I love this too. My gf told me about it. She uses it with ecostyler for wash n go. I have found that my best wash n go is with the SM gel souffle first, next Hawaiian Silky and finally my gel. This combination is heavenly for soft bouncy curls with hold, definition and moisture. I'm trying to find that 4lb tub though.
As you can see I love this stuff! What type of gel do you use as your last step?
+Hair Therapist with a Twist I have tried with several. Camille rose curl maker, kinky curly, eco styler, wetline extreme. It works great with all of them. Right now I'm using with a cheap curling custard from the dollar store that I'm loving the best. I'll have to get the name when I get home. The curl maker and kinky curly is so expensive that I wanted to find a cheaper option. This combo is the bomb. The thicker gels like eco and wetline takes longer to do hair because there is no slip, so I don't use them that often anymore. I'm loving the gels with slip now because I can style my hair much faster. I'll come back later with the name. :)

The gel from the dollar store is African Pride Shea Butter Miracle Curl Styling Custard. Whew! That's a long name. LOL. But if you try it, remember that you don't have to use a lot of it. If you use too much, it can flake. But I found that when I use all three products together, it never flakes. And all three products together lasts awhile. Much longer than using Camille Rose Curl Maker or Kinky Curly Curling Custard. I really like those two, but at those prices and with me washing my hair twice a week, they don't last long. I needed something more economical.

I use Caress Bar soap and a little ORS olive oil shampoo for my hair...guess what my hair is soooo manageable I don't have any trouble styling...My 4C hair turns into 4 awesome hair Lol try it your curls loosen very easily. A dab of conditioner is good too. I have to look hard & travel far to find Hawaiian silky activator.
How often do you apply the hawaiian silky gel throughout the week or between washes?
I normally use the Hawaiian Silky a few times throughout the week if I feel like my hair is dry.
Would you believe I went to the beauty supply store (local one in Ypsilanti, MI called New Image on Emerick St.) this past Sunday and they no longer carry the 4 pound jar of Hawaiian Silky? 😟

Will that gel leave your hair feeling greasy or oily ?
I would describe the feeling as slightly greasy however I think my hair feels wet or moist.
Have you ever used the Hawaiian Silky 14-1 miracle worker?

Does the gel flake or turn white?
