Thanks all for watching. Just to note, unfortunately when rendering (saving from my editing software) there's a 4 second segment showing a placeholder in place of what should have been a beautiful map i've spent a long time creating. @@Trektrendy Awesome! Can you have a look at Air India? They've recently been bought out by Tata (who own Jaguar and Land Rover), and they've already made big improvements on their 787s...
I find the appalling level of cleanliness completely unacceptable. I usually travel economy and I would be horrified to experience that, let alone paying premium rates and encountering it there. In a world grappling with Covid, that cabin was completely unacceptable.
I am usually very annoying when it comes to cleanness, but that’s a whole other level of dirt that I think no one should be okay with! Can’t believe that’s what 5k gets you, absolutely disgusting! I had goosebumps just watching it
@@walk-talk-Kirsten oh, nice, so you either block it or tell a cabin attendant to clean it. Great. Why not clean it yourself? 😂 I've been a cabin attendant, I've NEVER cleaned the plane, and you should know that's it not an attendant's job to clean the cabin - at least on the airline that I worked for. Also, there's no cleaning equipment on the plane - or did you usually carry on your plane a vacuum cleaner? LOL
Will, so enjoy your vids. I’m traveling with you through them! As I write this, it is 2024 June and I haven’t seen anything new from you in at least a year. What gives? Did you take up something else? Please keep doing what you did. It means the world to so many of us! Cheers from Texas!
I once dated a girl who was responsible for cleaning planes between trips, she told me that the work was unbearable and that you are rushed to a point of exhaustion. What should be understood is that the staff are not the problem, the system is.
I do feel for cabin crews, because I'm sure they have a difficult job (particularly the last few years), but if you're paying almost $5K for your ticket? You should not have to sit in someone else's filth for hours and hours. Yikes, that's horrifying.
The cabin crew wouldn’t even be aware of this issue which is the horrible part - UNLESS he told them, which I hope he did, and got some money back or extra points for the trouble. That’s unacceptable but you’re nit helping if you don’t tell them. Although.. I guess Iberia knows now after watching this no doubt. That was filthy.
@@paulgilliland2992 time is the problem cleaners only get 30 minutes to clean the plane. also these planes don't get deep cleaned at their base other airlines do every 2 months
As someone who flys 1st and business a lot I expect it to be clean and perfect for the amount of money I spend. I would have asked for a new seat and even funds back after this flight. This is just unacceptable for any airline to be this dirty. Also, this is why I also purchase a little extra snack(burger, chicken strips etc.. incase the food is bad). Great video as always.
I doubt that you travel first and business often, if ever. You certainly dont pay for it out of your own pocket, no frequent flyer does. And you buy a burger/chicken strips "just in case"? Fantasist.

Oh wow!! It is so unfortunate you experienced this with Iberia! I flew this exact same route and in their business class and my experience was quite the opposite. I had a great experience. So sorry you had to experience this.
This is the filthiest cabin/product I've ever seen reviewed, too. How can they forget to clean the aircraft before part? We are in the middle of a pandemic here where cleanliness is so important. Totally unacceptable and careless attitude my Iberia. Great review. Keep it up.
The only other filthy cabin I’ve seen on par was Tunisian Air video here on UA-cam. This is disturbing, and shocking coming from a European legacy full line carrier flying transatlantic routes. It’s disgusting because the dirt and grim are everywhere. I can only imagine what else is unseen in the galley. I notice a lot of these European carriers are falling in service and standards. Non Stop Dan had a bad review of Lufthansa as well. To add insult to injury the ticket price is day light robbery for what is essential gas station ⛽️ level of service. This is disgraceful for the Spanish flag Carrier.
Looks like they didnt only forget to clean before departure but for several months as it seems. This kind of build-up does not happen in a couple of flights...
What I love is that while other UA-cam reviewers just fly the same airlines over and over you take the time to fly on the less popular or well known ones. Sometimes it works out and sometimes not but at least we get honest reviews from you not simply the same airlines (Qatar Emirates etc) over and over again.
That was utterly disgusting. How you managed to sit there through the whole flight without hurling is commendable. Not sure if you tried to switch seats. Even if you were able to, the rest of the cabin and the seats were probably just as dirty. After watching this, crossing Iberia off my list for future flying. Love your videos, can't wait to watch more.
@@dankelly5150 some airlines literally kick their cleaners out as quickly as possible if it means a dirty plane then so be it. Other airlines give way more time for cleaning staff.
