I have been thinking a lot about those days when we would tune in to the Christmas Specials. Dean Martin, Andy Williams, Bob Hope. There were others but I can't think of them right now. I miss those GOOD OLD DAYS !!!!!!!
My Mom used to tear up at the line, “Someday soon we all will be together if the fates allow….” I used to wonder how a simple line like that would make a strong Mom of 7 kids cry; now I know. Miss you Mom and thanks for playing us these great Christmas tunes growing up.
NOBODY CAN PERFORM A CHRISTMAS SONG WITH A HUMAN HEART SOUL STYLE LIKE FRANK. HE NAILS IT. CANT DO CHRISTMAS WITHOUT OLE BLUE EYES. THANKS, MR SINATRA.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas Let your heart be light Next year all our troubles will be out of sight Have yourself a merry little Christmas Make the Yuletide gay Next year all our troubles will be miles away Once again, as in olden days Happy golden days of yore Faithful friends who are dear to us Will be near to us once more Someday soon, we all will be together If the fates allow Until then, we'll have to muddle through somehow So have yourself a merry little Christmas now

Funny that he screwed up the lyrics. Supposed to be, "Faithful friends who are DEAR to us will be NEAR to us once more." But like the pro he was, he didn't let it bother him. Most people probably didn't notice.
Well, Frank lost his voice back in the early to mid 1950s, and never got it back. This is a guy whose voice drove women crazy, so rich, so vibrant. He never would have cut off the last notes in a phrase the way he does here. He would have held them, languished in them, burnished them. But the chords to do that, by this time in 1967, had been gone more than a decade. Towards the end, when he is sitting down, you can see how hard he is working before he begins each phrase, as if it takes a LOT of effort. In his heyday, singing was effortless for Frank Sinatra. If and when he DID make an effort it was to use his exceptional pipes to make incredible sounds. Oh well...
One of my favourite Christmas songs of all time and especially from Frank Sinatra. No one else can beat him.

Eh, Frank was a bit too cool for Christmas. He was more the New Year's Eve kinda guy.
J’adore ❤
Who else loved these family holiday specials?
These entertainers were just that: entertaining. They didn't need millions in technological wonders to back them as they had real talent.

He was singing live,....quite brilliantly
I was gonna say what version is this because I’m smoking frank if this was the bar;
Frank Sinatra is so creepy.
Why do you say that?
He is GOD'S favorite.
