Mission Statement:
In 1991, Wizard Magazine launched and with it the support of new publishers such as Valiant and Image grew. Wizard Magazine was a new type of magazine for all geek culture. They focused not just on comics, but on toys, on interviewing creators, on movies, trading cards, games, books, tv shows and alot more. In March 2011, Wizard collapsed. They tried to relaunch as an online geek culture magazine but ultimately failed and continued strictly with conventions.
Why Wizard magazine failed is because at the time of their drastic decline, people began going to youtube and comicbookmovie.com for everything they recieved from the publisher. It was free and they could interact with the community. With Comicbookmovie.com anyone could create an article and share it with the community and if it was well recieved it got front page status. It's very similar with youtube. Only rather than creating an article, creators launch video channels. Most channels revolve around 1 thing and 1 thing only. Today there are hundreds of channels in the geek culture niche which focus on either comic books or movie reviews or toy reviews or tv show reviews or funko pops or interviews or fantasy battles.
However, none of these channels bring all of those things together like Wizard magazine did Successfully for almost 20 years. This is where Comicgeddon TV breaks away from the crowd. We are a small youtube channel with big ideas. From the very beginning, I dreamed of making Comicgeddon an evolved form of Wizard Magazine. I wanted to appeal to the youtube generation.
Comicgeddon TV, brings something to the community that was lost when Wizard Magazine became an exclusive convention promoter. And even now, Conventions are occurring to often they're losing attendance. But Comicgeddon TV is there to fill the gap.
We focus on Dramatically narrating comic books panel by panel in a similar manner as Comicstorian.
We focus on bringing to you the history of lesser known characters and publishers similar to Comics Explained.
We focus on bringing you Toy and Funko Pop Reviews in the same manner as The Review Spot.
We focus on comic book reviews in the same manner as Caped Joel.
We Focus on TV show and Movie Reviews similar to Jeremy Jahns or Chris Stuckmann.
We focus on Horror like Hermie and StitchedTogetherPics.
While we are similar to these channels, we are also very different. We bring all of this Geek Culture Greatness into one place. Because the same people who subscribe to comic book youtube channels also subscrive to toy review channels and movie review channels and horror review channels and so on. We focus on less popular comic book publishers. We bring our own unique thoughts to the table and don't do the same reviews as everyone else. Where alot of people may widely hate a movie or comic we may bring a different point of view to the table.
We hope to not only build our audience but also our team of creators. When we say that Comicgeddon TV is where All Geek Culture Collides, we mean it. Feel free to contact us to join our team and bring quality content to the youtube community or Subscribe to our channel and stay up to date on all things geek culture. Like to see Joey Dedio and Kath Soucie planning to get married just like in the cartoon series of Captain Planet in real life. Their name are Wheeler and Linka respectively. Janice (Gi) Kawaye will be invited to the wedding as well.

It’s too bad that we never got to see a live action movie for Captain Planet, Freakazoid(Dexter Douglas),Magic School Bus, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon adventures,Swat Cats and Gargoyles. Would love to see those cartoons turn into live action movies, but I want them to do it right and not make it like the Michael Bay movies.

Even though I wasn't born in the nineties I was born in 2003 and I loved cartoons and superheroes because my dad got me into every cartoon when I was younger and I love the Flintstones and The Munsters Beyblade G Revolution and I also love X-Man as well.
I really would love to see those cartoons again like captain planet, karate kid.

I like the background music from the 1st 3 seasons of Captain Planet and the Planeteers, because it's enjoyable. Most of the music was recycled or transfered from G.I. Joe (DiC series), Captain N: The Game Master, and later reused on other DiC-produced shows such as Hurricanes and Double Dragon.

Honestly, i think this show probably would of stood a chance if it wasn't so preachy, and was better written. Oh well, at the very least captain planet got to make a good cameo in ok ko lets be heros.
It got six seasons which is *pretty dang good* especially for back then.
Duke nukem I wonder how they weren't sued by the guys who created the game Duke nukem
Because the 'Captain Planet and the Planeteers' Duke Nukem character (1990) came out one year before the first appearance of the Duke Nukem video game character.
I had no idea that the Duke Nukem series of games was that old (1991 according to Wikipedia).
It depends. First, did Turner Broadcasting trademark the name Duke Nukem in 1990? If they didn't, they can't even begin to sue 3D Realms. Second, although the characters share the same name, they are presented in different mediums (cartoon vs computer game), and generally names and titles can be the same so long as they don't intrude on the medium that the original name and title was first presented in AND show no resemblance to the characters or content.
In other words, the two characters of Duke Nukem are in different mediums AND they are nothing alike. The only similarity they share is that they're humanoid which isn't enough to base a lawsuit on. This is important because one of the primary reasons to sue for infringement is that the public will confuse the characters, and unless someone was so dumb and/or unobservant to the point where they could barely function as a human being, there would be no way anyone could ever get the two characters confused with one another.

No... he was created as an independent hero for Turner.
No, although Marvel did have a short-lived Captain Planet comic book series, but that existed outside the continuity of the show and was never considered canonical. At best, it could be thought of as a slightly different alternate reality.
The Heart power was stupid and still is stupid.
I agree, especially since that power could've been interesting had the writers done something with it, but they were writing a cartoon designed for kids that had to abide by child-friendly regulations. That alone neutered the Planeteers.
The Heart power could in fact influence people's minds and alter the way they think, apart from telepathy.
In the wrong hands, it can allow the user to mind-control an entire town. That was why it had to be given to a very meek person like Mati.
Any other person, even a "good guy", could easily abuse it.
