I got a Shadow Squadron two pack last year that lives in its box and it's my only one that I've never opened and likely never will unless I happen upon another like I did the first.

The only figure I refuse to ever open is the archive Commander Cody because of sentimental reasons. Story for context:
When the line was still finding its footing in the early years, that figure just never showed up in any of the stores I lived near. It's like they just skipped that wave in my town and moved into the next one. My uncle however, got one no problem. Years later, the archive added that figure and my Uncle swore he would hunt for it in his state while I looked too. Eventually, he gave me the call that he found one and promised to mail it for me.
He never got the chance as he passed away suddenly within that same month. When we came up for the funeral, it was still sitting in his office with the price sticker attached. Our last exchange over text was him apologizing for not sending it because of stress from work and home. He was one of the core people in my life that got me into collecting and enjoying Star Wars. Having one of our last conversations being about that figure makes it difficult to ruin it even if it isn't worth anything really. The thought he was still looking out for me before he passed makes it even more special than any value a collector ever could. And so it stays sealed, hanging from a thumb tack on my collection wall with that same little sticker showing what he paid for it.

Mine is the TPM-style packaging Shiny Maul. I've now had every release of Maul since the line started, but one of my first figures was the OG TPM Maul handed down by my brother, so I keep that one safe and on my wall above by Star Wars bookshelf
Loved that!!! Eager for your Falcon diorama video. On my wishlist is a Black Series scale Falcon cockpit with lights and sounds. Seems like that would be a crowd-pleaser, but still never been made, so, a Grail!
Hasbro has a special talent when it comes to NOT releasing obvious crowd-pleasers...
Nice! The only BS figure in my collection that I never opened is the X-Wing Pilot Luke. It's the archive release but, never the less, that's the one I'm keeping in the packaging.

I am mostly an inbox figure collector, but one I will NEVER absolutely by any means ever open is the SDCC 2013 Boba Fett & Han Solo frozen in carbonite. Mint still in box & tied to the packaging. The original plastic free packaging. Well aside from the plastic ties lol

I only have a couple figures on card. One is the George trooper, another is the War of the Bounty Hunters Boba. Neither are crazy expensive, but I just like the way they look carded.

That millennium falcon set is amazing. I can only imaging the print time on it though.

I am 99.9% an opener but when I finally got my original Dr. Aphra and Triple Zero I still haven’t quite brought myself to open them yet :-).

Just picked up a first edition Mando. Got a good deal and the box is nice. Everything thing else I have I open and display immediately .
Mine is the Target Exclusive General Grievous that came out when ROTS was in theaters. It was the Demise of Grievous or something to that effect, had carbon scoring effects on him as well as attachable flames. I already had every other Grievous released at that point so I decided it would be better left in package and to this day I’m sooo glad I did! The protective case that figure box came in got dinged but the box and figure itself are still mint to this day 😊
It's not Star wars but the Marvel Legends Stan Lee figure is one I can't bring myself to open. RIP Stan.
I'm the same with the 2003 clone wars Grievous repainted cardback. It's not worth much at all but I just love the box for nostalgia of way back then and I already have a few Grievous' from the main black series, gaming greats battle damage and model kit so I doubt I'll ever open this one

That Kenner deco Fett is the only one of my 365 black series figures that I refuse to open. I have him on shelf next to my childhood 3.75” Fett that I got in the original mail away deal right before empire strikes back came out in 1980. They look great together.
That black series figure and packaging are both glorious. I just can’t bring myself to rip it open.
I have it in a figure shield on the shelf and that’s how it will always stay.

That Kenner Deco Boba is one of my heartaches…I did collect the Kenner figures as a kid and oddly Boba was *not* one of my favorite figures as a kid - something about him just didn’t look Star Wars-y to me (maybe because his blueberry color scheme didnt match his film look, or even his 12” Kenner figure!). But when I saw the SDCC Boba I fell in absolute love. I just have not been able to find him, at least not at an affordable price and I definitely want to open mine or even preferably just buy an opened/loose Boba. I do recall a guy was painting the Black Series Boba Fett in Kenner colors well before Hasbro did the SDCC release, but I think he disappeared after the SDCC one and though I like to customize, I cannot seem to find any close match to the gray/blue hump suit color which is crucial for making a passable version IMO. If anyone has a Pantone color value for the SDCC Kenner Boba’s jump suit and helmet, please share, otherwise he’ll be the one that got away! :-(
I really love that one but can’t justify the price. I have most of the Black Series on Kenner cards and I adore them.
I'm not much of a NIB BS collector, but I have a handful. My favorite is definitely the Clone Wars Target exclusive Anakin on the 2008 style clone wars line cardback.

I got this Boba a couple of months ago, absolutely mint and delivered for £110. Ned Flanders may say "bargarino" but I don't!! 😅 I want a loosey-goosey version at some point as well. I really should display him with the 2013 sdcc Boba/Han carbo 2-pac I picked up a year ago, but they are in two different rooms... Pulled the trigger on brown Kenner Kenobi yesterday, so I'm now 2 figures away from owning every OT figure ever put on a Kenner style anniversary card, for both the 40th and 50th styles. I'm randomly missing Bezzy Han ESB, but my problem then, is foil X-Wing Luke sdcc, which doesn't go for less than 200 quid in Englandlandlandshire. 😢 I may have to sell an internal organ! 😅 Absolutely love these carded figures. Pure SW "noz-thall-jhaa."