I am from Spain, and a regular Iberia Business Class flyer. Sadly, located in Madrid and traveling to LatAm Iberia is the most convenient in terms of the facilities you have in Barajas, but literally in every single Business flight I have gotten in other airlines, the experience has been a lot better than Iberia. The details have been completely lost in search of cost savings! The last remarkable flight I got was KLM Madrid-Amsterdan-CDMX, and it was excellent. Iberia is just going downhill and it's sad to see.
Iberia is a Spanish airline founded in 1927 and one of the oldest airlines in the world. In 2010 it merged with British Airways, resulting in a new holding company called IAG (International Airlines Group) based in London. Conclusion: IAG, from London, decides how clean its planes should be. Someone else wonders if IAG may have an interest in tarnishing Iberia's image and thus strengthening British Airways' image. There may be a lot more crap here than what you're showing.
Simple, drinks are paid in half and one of the two does not drink. IAG wants to turn Iberia into a low-cost product, leaving British Airways as the only first-class airline. Iberia has ceded its routes in South America, South Africa, the domestic market, etc... Question: Who has kept Iberia's routes? It's the problem of having a colleague who plays dirty... who can fill your planes with shit.
I honestly think BA and Iberia compete to see which one is more crap. BA Business class is known to be one with the lowest quality, services and horrible food( I have experienced it myself in several occasions) but Iberia is not far if not sometimes even worse than BA … therefore IAG is just full of crap
I was already shocked in the beginning.. now at the end, I’m still astonished by how filthy and how cheap this 1stClass is.. and the fact people are actually paying $5k for this ! Idk how every single customer hasn’t walked off and banded with the others to demand better or at least refunds.
Thank you for high lighting your experience with Iberia. The worst International travel experience I have ever had was with Iberia some 10 years ago. The worst part was I booked with another airline but was re directed on a connected flight. Nothing has changed as you have clearly demonstrated.
I was looking just a couple of days ago for business class fares to Madrid, and came across Iberia. No way that I would give them a try now, after watching this video! Wow! Thanks for the heads up!
I'm honestly super curious to see Iberia's response here. I remember your video about how Air Canada reached out to you when their cabin crew was rather rude to you. This too is absolutely inexcusable. The sheer filth during a pandemic. Damn. Keep us posted about Iberia's response?
@@Trektrendy I’ve never experienced a response from Iberia when I’ve communicated a complaint or a concern after a flight with them. They just don’t care.

Had the misfortune of flying Iberia about 15 years ago on a long haul flight. It was an experience I wouldn’t inflict on anybody. Took rude hostesses and shocking service and food to another level. How they still exist beggars belief if their service evidently hasn’t improved.
Did the airline reach out to you? That would be unacceptable in normal times but , that’s a disgrace, totally unsanitary. I’m sorry you you had to experience their laziness, and total disregard for cleanliness. I have no plans to ever fly that airline, ever. Thanks for the truthful review.
Thanks for watching Alexander. It really was a shame to experience a flight this filthy, part of me hopes this was just an off day but that level of dirt takes months to build up. My hope is Iberia can use this sort of feedback to improve their product for all passengers. Wishful thinking though I feel.
@@Trektrendy how did you stomach to eat that food knowing you sat in a pile of dirty up to your eyeballs? The air quality must be poor as well. I would have slept with one eye open and never flinched a muscle knowing something creepy was crawling all around me. This is Damning for Iberia. Shameful and disgusting 🤮
@@triffus This was just posted yesterday - I doubt any airline would react within 24 hours to any flight review video posted on UA-cam over the weekend
Agree, Iberia generally are not pleasant to fly with. I normally fly Business and its pretty pointless with them. They go out of their way to under deliver. They obviously don't have enough staff to clean the planes and they also never have enough check in desks open. One thing that really annoys me is that they always try to remove your checked bag allowance if you upgrade... Why are you removing my checked bag because I upgraded? If this is what we can see, how are their mechanical safety checks??
Great video as always Will! Wow, that was a messy plane. The actual hard product seat didn't look too bad, just a shame about the cleanliness and the soft product! Makes Iberia look the least worth flying out of all of IAG or Oneworlds carriers.
I stopped flying with Iberia years ago (which is hard when your wife is Spanish and you have a holiday home in Spain!) it was always a terrible experience and made Ryan Air look first class. Thank you for reminding me how bad an airline it is.
