- In this 3Ds Max Tutorial we're using Chaos Phoenix, Vray, Cosmos, and tyFlow's fluid force to create a flow of particles. This tutorial is another from my new series sponsored by Autodesk.

Yesssssss!!! I've waited for something like this. You don't know it but you just saved a project I took on. 💪💪💪💪
Excellent work. Thank you!
This was a great tutorial! More like this! :)
Thank you for another great tutorial
You are the best mentor !
amazing tuts thank u so much
Dude..
Thanks.This is a great tutorial.
the 3d community is Happy
Thanks Jesse!
Awesome!
Great video as always. Can you do a series on vray material tricks like vray switch and vray blendmtl, plus a lot of unheard max features like wire parameters , max script etc
you renew 3Dmax!! keep going~~~
Bro you are totally awesome, thanks alot for the great tuts ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
thank you
I saw your teaching while working overtime again. It should be morning in your city. Good morning! Jesse😀
I'm based in Prague now, it's 4pm here. I usually upload these around 3pm. But it is morning in LA. :)
@@RedefineFX how come you moved to prague if you don't mind me asking?
Very very long story, ultimately family
Like before seeing the video 👌
Thanks for the videos as always. I've spent quite a few bucks on your tutorial series. I'm waiting for your next one. How about a deep dive into Vray materials?
Thank you, I’m working on the next one! A Vray course is a possibility but probably gonna stay in the particles/VFX world a bit longer.
@@RedefineFX I don't know if it's possible on the platform you're using for the tutorials, but it would be a nice touch to have some type of forum type message system at the bottom of each lesson if people have questions or problems with specific things. Everyone enrolled can help one another and you can come in and answer questions bi-weekly or whatever. Maybe keep direct message support from you limited to 6 months so you're not obligated to help people for 5 years.
Hi Jesse! Thank you for another great tutorial. As always you are on point and easy to understand.
I only have two questions:
1. Why did you use DoF in camera and not in post? Is there any advantage of working that way?
2. Why do you still keep clicking in the menus for Vray lights, plane, camera,... when you have V-ray toolbar on the left? Just one click and you're done.
Thanks! 1) I’ve covered how to use zdepth to generate depth of field in post before, so this is just another approach 2) Good point, the honest truth is that many of the Vray toolbar icons look similar and I rarely use it for anything other than cosmos & the materials lib 😁
Thumb up for these clever free pro tricks! (like always)
Thank you for your very good tutorials on TyFlow.
I have looked through many of your videos and I'm very grateful for everything you share with us.
I wonder if's possible to make an object ( a logo in this case) like a Pinata. Would it be better to generate the pinata '' paper'' with particles through Tyflow
or is it better to create pinata paper as geometry in Max?
Thanks again
If you want the little papers to collide with each other you need tyFlow. It will look much better too.
@@RedefineFX Thanks, but it is better to model all the paper bits with a scattering tool and then turn them in to a cloth in tyflow….. or
Create the paper bits in tyflow?
Thanks
Hi, Do you have a tutorial of atmospheric entry when spaceship goes through an atmosphere and gets hot. THnaks
I do not
@@RedefineFX Please make one if you can. Thank you!
Your version looks more original than original.
Can anyone get Quixel bridge to work with 3ds max 2023?
There’s a little paid script on gumroad that makes the whole process much easier. Not sure the name but just search. Otherwise it’s a total nightmare.
@@RedefineFX they just had an update to the plugin. I haven't tried it yet, but thanks for the heads-up on the gumroad script. It seemed flakey in '22 with some models showing up with no geometry or missing/messed up materials.
You'r the best
