
Very wonderful thanks for this nice video
Going on a camping-trip with a forklift as a companion to raise the Balloon tent?
Got it!
Wonderful ideas, thank you
that portable cabin looks real good.
i could live in that forever.
I love camping like this
Flame Cube is what I need for long term camping. For a day or two battery pack works well!!
I doubt that thing make very much power at all. Get a biolight!
There is also the option of a small solar panel for charging but the duality of the pit is what I find best.
Buy I t
soo you leave your mobile phone that close to a fire
@@tonyug113 that mini stove has a built in power bank, best to recharge once the cooking is done.
Great video BTW. I loved it.
Now these items make going camping more fun and less stressful. Total awesome inventions. I love the outdoors...but always dreaded some of the inconveniences. I'm so glad this came up in my feed
Thanks for your comment!
can the crapper tent be used in a store that doesn't have a public restroom
@@tooldog5062 😂
Good video. I liked seeing the creativity.
I bought a single-person pop-out tent back in the late 1990s. I used to keep it in the back of my car just to have for any number of reasons as an early 20's yr.-old Californian who was always on the go. It served conveniently as anything from a "hot box" to an instantly needed motel room.
FANTASTIC! WHERE CAN I BUY ONE AT POOR MAN PRICE? MADE IT FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE.. MADE IT FOR THE WORLD. FOR EVERY ONE.
That plastic cabin could be a good money spinner if you had a few on a farm and rented them.
Guest house too.
the cabin looked more like a very big port a potty.
The guy running to the woods to use his portable toilet 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
AWESOME ILL GET THEM ALL
Fireproof and fire-resistant are NOT the same. NEVER light a fire inside a tent, unless it's clearly designed for it, like a tipi/wigwam.
Makeshift chimney got me.
Cool #camping ideas
I'm not sure about the 3 legged wood burner. I think 4 legs would be more stable.
Yeah, it looks dangerously tippy.
This is the dumbest stove design I've ever seen. Three legs will be very unstable, and there's no advantage, to make it worth the risk. Four legs is standard for a reason.
Usually, these kinds of videos are filled with products that are so dumb, you've never heard of them. I think this stove is an example.
Yeah there are tons of much better and well vetted portable stoves out there that are going to be a hell of a lot more stable and sit lower so even less likely to tilt.
Like it. Amazing
The assembly required cabin is ingenious for glamping and emergency temporAry housing. We have had horrible hurricanes and these would have helped. Also looks like it would help in winter riddled urban ares for the cities unsheltered, with some of those mini stoves
@@2RanchesNo its not a bad world per se. But as with anything when you use the word to describe the people as opposed to their condition it can quickly become pejorative and used as an offhanded insult instead of an identifier of people who need help. Like changing slave for enslaved. One Permanently ties a condition to a people group allowing others to dehumanize them instead of recognizing that the horror of their treatment is offense against God and the common good.
@@wintermagebarthow8481 That's a long round about way of saying "Why yes Western Jones, it is offensive. And if you use it again, I'm going to my safe zone and hold my breath while I color my hair pink."
@@jwyzdm While Im not a fan of political correctness, I am all for understanding language, especially the why and how it's used. There are things we said as kids which would not and should never fly again. Also there are things kids say and do nowadays which are wildly improper and they should never have allowed to start much less continue. Now that we've gone off the deep end, the fact remains, I think most people should do more for those in need. You cant wait on the money to trickle down from the government. Companies are made of empolyees, cities of communities and neighborhoods of families. Together we can Build a better and brighter future. We can all help, even if we only help one person.
@@wintermagebarthow8481 Typical leftist response, saying " While I'm not a fan of political correctness" while at the same time preaching political correctness.
Totalitarian regimes start with speech censorship to obtain thought control and obedience and finish with death and famine. And that little fire box used to create power is one cool little gadget, but useless at the same time.
@@jwyzdm its funny how you claim to be a champion if free speech, yet you go off the deep end by hearing speech. Be advised that " totalitarian censorship" is a police state troupe most closely associated with the ideology of regimes and those who support their tactics like Stalin, Franco, Trump, Putin, Kim,...dont drink so heavily from the rhetorical kool aide pitcher. It doesn't matter what they call themselves: Peoples democracy, Union of socialist, Reich, ...there are several signs: Racial Scapegoating
National pride propaganda, unchecked police power, military idealization, rewriting history, silencing of peaceful protest, false claims of election illegitimacy....sound familiar? The problem we have now is that propaganda has taken the place of real news. This is straight out of the KGB rulebook, and incidentally the NAZI era tactics as well. We Dont have to always agree on the course of action if our goals are the same. Parents don't Always was agree every time but because their joint goal , in healthy homes, is to raise a safe and healthy child they reach overall consensus. Its time to pull back from the edge and start think again. A house divided can not stand.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada thanks for sharing this video
on the first on, I know I always have a truck with a lift attached to it to hang camping tents from the trees, with me... doesn't everyone?