@@meadc6754 Don't get me wrong, I totally dislike Ryan Air, but I have had many worse flights with Iberia. I fly Easyjet or when the route is open BA and have even driven by car over taking another Iberia flight!
for me personally, Iberia is still the best option to fly from Germany to Spain (my s.o. is Spanish as well). The staff usually is really nice to me. As for the alternative, Vueling looks and feels cheap and their FAs are really rude.
Ryan Air better than Iberia?? Ahaha I get that a lot of people here hate Iberia- it is ok is a company - and reading some comments is clear that hispanophobia is a thing in some countries, but not this, please, be serious...
Only experience with Iberia was March last year. They left my luggage at Miami while I flew to Madrid and onto Barcelona. I had paid for upgrade to first class. The dinner and drinks were fine. I got my luggage delivered about 36 hrs later. It was a very challenging trip overall. First leg was missing my Transatlantic cruise departure. Atlanta Airport lost my luggage...I bothered people and found it was sitting abandoned at a pier it was later delivered to the wrong hotel 🤣 it was in short a learning experience.
Iberia have ALWAYS been dreadful - and I mean DREADFUL. We lived in Madrid for a few years in the early 90's. One of the first trips back to London we flew on an MD80. I requested a no smoking seat ( ie front section of the biz cabin ). Once on our way the people in the opposite row, row 3 I think lit up! I asked one of the cabin crew if that was allowed...she said ' oh yes, no smoking this side, smoking that side!!!! What loon came up with that idea? In effect the WHOLE aircraft was a smoking section. Needless to say we avoided Iberia like the plague from then on. As a side note Aerolinas Argentinas ran a service between LHR and Madrid in those days using 747's, and we often travelled back and forth with them and they were lovely in all respects.
It's a crime that this channel doesn't have at least 400k subs. What a massively underrated channel. Keep putting out the good work man and stafe safe!
TT. I concur with everything you have said about Iberia. We have just flown back business class from Miami to the UK via Madrid and it was awful. The flight was delayed by 2 hrs but we only found this out when went to the gate for the boarding time. in the airport lounge and on their app it was still showing as departing on time at 18.20. When we did finally board at 20.10 we didn't take off until 20.50. This delay almost cost us our connection in MAD. Food was awful, seat was awful, staff were unhelpful and safety was a joke. The woman opposite me was still in a reclined position with her eye mask on as we came in to land. As we hit the tarmac 2 bottles of water came bouncing down the aisle. The best part of the trip was the use of the Flagship lounge at Miami pre flight I won't be flying Iberia again. Steve. C.
The plane was literally, a garbage can in the sky. The level of indifference to hygiene is shocking - where are the standards? It's obvious, that plane has not been properly cleaned, in some time. I have flown Iberia, numerous times - 1st time in 1973, JFK to MAD - and although not what I would consider a top international carrier, this is just unacceptable and unnecessary. I can still remember when they offered their female passengers a red rose, upon boarding, and handed out these yummy hard shell candies with chewy interiors and meals came with wine, in Coach! My parents were Spanish and I lived there, as a child, so seeing this video is upsetting. Spain has evolved since the 70's into a very sophisticated and modern country and with world renown products - they need to have a serious re-branding to showcase the best of Spain. Don't give up on them! They have amazing connectivity to the Americas - try Buenos Aires :-D
The Spain of the 70's in which you and I both grew up was much better, more civilized, refined, and efficient. Today? Un pila de mierda que no vale ni para tirar de la cadena del retrete.
I flew from NYC to Madrid then Pamplona on august 21, and dinner was served with wine, I got two bottles. They also had beer and soft drinks available plus the Stewardess were very friendly.
OK, so speaking as someone who's been around aircraft since 1973 at Heathrow Airport, I can tell you a few things specifically to British Airways and their standards: 1) The cleaning crew has incredibly strict protocols for cleaning, vacuuming etc. and they usually have a Supervisor that oversees the cleaning as well as a Manager assigned to the flight. So, that tells me that this is a systemic failure of the cleaning company by the look of the long-term build-up of crud and old product behind/under the seats. Since this is not this flight's first round-trip, this bird has been flying dirty for weeks if not months. 2) There is a Redcap on the aircraft (or equivalent title) who oversees the cleaning/fueling/replenishing of food and drinks. The Redcap is the equivalent of the Captain between the arriving and departing Skipper and he/she is wholly responsible for the condition of the aircraft at handover. If the aircraft interior is a pigsty, he has the ability to act, up to and including pulling the plane from service, until the aircraft is suitable for service. 3) The cabin crew usually does a walk-through of every seat and every galley and cleanliness is a priority. The Purser (or equivalent) usually does a walk-through just to make sure everything is A-1. The Cabin Services Officer (or equivalent) then usually does a brief walk-through to confirm with the Purser that all is Kosher and that there are no safety, cleanliness or supplies issues that will impact the service. 4) When the Captain arrives at the aircraft, the CSO confirms to the Skipper that the aircraft is suitable for flight from a service standpoint and "away we go." From what I saw from your video, there is a fundamentally systemic failure of protocols with regard to cleaning this aircraft (I know, that was obvious, but it needs to be said). The airline needs to have a letter of complaint sent to its CEO, and I'd include your video for reference, itemizing the level of filth throughout the cabin and the apparent disregard of the command levels inside the cabin to protect the passengers from serious health issues. They can internally address what you saw and experienced. Now, Iberia is not a small airline. Iberia bought several South American carriers to strengthen their hold on the market and grew exponentially. In 2010 Iberia merged with British Airways to form IAG. Their standards used to always be at the top level of air carriers and you could literally eat off the carpets. What an absolute disgrace for a national flag-carrier on one of its premier routes.
