Not sure how 3:08 is Twin Peaks, but the lady makes me think of Joanna Lumley's character from Ab Fab
2023 still revisiting this ❤
I like it
The movie 187 would not have been the same without this song.

My respect for you ... forgive me please tell me what instrument plays in this clip is like a brass ... I really liked it.
YES,not soo relaxed!😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fallen Angels by Wong Kar Wai 👏👏👏
Been a fan since 2009 and the song are still in my ears when I wake up
I'm sure that's County hall..
"I am a dangerous man....all those guys I killed, nothing personal" a sample from Adam Curtis documentary?
1:08 is this mongolian throat singing ?
I'm really confused. This is Overcome by Tricky but it's not?
ily
Ily too
To get more confused check: Hell is round the corner by Tricky and Glory Box by Portishead...
I actually saw that before I saw this and was confused by that too!
Tricky worked a lot with Massive Attack. And Massive Attack worked with Portishead. Tricky started a solo career as a rapper and he uses some beats by them.
2024....30 years of perfection
Oh yes!
😊😊😊😊
I always thought this was the most relaxing chill song ever. then I saw the video.
the motive is probably taken from the shining stanley kubrick's movie, great movie :)
+Kamil Bryant stanley kubrick, tarantino ,david lynch

+wedalkalem yesssss
Then hear and watch their song 'Angel'
90’s were the golden era of alternative and electronic music
Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and Moby released their best albums at that time
The melting pot decade of genres and musical innovation. So glorious
This is seriously blowing my mind that this came out in 1994. This is easily 10 years ahead of its time if not more
imo its pretty timeless too
90s were the Golden Age for music-
trip hop & grunge
It's easily 30 years ahead of its time. I thought it was fresh.
He looks like Ed Norton and Damon Albarn mixed together.. One of my favorite songs and music vids.
Damon Norton
@AmosAlofSteel damon, the demon - serial killer edition. I hope they got their golden clothes.
Facts. Proved his point🐐
@@elementofrandomthought4492 damon, the demon, serialKillerEdition, I must be crazy, you must be lazy...
So many shout out's: From Kubrick, to the Coen Brothers, to Lynch.
Fantastic work Glazer.
Total timeless classic.
Love Massive Attack and other electronic and trip hop acts like
Portishead, Tricky, Unkle, Sneaker Pimps, Atoms For Peace, Allflaws
I haven't thought of Atoms for Peace in years! Thanks for the reminder
Love tricky !
Don't forget Morcheeba, Zero 7, Thievery Corporation, and DJ Shadow.
Björk aswell
Bjork is my lady..
Probably one of the most influential track of my entire life...remembering in the 90s listening to that and smoking joint..literally brings you in another level..perception of what is going on around you, good or bad thoughts is totally lost...
Karmacoma:
Karma = idea that every action has value and that affects your future, therefore implying that there is indeed good and bad in the world
Coma = a state of mind where human is oblivious to its surroundings and events
Karmacoma = Human who has no conception of right or wrong, good and evil. - kind of blissful nihilism
wibe1n I’m amazed ! Such a magic meaning
Republican Senator Ted Cruz to NIN: “Can I get on the guest list?” NIN: “F**k off.”
Banksy...talent....xxx
Evil doesn't exist; Only perspective.
Sure Mike, keep that perspective in mind when someone decides to, just because they can, kick or stab you or one of your loved ones on the street. Oh wait, you might not be able to interpretate that situation anymore....
2024 June. Who survived?
Made it to the end of July!!!!!
Yeh man August now. Had this booming in '95/'96ish. Good times. 22 and raging back then. Anyway, I made it.
I had almost forgotten this track
Really super cool😊😎
Wasn't this directed by Jonathan Glazer?
Timeless. Not only is this an amazing song but the surreal video is one of my favourites, I love its psychological aspects. Class!
Have a look at 'CoronaComa' by 'Sly Toe Hand' I think you may like it.
@@jennyfarside6832 Cheers! I've made a note to look out for that track as I just couldn't find it in initial google/discog searches
0:12 Manson 1:00 The shining 1:19 Erazerhead 1:30 Pulp Fiction 3:08 Twin Peaks
Barton Fink, not Eraserhead
Pretty sure that American Horror Story based it's entire Hotel story arc on this video.

@@trumpsb757sucks5 It was 1994 actually. I remember it like it was yesterday. Was completely blown away by that sound. Then Tricky released his "Maxinquaye" a year later... What can I tell you, it was a good decade for music.
Why does the description say this was directed by Michael Gondry? It was directed by Jonathan Glazer.
Fallen Angels anyone?
I'm pretty sure my Karma is in a coma :|
I
My coma is my karma.
Every single song of Massive Attack is amazing
Fallen Angels fans where?
Yes! never gave this song/album a chanse to listen to until that movie actually.
This video is the alternative to drugs. play it twice and trice you will feel nice.
thats right 🙊
no this video is for drugs
Agree but for the fucking herbal essences shampoo ad
Bold Bandit enig med dig
Nice and slow drugs and is for free
This video could be a tribute to David Lynch... brilliant tho!!!
I was thinking the same exact thing, both Kubrick and Lynch. Most Massive Attack videos I have seen have artistic filmmaking/great cinematography etc.
It could almost be Twin Peaks 2017. LMFAO.
stfu you peasant. hands off my TP2017.
I love the mini TwinPeaks/MassiveAttack fanbase we got going here
Tarantino too!
Being teenager and after this song came I became comfortable with myself being weird , awkward , paranoid ... it just clicked with me. Started enjoying all aspects of my own craziness and delusions with precise distinction what is real and what is not.
Sure your Grandad felt he same when he first heard Eddy Cochrane singing 'Something Else'.. I.e. Don't kid yourself, whatever your felt/have felt, millions of others have been there before you , you're not special, none of us are.

13 or 14 maybe? First summer I smoked pot and I remember just sitting outside this cafe with my cousin and her friends, who were all 18+, listening to this and feeling fucking cool as fuck. Told a joke or two, got those gods to laugh at them. Best summer..
I am moderately enamored with you, just thought I'd let you know that.
Yep. About 16 Started listening to Massive Attack and Portishead and getting other people hooked made me feel cool.

"Four rooms" its not "from" Tarantino, he only directs the 4th room part ;) Each room have a different director :P
@Madonna is in one of them

You sure you want to be with me
I've nothing to give
Won't lie and say this love is best
Leave us in emotional peace

I see you digging a hole

Your troubles must be seen to see through money

Jonathan Glazer is a genious, what he did in this video is bonkers and it captures song mood with Tricky perfectly, hats off SIR!
I wonder if he did anything else after "Treat Me Like Your Mother" by The Dead Weather in 2009?
Pretty sure this is what David Lynch sees during a feverish, Ambien-fueled dream.
I thought he would probably see Roseanne.

Why is this song sooo good and simple in the same time. I think what make the song so good is the bass, the 3d's voice or something....
They each have amazing voices, as does Tricky. It just goes so well with the darker music.