❤ all your ideas! ❇
The hanging tent! Do you find a permanent spot to hang it? Because it looks very difficult to hang and take down every time you go camping!! Looks like a big inconvenience to me
Yes, your yard or your own property
I don't see why you can't just put it down lower unless you're someplace with bears, wolves or mountain lions.
1st, that was designed by an "artist", so practicality is not it's forte. I would say, that this could be used in a "campground" environment, where you RENT one to stay the night.
Tethering yourself to a natural lightning rod
Love the quick chair great for walking along the beach stop and enjoy
Swissroombox. Great for that one day of sunshine we get in the UK.
Beautiful and Awesome.
Going camping or moving house for 6 months? He made it look easy to fold the instant tent back. I bet many people will have problems folding it back.
That cabin looks great for something I am probably going to build once and leave in that spot forever.
I think I would like the QuickLite cabin over a tent during the next Sharknado
Instra privy!!!!👍👍👍

That flame cube probably has some really good military survival applications.
Like charging communications equipment.
@Bob Quickenden yes....British Military Vetern UA-camr has assured me of the importance of a cup of tea before battle. If I remember correctly, the punishment for having a cup of tea before battle is death or something...as an Irishman, I can understand. 🙃😊😇😀🇮🇪☕🇬🇧
I like to buy one of those quick lights cabins
This video would be a little more satisfying with sourcing and pricing information not to mention more detailed assembly, teardown and storage. FYI
We all know if that info was provided people would realize what useless junk all this is.
I mean they mention the brand so it's not hard to google them.
All winners. Every product looks very beneficial to take on the camp! Much Love!
Really??? Whose going to carry around a big ballsack tent that needs to be set up 15 feet in a tree.
Number one for me: the fire-cube. The portable toilet is nice, but you must take away the waste (iiiii ).
Well, the only difference is that minutes before, you were carrying it in your body, and now it's in a bag! ;-)
You should look at BioLite stoves. I've used mine both for backpacking and on my deck during a power outage.
@nexus169 Why not bury whithout bag ?
Nice one ❤️
Get the porta-pottys for Washington DC...as they are full of it
Really cool stuff!
That Swiss room box looks like a great idea, for larger vehicles. Like SUV's and family freindly pickup trucks.
Or maybe even basically any pickup trucks, now that I think of it.
Too bad the company went out of business several years ago and you can't buy them anymore.
@@ffaristocrat ha. OK. Thanks tmfor the information though.
Very informative video....i like toilet seat and it's set up....keep it up brother
The fireflower may work, but demo-ing over uncleared, dried ground litter is irresponsible at best.
Wow, I came here looking for this comment. Jaw-dropping! "Let me just pour in some charcoal; let the dust and small pieces fall through the holes onto the very dry organic ground litter - some (most) would call it kindling - and then set everything on fire. The fireflower, the ground under the fireflower, the whole forest really. What the holy hell?!
Insta privy was my favorite here. Nature hits me more often than most.
Fast pitch tent looks perfect.
They sell those at my local farm store. Nice idea, but lower end company with the quality. Coleman IS better than Ozark Trail though.
I liked the tent, chairs, and toilet seat.
Now I only need a crane to go camping
Wow those balloons are cool, and like you said a must have for those going on camping trips, but what about the crane truck.
The Insta privy, and the flame cube are now on my to get list.
Both seem gimmicky, but in a "That looks handy," sorta way.
Click chairs are heavy as hell but they're the BEST car-camp/beach chair we've ever used.
WE ARE ALL ABOUT CAMPING AND WE WOULD TOTALLY GET ALL OF THEM IF WE NEEDED THEM LOL. THIS YEAR, I THINK OUT OF THIS FABULOUS LIST OF Y'ALL'S, THE ONLY THING WE NEED AND PROBABLY WILL GET IT SOON WILL HAVE TO BE THE PRIVATE POTTY IN A PACK... LOL SORRY I MADE MY OWN NAME BUT I HAVE " CRS" SINCE I HAD SEIZURES 2YRS AGO FIRST TIME & I WAS HOSPITALIZED AND CRITICAL MEMORY LOSS. SO PLEASE LAUGH THRU LIVING LIFE WITH MY HUMOR NOT HUMILITY AND TY BLESSED TO SEE YET ANOTHER DAY💯💚😃
Awesome gear...
Insta Privy is the best idea for a traveler or mother. WHERE ARE THEY SOLD??
I love the pull over privacy cover as a step beyond other portable toilets.
Great inventions! Thanks!
The Instaprivy looked like a great design until I realized it could only hold up to 250lbs.
best get down to 250lbs or less!
But you're in the woods. Why are you pooping into a plastic bag? Everything coming out of you Is (hopefully) biodegradable, and so is toilet paper. The plastic seems unnecessary, and really gross. I mean, what do you with it? Clean it out for reuse? Even if it's biodegradable itself, it seems like unnecessary garbage.