Somehow, I’m not surprised by this video, though I would have hoped that my experience with Iberia many years ago was an anomaly. Upon takeoff from Barcelona heading to NYC, a large piece of the ceiling fell down and landed in the aisle, obstructing the pathway to the exits for most passengers in that cabin, and thankfully avoiding hitting anyone when falling. No announcement was made, no attempt was made to remove it or clean it up, and the flight continued to NYC as if nothing happened. I’m disappointed to see that nothing has changed with Iberia. Definitely won’t be giving them a second chance.
Flying with Iberia airlines is a waste of everything. The service SUCKS completely in any way that you look at it or try it to understand. Seems to me that some Spaniards employees in general have developed the I DON'T CARE ATTITUDE, and is very obvious everywhere.
@@juangamundi3050 Absolutely true. Iberia crews usually have a "nose up" attitude and believe you're enough well treated by giving you the incredible honor of flying in their plane. I avoid them if possible.
Will, thanks for this eye opening review. Whenever I experience a cabin in awful condition ( once I boarded an international flight in Business Class and the seatback was slashed and the entire seat jiggled when I changed position in it 😱) my first thought is, " is this indicative of their maintenance also?" Maybe I am over reacting but if an airline can't maintain a reasonably clean cabin, are they capable of maintaining the airworthiness of the aircraft? This video creeped me out. I am just glad that you arrived in Madrid safely. Take care and enjoy your week.
Did you notice at the very end that the “IB” from their name were missing from the engine cover? There may be a very simple explanation for it, but seems like some kind of part was replaced with an off the shelf item and they didn’t bother to replace the logo. The plane might be perfectly airworthy but the lack of attention to detail gives me just enough pause to wonder what other corners they cut.
Thanks for the great review and sorry for the awful experience. I’m a Spaniard myself and try to avoid it like the plague. Unfortunately this is not always possible depending on the destination. If this is the transatlantic product try to imagine their domestic cabin, they give you low cost service and legroom at regular price.
I flew Iberia business class Lima to Madrid, the food was good and the cabin was clean. It was an overnight flight and like all my previous Iberia overnight flights the staff were absent after the meal. With BA even in economy , the staff walked the aisles giving out drinks to those that were awake.
Iberia really does suck. I’ve had several bad experiences with them, but the worst one was when they told me the flight I was on was overbooked and me and my other 4 family members would most likely not be able to get on. It was on a flight from Madrid to Rome, and missing the initial flight would mean that I would also miss my connecting flight to Split. The lady at the check-in counter couldn’t have been any more rude & dismissive. Regardless, we got our tickets and made it to the gate. We were already scrambling looking for alternative flights, or looking for other passengers on the flight that would be willing to sell their tickets. Once all people on the gate boarded, we approached the gate to see if there were any empty seats left. Turns out, the flight was half empty, and all our worries had been for nothing/that dumb c*nt at the check-in counter.
This is almost the same experience I had on a MIA-MAD flight in May. I was amazed how filthy the plane was. I was in 1A. There was dust and grime everywhere.
Wow, wow, wow. Thanks for taking one for the team, Will. I am utterly disgusted by both the hard and soft product. That seat is nothing to write home about to begin with. To see that this airline takes absolutely no pride in maintaining their equipment they have is so, so disappointing. Everything was revolting. Note to self, don't bother paying for a premium seat on Iberia and to avoid Iberia unless absolutely necessary.
