As a German this seems surreal to me. They have to do something about it immediately. We have the "Rettungsgasse", but i doubt that will help in a stuffed town like NY
Solution: Where I live, all major intersections to the scene are controlled traffic lights. When an incident is active all lights go green for the FD, EMS, PD. Side roads go red and a blue light strobes or rotates to let drivers know emergency vehicles are coming. Federal signal corp should include Ludicris's song "MOVE BITCH, GET OUT THE WAY, GET OUT THE WAY BITCH, GET OUT THE WAY BITCH, MOVE BITCH GET OUT THE WAY" into their siren option with the rumbler. Or include the "BROWN NOTE", and make them all shit themselves! HAHAHAHAHA.
Most people who live in Manhattan (which is where Rockefeller Center is located) don't own cars, they either take the train, uber it, or walk it. It's actually quite normal for New Yorkers not to have a driver's license. Most of the cars you see here are Ubers, taxis and livery cabs. It's people from the outer boroughs of NYC who drive into Manhattan which, I being from Brooklyn baffles me why anyone would want to drive through the heart of mid-town Manhattan.
I will say the stupidest thing about NYPD cars is the put "MOVE OVER ITS THE LAW" on the back of the light bar for people they just passed to see and enjoy. If you're going to place it put it on the front so people that actually need to move can see it
I agree with the Officer who is trying to get through to reach the emergency location. You can't block the right side of the road like you own the street.

There should be a law that says people have to make way for emergency cars and first responders. They should also teach that in driving school. I know, it sounds crazy and otherworldly, but maybe it would help...? No...?
I wonder if a car pulled out into the traffic at the intersection and caused an accident , would that person be at fault and given a ticket? After all the police order the cars to clear a path!

The thing is, you wouldn’t say that if your family member was in need in serious help of medical help or police response you’d want them there asap
Bloody hell, the whole of London will be like this soon once the new residential and office tower blocks finish construction, and with the remaining permits completed.
As a German this seems surreal to me. They have to do something about it immediately. We have the "Rettungsgasse", but i doubt that will help in a stuffed town like NY
That poor, poor cop.
The NyPd police cars need an upgrade. They must get a strobe opticom traffic light controller.
Next time, ask Spiderman, he won't be stuck in traffic!
HAHAHAHAHA.
Couldn't they, like, drive on the sidewalk? Cuz that seems quicker even while avoiding hitting pedestrian
Is it a vaccum cleaner stucked inside the siren ?
2:45
Best part with siren
So what about the CONED truck actually blcking not one but two lanes ?
What a nightmare it would be to have to live in that city.
Honestly they Would respond faster by foot or bike
I will say the stupidest thing about NYPD cars is the put "MOVE OVER ITS THE LAW" on the back of the light bar for people they just passed to see and enjoy. If you're going to place it put it on the front so people that actually need to move can see it
I think the cops would be faster by walking because they stuck in traffic.
Wow! I need to stop my complaining about Downtown Los Angeles traffic. It is nothing compared to what the NYPD and FDNY has to deal with.
Why did the taxi try to overtake the emergency vehicles?
I agree with the Officer who is trying to get through to reach the emergency location. You can't block the right side of the road like you own the street.
why people dont move out of the way???
In a NO STANDING zone no less.
it would have been faster if the cop was on foot💀💀
As someone who works EMS in the 5 Buroughs....I hate people who don't follow traffic laws.... there is a damn emergency and we can never get through because people don't care... but wait let it be them in need of assistance and upon our arrival they are wondering what took so lo ng. ... your fellow New Yorkers are what took so long...
Those sirens with that weird hum make me stomach hurt
Wow it’s just like in gta 4 when multiple cars of the same model would spawn together.
There should be a law that says people have to make way for emergency cars and first responders. They should also teach that in driving school. I know, it sounds crazy and otherworldly, but maybe it would help...? No...?
Where is spiderman when there is so much traffic?
he was not feeling so good
It's not a city. It's a state of mind.
I dont get it. She said she cant get through because everyone wznts to park on the right. Were those cars legally allowed to park there?
Police should use bikes in nyc as it would be easier to filter through traffic
What camera was used to film this video?
GoPro HERO5 Black
Whelen Howler or Feniex Hammer?
Federal signal smart siren and rumbler
There are so many jobs I would never want. Trying to get anywhere in NYC even with sirens seems like just WTF NOT HAPPENING.
Reminds me of when I went to NYC in the winter, nobody gave a flying fuck if a cop couldn't move lol
NYPD should use bicycles on peak hours😂
This guy is good with the camera
Sounds like her Coffee was getting cold on the way to pick it up, lol.
I wonder if a car pulled out into the traffic at the intersection and caused an accident , would that person be at fault and given a ticket? After all the police order the cars to clear a path!
