    I like how on the box that fat guy is laughing at that kid falling into that toxic waste.

      As in the commercial for the toy, that fat guy fell into the toxic waste.

    Captain Planet and the Planeteers were some of my favourite toys as a kid, they still are!Loved the cartoon series and the message it sent out to children to look after our planet and it's environment. Thanks for this awesome review Dan!

    Awesome video. I never had this toy but I saw it for sale when I was a kid and it made a big impression. It's great to finally see it in action. Thanks for making this.

    I had this toy as a kid. What I used to do was one of 2 things once I ran out of the packets. 1. Use another brand of slime (TMNT, Gak etx) 2. Green Jello mix and water to have a more instant effect. Hope that helps!

    when i was a kid my favorite slime toy was included in the 90's Spiderman Daily Bugle street set and one of the side pieces was Venom"s hideout that had a water tower that dripped slime all over the place, i played the hell out of that XD

    The original sludge tabs probably didn't work at all when it first came out but they still sold it to kids anyway.

    Couldn't you just put the powder block in a blender to break it back up or is it like solid igneous rock hard?

    Assuming it wouldn't harm the toys, I wonder if you could get a fun effect with baking soda mixing into vinegar.

    I love CP !!!!!!!!!!!! :D
    You could try it with water and some powder sugar. So you can see the effect a bit ;).
    How it will fall down.
    Btw... that is Duke Nukem you have right there.. his name is not Toxico :P ;) haha.

    • @Wright805
      @Wright805 8 років тому +3

      +missstarbuck Beg your pardon but I'm sure he knows that. "Toxico" is written on the front door of the playset. The premise is that "Toxico" is a company and the trap is disguised as the entrance to the company building.

    Do you have the T2 Terminator factory? that one also uses a powder substance to create the "skin" on the exoskeleton

    I know this video came out forever ago but try smashing the tablet of powder with a hammer after a little bit it will be like sand and it will work good as new although it has a 0.02% of not working

  • @SmokeForPants

    You should be able to stick those tabs in a coffee grinder to turn them back into powder... a coffee grinder you never, ever intend to use again.

    Back in 2020 After this review I actually bought this on EBay where I get most of my stuff. Cause I can't drive or go anywhere. Handicap. But I did buy some captain planet action figures I got 3 out of 5 kids. Wheeler & the 2 girls. 2 Different Captain Planet & some bad guys. & I bought this. This was Opened but brand new in box. I still have the tablets I never ever used them. I Saw Bert the storm tropper use some snow stuff instead to make that work. I saw his after yours. I just use regular slime. I don't think they make that silly sludge slime any more I see around.

    • @Alexx1083
      @Alexx1083 8 років тому

      +Oustinswagner I'd be surprised if they didn't. They had slime-powered EVERYTHING. I think just about every figure could be used with slime in some way, couldn't they? I can only remember a few, and some crazy vehicle I had that was supposed to use slime in some way.

    To think, how much pollution was produced in the making of this play-set in the Chinese factory it was made in? Mmm... Ya feeling that environmental message? Kind of counter-productive, don't ya think?

    • @deathfox1193
      @deathfox1193 9 років тому

      +LocustDrone25 I'm talking about the production and assembly of the actual plastic play set. Like, this was totally made in some sweat-shop

    • @lofirecordclub
      @lofirecordclub 8 років тому +2

      +LocustDrone25 Every Captain Planet toy product had to be produced using a certain percentage of recycled materials (as much as was possible in the 90s...) and pay an offset which went to funding the Captain planet Foundation which has been giving grants since 1991 to environmental projects... so... in the scheme of things pretty good