I was shocked on what I saw, so happy you posted this and hopefully the head of Iberia Airlines saw this video and fixes this situation on all their aircraft. What a disgrace....This was NOT business class!!! I wouldn't even fly economy with this airline.
I've recently flown Iberia Bisiness class from Bogotá to Madrid and it was a great experience. Clean seats, great food and attentive service. True I did not checked the little spots but what I've seen in the video was unacceptable for a great airline like IBERIA. Hope is not the standard. Thanks for all the great videos.
Forget the food, forget the less then welcoming crew, forget the in flight entertainment, that filth would make me physically ill. How can an airline operate like that?
Experienced the same Barcelona to San Francisco 2019 so they can’t blame Covid. The only thing Iberia is concerned with is getting your money while delivering subpar service, food, and drinks. I will only ever fly Iberia if there is no other airline available otherwise I avoid them.
Holy cow! That level of “deep dirt” is unacceptable and symptomatic of a complete failure in their systems and processes. In any public space one can forgive dirt and untidiness caused by, say, a messy passenger using the bathroom immediately before you. But this was systemic, long-term, deep-seated dirt and, therefore, a greater health hazard. I had a similar experience visiting the bathroom in a branch of a well-known sandwich chain in London last year. Same problem; deep, ingrained dirt built up over a long period as a result of no more than superficial cleaning. For balance, I recently took an Iberia business class flight LHr-MAD, and on to Lanzarote. Service, catering and cleanliness were all exemplary. In fact the catering was better than on the BA Club Europe flight back (although the BA service was better).
Great review as per usual! Haven’t flown with Iberia yet, after this I don’t think I will😂 Still would love for you to consider flying Taag Angolan airlines, would be an amazing review of either their business or first class
The five times I've flown Iberia (4 in Business Class), like you, I found the the food and more especially the crew, appallingly cold and could'nt care less about their profession or their charges (that's you and me). I've no doubt there are some who are very considerate and professional but I've yet to meet one. Without exception, any interaction with ground staff at check-in and arrivals was nothing short of arrogance and total rudeness. I wrote a letter of complaint, and guess what? Never got a response, not even after I followed up with a phone call after a few weeks and the usual empty promises.
Similar experience here. Only flew them once from Madrid to Cuba, won't fly them again. I didn't expect a budget experience, but got one nonetheless. It was the cheapest option, but not by far. Next time, I'm just spending a bit more money. Crew could barely speak English, so unless you had a standard question, you were out of luck. Service was the bare minimal. At least the plane was relatively clean.
To be fair Chicago gets a lot of snow but London hardly any so they wouldn't be geared up for it.London was 11c today but Chicago -11c and there in lies the answer as to why it wouldn't be viable to have a fleet of snow plows in London that'd only get used every 5 years or even longer!
I've flown IBERIA business class several times, long and short-haul and I've never seen anything like that. Quite the opposite. Staff were nice, food amazing and perfect aviation standards. I am sorry you went through that experience. Thanks for your videos!
This is such an insight into these types of flights. I’m flying business class in November to New York and I’m looking forward to seeing what it will be like and if it’s actually worth it
Great video, sorry it was such a bad experience. You were so polite. I hope Iberia watch your review. I’ve flown Iberia hundreds of times, since I was a child. Iberia has changed a lot through the years, as have many other airlines. The condition of that plane was unacceptable for any class, even economy, but especially for business, and during a pandemic more so!!! I’ve found that on long international flights the crew tend to be not too friendly, and even rude. The food I agree is not the best. I’ve had that omelette before and it is awful!!!! I always fly economy and I’ve never seen anything as bad as that. I would have complained big time if I had paid business and saw how filthy everything was. Totally unacceptable!! On domestic flights I find the crew tend to be friendlier. I’ve also seen a few new planes and all looked pretty clean, plus when you enter the plane they give you a towelette to disinfect your surroundings. One thing I never understood is why their English pronunciation is so bad. I always cringe, LOL. BTW, I am a Spaniard, raised in NYC, living in Germany. I look forward to more of your videos. Thanks 😊
I travelled IBERIA for the first time last week. A short hop from Barcelona to Madrid in seats that looked like they were from a bus. Then a long haul Madrid to San Juan, PR in super tight economy. And yes the bathrooms were disgusting and stopped flushing half way thru the flight. Food was ok to be honest but not far as good as American flying the similar route. GREAT VIDEO - thanks.
