Good job on the video! Looking for some new things for my Kalamax deck and wanted to put this here for anyone else doing the same on a budget. In my Kalamax deck, I have 2 infinite combos that I find easy to do with few cards. One is a similar Ral, Storm conduit infinite combo with reverberate- have Kalamax tapped on another players turn, cast reverberate targeting an instant or sorcery spell they play, reverberate will copy off of Kalamax and target the original reverberate, going infinite with counters on Kalamax and damage with Ral. The other invoked simply playing Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and a hyrax tower scout. Make a cop of Hyrax tower scout with Kiki and do it over and over again to have infinite hasty 3/3s and swing out on everyone. Hope this helps anyone!
Most glaring omissions are expansion / explosion (easiest way to ral combo) and roiling regrowth (over kodamas reach) imo but I got a couple ideas from this too. Good video.
@@vex_mtg ah yeah that may be the case. There was another card similar to growth spiral called joint exploration which seems potentially worth including as well. Also like Hunter's insight potentially but a bit risky (still a 3 mana draw 10+ if it works)
I could be wrong about this but could you just copy the reverabte with kalamax copying the reverberate again and keep doing that. This would be instant speed and if you have Ral you would win the game. All you need is for an opponent to play a spell to cast reverberate for the first time.
Hi @Jack Greenway, you are correct, you can cast Reverberate in response to an in opponent's spell and win the game with a tapped Kalamax and Ral on the battlefield.
You can also cast reverberate in response to any sorcery you cast before it and use Kalamax's ability to copy your reverberate and so on. You never need 2 copy spells as long as Kalamax is tapped.
@@vex_mtg just got back to magic after a 9 year break, and then i was back after another 9 year break. really happy to have found you channel. keep it up!
@@vex_mtg you can cast a sorcery yourself, cast reverberate on the sorcery, then have tje reverberate copy target the original. Thats the loop in which youre not dependant on your opponents to take action.
@@vex_mtgwhat he wants to imply is that you cant go off by casting an instant before any copy spell, as the cope spell itself wont get copied and u cant go into a loop.

Thanks @Aye Jay! Thanks for the budget recommendations!
Would love to see an update on this. Tons of great new cards for the deck from strixhaven and some other sets
I usually don't update decks, I just keep them the same way to reduce power creep. I have decks that have stayed the same for almost 3 years.

Yeah, totally missed Expansion / Explosion. I believe Roiling Regrowth wasn’t printed when I made this deck tech, but definitely a good choice.

Cheers for the video. Some solid inspiration.
No problem @Yontanian. 👍

You should try out Valakut Awakening. Playing it myself in my Kalamax list and thr card advantage you get from it is bonkers.
Thanks for the suggestion @SuperHeftigDaviD, I'll have to try it out.
Card advantage?
@@Zeromus5555 Sure. You get to filter your hand twice and draw two additional cards in total.
is there a cheaper way to do the loop?
@A7md's A , you can always response your opponent's spell with a copy spell, so you only need 2 mana to make the copy.
What do you think about Telekinesis?
Hi @Jose Haya, I think it's an okay card. If you like it, I would recommend trying it out! Thanks for checking out my video.

The first spell has to be a sorrcery not an instant
Hi @Outof Order, can you elaborate on which first spell you are referring to?

Nice try.
I tried @kenneth McCubbins