I have a few figures in my collection that I haven't opened. A couple of them are signed by a couple of actors, so they aren't open for obvious reasons. I have Grogu and the Jawa that came with the Haslab Razor Crest. As far as Black Series. I have a First Edition Mando and the con exclusives of the Armorer, Cad Bane, Trapper Wolf, and Paz Vizsla.
Hello Luke I was never a Boba Fett fan but if I had that figure I'd keep him in the original packaging inside a protective figure case.
I don't have any figures in black series that are a "must keep in box" figure. I do have a Star Trek Figure from the original Playmates line that I haven't opened and probably never will.
It's a Data figure from the Next Generation series that was a JCPenney exclusive. He wears a red uniform instead of his standard yellow uniform. The figure was very limited and was never rereleased so he is a bit valuable at this time.
The Falcon diorama looks amazing, I wish Hasbro would make dioramas for the black series figures. 😢

I actually put all my Black Series figures into storage except my SDCC Boba Fett, which is also sealed. Its the only figure I still have on display.
Imagine if every single figure you had was only one certain character, would be INSANE imagine like THAT many phase 1 clones or something haha
Mine is the orange robe Kenner Kenobi. Similar reason, not the value but nowhere to put it on the shelf. The card is also straight, which is rare in my experience with carded figs from hasbro. Looks good sticky tac’d to the wall on card.
Nice collection and awesome figure I hope some day we get the canon version of the Starweird in a black series figure that resembles the one in my profile pic from the Doctor Aphra comic it would be different something we haven’t seen in a Star Wars figure before and I happen to be a big fan of the Starweird I think I may even like the lore of the canon one better than legends

For me, it's not Star Wars, but the figure I won't open is Mafex Psylocke. I didn't set out to scalp or anything, but the store I ordered from just took so long to process my order that I thought they'd under ordered or something, so I bought one from another store. By the time the first one shipped, I'd already gotten the second figure and opened it, so I just have a spare. She's expensive on the aftermarket right now, but I have no doubt her value will drop once Mafex releases a new Psylocke like they probably will.
I have a 40th anniversary anh C-3PO I got signed my Anthony Daniel’s that I’ll never open, also a bunch of my favorite figures/character that I have that I wanted sealed
I was never fortunate enough to find that Boba - it was one of the first figures I had as a kid, so it would have been quite something to have. I have some of the first archive figures on their cardbacks, I was aiming for the entire series like that, but have since sold some off because I couldn't complete them. I also have an extra Aayla boxed and white Revan (I think).
To your point of the video being short: you can always turn this video into a UA-cam Short 😁. More content and more algorithm appropriate.
As for NIB collecting, kind of wish I kept the credit collection / alt colored figures I have in box. Now I have a half-filled shelf of figures where it feels weird putting any other figures 😅
Currently, I do have TBS RotJ40 Vader (bought two of him) and the TVC version. Unlike TBS, I found multiple units of TVC for my shelves. Same with the TVC D.Revan as my third unit had QC issues. And yes, at least one of each is carded. And both have gone up in value, especially Revan (gee, I wonder why).
Totally agree with the colletor mindset mate. I really want to enjoy the purchases but its such a rub to know that you have to keep the packaging for future purposes etc. I have started buying used figures without packaging so that i cant feel guilty about the dilema of keeping the packaging. Pops are a prime example, you cant enjoy the entirity of the pop but you want to keep it in the box for the sake of the condition! Spoils the enjoyment for me.
I haven't been able to open Dok Ondar. I was planning on putting him in the cantina display, but now i think im waiting for the ANH hammerhead. Although if hasbro drops black series before it comes out I'm glad to have dok.

This is a hot take but I have every retro collection figure carded and in mint or near-mint condition and have the pre-orders to wrap up the Ahsoka wave (waiting on my Hera and Chopper retro pre-order 😅), and TBOBF wave and anticipate getting the TPM retro collection figures. I do not collect the tie-dye retro collection figures but have all the other ones in mint packaging.
I was able to get the Star Wars Celebration 40th Anniversary X-Wing Pilot Luke Skywalker, and I'm keeping that one on card. I've got a couple of the other Kenner tributes that I haven't opened, mostly because of lack of display space, not to retain value.

I didn't open any of the credit collection mandalorian figures i just like them too much plus the colors would be kinda weird on the display shelf i also have some other Star wars on card that i just can't open because they arrived in such good condition

although i never made it to any of the conventions this boba fett was at, i was able to get it from In Demand Toys for £25 back in the day, and i am Never going to open it (I will like to try and get it signed by Tem Morrison and Daniel Logan some day)
i also got all 6 black series phantom menace card backs (the 2 celebrations for the 20th and 4 lucasfilm 50th) mint on card too which i doubt I'll ever open.
Finally, got clone wars Anakin, Obi-wan and Echo all in box, and signed by their Voice actors at celebration in 2023 (matt and James were literally first thing on day 1, and since no one was there, got a short banter with the two and Dee was last thing on day 1, the queue for dee was 2 hours since he was late, but got to talk with the other 20 people stuck in the que with me) and so are probably my most prized collectables.
Normal mainline figures will porobably never reach the value of the Kener figures since nowdays figures are manufactured in larger numbers and mutch more pepole collect.
Never opened the comic con unmasked Kylo Ren. Love that box with the Titus artwork. Also the figure is pretty shite.

I have a Target exclusive Clone Trooper from the ROTS line. Those figures are rellativrly easy to get here in Chile but I decided to not open it.
I mostly open figures now to play with them a bit. Since I can't see, it's my way to know characters. I appreciate that u can put most TBS figures back in the box. I haven't gotten the plastic free boxes figures I want just yet, so Idk what I'll do then😂. There are so many quakes here that any time I decide to show my figures loose, a tremor will knock them over. Hopefully my english wasn't too rusty. Great channel👏