That plane was disgusting. Thank you for the review and I will never use this airline. I could not have sat in all that filth and would have exited the plane before takeoff. 🤢🤢
Strangely enough I flew the same class last year on MAD-HAV-MAD (return in economy) and I found the plane clean, the crew friendly and professional, the food tasty and in addition to this we arrived about half an hour ahead of the time in both directions. And it was way cheaper. So it all depends on how lucky you are, I guess.
What a surprise...I´ve flown Iberia in First Class back when they had it on their 747s, in Business Class and on domestic Economy within Spain. They are consistently and across all three cabins the crappiest airline flying to Europe. I had a contractual obligation to fly with them for a period of time so I can assure you, it´s not a one-off. Sullen crew, bad food, filthy cabins. Par for the course on Iberia. I avoid them.
Absolutely disgusting, I've flown some questionable carriers in my time, especially in Africa, but this aircraft is one of the filthiest I have ever seen on a review. I normally give good feedback for crew and ask airlines to put a note in CSMs and other flight crew staffs files of a positive nature,,,, but this I would have lodged a complaint for sure! Terrible experience from the look of it sadly.
I have flown Iberia many times, but after my last experience, no more. A year ago, we booked two business class seats from NY to Madrid at a special price. When we got to JFK, we were told that there had been a change of aircraft and they could no longer accommodate us in Business class. To be honest, I now think the business class tickets at the price we paid were just a scam to get people to book with the airline. Once we arrived in Madrid, I had to be the one to seek out compensation. Iberia did not contact me at all. Moreover the refund I (eventually) received (it took six months) meant that, in effect, I paid over and above the going rate for the two economy seats they we ended up sitting in. I felt duped! I was duped. Never again!
Dear Trek , I would like to apologize for encountering such a nasty business class seat in Iberia, we Spaniards are known to have one of the greatest Mediterranean food in the world, therefore I do not understand that Iberia have such a menu. I hope that some of Iberia managers will have a look at your honest video and take some drastic measures, in order to solve this unpleasant situation. Good luck traveling around the world and thank you for making these honest videos, I hope that during your stay in Madrid you have the opportunity to taste some of our valuable foods. Cheers PEPE
Thanks for the review. I have flown them several times pre-pandemic to/from Latin America and Madrid and had wonderful experiences each time. Hoping your experience is not indicative of post-pandemic service with them.
I always wipe down everything around me, even pre pandemic. It's amazing just how much dirt you pick up. Also I do the buttons and touch screens. I did it in ANA first, the crew came over in horror .asking what the problem was. I thought she was going to commit sepuku. Told her it's my routine .
Japanese people tend to take a lot of pride in their customer service/hospitality skills and in keeping things clean. They probably thought that you were wiping the seat down because it wasn't clean enough. Which, to them, (if this were the case) would be a massive embarassment on their end. I know it's your routine, but try and keep this in mind the next time you fly on a Japanese carrier. You'll usually have nothing to worry about anyways.
Cleanest flight I have ever been on was from Singapore to Shanghai. After each person had been to the toilet, an air hostess went in to check the cleanliness
I'd be afraid to use the toilet! What if you left a skidmark? A P.A. announcement? A trip to the time-out seat? There's no escaping that kind af scrutiny.
Great video. Sadly enough I had the same awful experience not so long ago. The crew wasn't that great as well on my trip last time as they where rude to me and also other passengers on the plane. I definitely won't be flying with them any time soon.....
I thought I'd flown on some dirty planes before, but never seen anything like that. Even worse, a $5000 USD seat! The even sadder part is, with the loo review...it most likely was the entire plane, not just your seat/loo. I'd be demanding some serious answers/refund action. One question, did you tell the crew of the situation both dirt and the breakfast?
As a Spaniard who often flies with Iberia I can say it's biggest problem is actually canceling flights. They'll make up the darnest excuses like "oh they haven't sent us the list of passengers from Spain" and keep you waiting for hours before you can board, because their time organization is so poor.
@@infjelphabasupporter8416 Bad luck having a delay/canceled flight with Iberia, they usually dont do that if it isnt for safety reasons. Try Iberia an other time! I am sure it will be a nice flight.
Holy Moly! These video are brilliant and really important. You hope Iberia watch these. Do you send to the CEO? They need to see this to up their game. How do you find Emirates? About to do the same on their 380. Mind you I should search your channel :-) Great video and commentary. Thank you.
It's becoming increasingly apparent that since Covid instead of cleaning more, Companies are cleaning less. I seriously hope that Iberia reach out and return the extra from economy to buisness class. I think there would be less filth if you had slept on the airport floor! Iberia should be utterly ashamed 🤢
Thanks for this!!! I will never be flying Iberia to Spain. I already have trouble sleeping on planes and combo that with being a clean freak, there's absolutely no way I will ever be flying Iberia.
Glad that you enjoyed your experience at O'Hare! I've always found it to be underrated, but then again, I am biased. (Before I knew it was O'Hare, for some reason, I assumed it was a British airport like Heathrow, so I thought, "wow, that British airport looks a lot like O'Hare." D'oh)
In light of how contagious Covid is, I’d be really angry to be on this flight where everything looks used, dirty and not well maintained. Fortunately I’ve no desire to fly Chicago to Madrid.
I’ve just seen this... 4 months later, but the irony is not lost on me! In a world that is screaming about cleanliness and requiring masks they should be ashamed! Would love to know if Iberia reaches out to you about this!
10 months ago the service was VERY poor on Iberia, Tap Portugal, Air Europa, pretty much all of them. I know because I fly bi-monthly business class from Spain to Miami. The service is getting a little better as staffing improves. I am in contacts with executives at the airlines and it's sad but they really don't give a you know what for us passengers. And, I am a Star Alliance Gold member. I earned the miles, no shortcuts...
Just flew Iberia from Madrid to Bogotå in business...same experience. The crew is totally ignoring passengers (after the meal service, nobody show up till landing), toilet floor wet and full of disgusting things, toilet paper missing 4 hours before landing and never eplaced, bottles of water finished, female crews serving food with loose hair going straight into your plate....I'm craving for South east Asia borders reopening, to fly with a decent airline!
I have Spanish heritage. The family joke growing up was how Iberia made airport approaches. It go like this -control tower to Iberia 245 alpha; Iberia response -Iberia coming down, coming down, coming down…. Control tower to Iberia: Iberia 245 alpha, please…(Iberia interrupts) Iberia coming down, coming down, coming down…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ William, First of all, I apologize for the disgrace you had to endured during this Iberia flight. Furthermore, this truly breaks my heart due to the fact that my twin brother, worked as a chief flight-Attendant with Iberia long ago. Needless to say, if you had not filmed the filth I wouldn't have believed it. It's true concerning on how Iberia management, has not addressed this issue. Moreover, I use to fly my native Iberia airline constantly & I never encountered this nauseating & repugnant lack of basic cleaning on board business class. I sincerely hope, the upper management will see this video. Stay Safe & Healthy... Abrazos
Sad that Iberia has gone so far down. I flew business class on their A340s (very smoooth and quiet) and they were miles better than FIRST class on American Airlines. There must have been a change in upper management or the management thinks they can use the corona excuse to cut back everything.
To protect your feet when flying, I suggest hitting a dollar store and purchasing a cheap pair of slippers. Then, once used, the choice is yours, either discard the, or wash them for re-use. These slippers should be similar to ballet shoes that can easily fit in a pocket of your backpack.

Interesting theory
@@V1S1ONARY_ Its not a theory. You can search about it
I doubt IAG have announced they intend to make Iberia disgustingly shit compared to BA, so yes, it is just a theory.

The best part of the trip was the use of the Flagship lounge at Miami pre flight
I won't be flying Iberia again.

If that’s what the cabin looks like how confident would you be in the safety of the aircraft and what goes on beneath the scenes?
I strongly assume mechanics are being checked by a neutral entity and not the company itself.
4) When the Captain arrives at the aircraft, the CSO confirms to the Skipper that the aircraft is suitable for flight from a service standpoint and "away we go."
From what I saw from your video, there is a fundamentally systemic failure of protocols with regard to cleaning this aircraft (I know, that was obvious, but it needs to be said).

I will only ever fly Iberia if there is no other airline available otherwise I avoid them.
also, precisely BECAUSE Covid, aircraft cleanliness should be much much much better 🥴🤢
WILL TY for ur honesty when reviewing these planes and service. I can’t believe the Lack of cleanliness on this plane.
Haven’t flown with Iberia yet, after this I don’t think I will😂
Still would love for you to consider flying Taag Angolan airlines, would be an amazing review of either their business or first class
Your videos are very well presented, I enjoy all of them.
Hey guy…👋
Love the channel. It occurred to me that if they neglect the cabin like that, what do you think their maintenance schedule is like?
What a surprise...I´ve flown Iberia in First Class back when they had it on their 747s, in Business Class and on domestic Economy within Spain. They are consistently and across all three cabins the crappiest airline flying to Europe. I had a contractual obligation to fly with them for a period of time so I can assure you, it´s not a one-off. Sullen crew, bad food, filthy cabins. Par for the course on Iberia. I avoid them.
Siesta
747s?? Like 25 years ago?? 😂
@@whispie. Learn to read.
I’m from Spain, and I absolutely avoid flying with Iberia, only if there is no other option.
Cheers PEPE
What about Cleanliness?
they have always been like it - anyone who flies a lot knows that Ryanair and SouthWest are better than Iberia.
you dont owe him any apologies, the airline does.
@@rc.... they said what THEY SAID
Iberia was sold off a while ago. It hasn't been Spanish for a long time now.
Hey man, I've watched your channel on and off over the years and really appreciate that you give honest reviews and show the negative sides as well.
I will bring sanitising wipes too!
Something i most likely will never try in my lifetime, to expensive... but gret to see other enjoying it.
great video
Cleanest flight I have ever been on was from Singapore to Shanghai. After each person had been to the toilet, an air hostess went in to check the cleanliness
I'd be afraid to use the toilet! What if you left a skidmark? A P.A. announcement? A trip to the time-out seat? There's no escaping that kind af scrutiny.
Great video. Sadly enough I had the same awful experience not so long ago. The crew wasn't that great as well on my trip last time as they where rude to me and also other passengers on the plane. I definitely won't be flying with them any time soon.....
Watched about 15 of your videos tonight 🤙🏼 made my Friday 🤣 loving your videos. Subscribed
I have never flown on so filthy an air plane and I fly Delta
As a Spaniard who often flies with Iberia I can say it's biggest problem is actually canceling flights. They'll make up the darnest excuses like "oh they haven't sent us the list of passengers from Spain" and keep you waiting for hours before you can board, because their time organization is so poor.
Iberia is known as the most punctual airline in Eroupe -_-
@@kayta6141 Hehe- well not in my experience. If it's true, I wonder what the other airlines are like...
@@infjelphabasupporter8416 Bad luck having a delay/canceled flight with Iberia, they usually dont do that if it isnt for safety reasons. Try Iberia an other time! I am sure it will be a nice flight.
@@kayta6141 It's happened to me more than three times, but who knows!
Cleaning less while charging more
Thanks for this!!!
Also, do you point these things out to the cabin crew? If yes, what are their responses to such a disgusting state of affairs?
I think he points them out via his videos. ;-)
Just flew Iberia from Madrid to Bogotå in business...same experience. The crew is totally ignoring passengers (after the meal service, nobody show up till landing), toilet floor wet and full of disgusting things, toilet paper missing 4 hours before landing and never eplaced, bottles of water finished, female crews serving food with loose hair going straight into your plate....I'm craving for South east Asia borders reopening, to fly with a decent airline!
toilet paper missing? must be the pandemic
You Europeans cant survive 24 hours without giving a Jab at the U.S. its impossible.
To protect your feet when flying, I suggest hitting a dollar store and purchasing a cheap pair of slippers. Then, once used, the choice is yours, either discard the, or wash them for re-use. These slippers should be similar to ballet shoes that can easily fit in a pocket of your backpack.
6:12 I think you have a bit of a rendering issue or missing video here!
Good spot, and its most frustrating as it seemed fine when I previewed before uploading. Will look into it and ensure it doesn't happen again :)
@@Trektrendy it isn't a big deal don't fret, always enjoy the videos :)
Soy española y siento vergüenza de estas cosas, pero eso también depende del aeropuerto de partida. Te sigo a través del mundo. Me encantan tus explicaciones.
An enjoyable and professional review as always. So whose omelet was worse? ElAl or Iberia? Anyway, I hope that your next omelet is better!
When I fly I can tell airplanes don't get a deep clean, at least often, but this is unacceptable!!
I've noticed the quality of flights leaving the US are pathetic. I recently flew delta from SYD to LAX, and it was great. Then did a delta ATL to CDG and it was pathetic (food wise).
A friend of mine used to travel Iberia in the 90’s as they were the only carrier to still allow smoking! 😮
What a terrible experience, after that I would never book Iberia, cattle class not business class, thanks for doing this flight so I don't have to. Iberian Airlines should be ashamed of themselves
I HEAR THAT FIRST CLASS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT THEY CLEAN$$$🤪
Great video. You cannot pay $5k for a flight and have the seat look like that. Heck, at regular fares the seat shouldn’t look like that.
Thanks for the video and the warning!!... That cabin is outrageous!!...
Im really surprised because I've flown iberia recently in economy class and it was much, much cleaner.
