nice work, I'm soon to be tackling something similar here in the UK, only difference is the steering wheel is on the right hand side, I like the height you have standing the body up on tressles like that, I'm gonna copy that, I'm leaving the floor pan on while I renew inner body patches, then seperating the two when it comes time to do floor panels, suspension, master brake cylinder, ....if fact everything on the chassis with total access. keep em coming you're an inspiration.
Great to hear an thank you for the compliment! I would say the height of the sawhorses were perfect. Good luck. Having them separated was key for sure because everything needed attention. Thanks for watching and comment!E-🦸♂️
you're working in a tent in below freezing temps and I don't want to push mine out of the garage because it's not above 50 and sunny :) I've turned into a marshmallow!!!!
@@EmanDeluxeVLOGS I managed to get my ass moving. I repaired the bottom of the drivers door and removed the dreaded foam from the left pillar. My goal is to get it blasted and epoxied before we have to go back to work. Keep up the good work!!!!
I spent a year of my life doin' a '71 Beetle. But my 'reward' has given me 15 years of absolute pleasure after complete restoration. Worth the pain. Don't forget to inject wax on all Inner Channels for long life. Best wishes from Australia.
Wow what a wonderful comment. I completely understand what you mean. This project has been such a huge part of life this past year. Such a motivator. I welcome you to subscribe and follow along for the journey. Thanks for watching coming together very soon. It's going to be a great marriage!
You are doing some nice work! Interesting to watch. I have a 66 and a 71 super. will need to patch the pans in 71 when weather gets better. Keep up the great videos.
Hello! Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy picking up the 📷 when i feel necessary. Try to not drag on the clips to keep interesting. I am braving the elements to keep on this goal i set for myself. Thanks for 👀
You have a taking cat? I'm pretty sure he should have a you tube channel!!! Another great video man! You have an awesome slice of land up there. The outdoor garage is rocking. Love the fire and the snow falling! Nice work on the heater channels!
your doing great, nothin like getting into a project and time flies by, do you get up and walk back out with a coffee to admire the work, its a great feeling,
Thanks so much! I normally walk out and admire In the evening before bed... My goal of getting it on the road this season should go as planned... The video you did with brians 64 was helpful when i needed to figure out the measurement from rain gutter to heater channel. I referred back to it. So thanks for everything mustie1...
Catching up here. Great work and sweet project. I'd love to have some chickens but no room! Good luck with the project. I'm looking forward to watching.
Right on man. I i have to check you out as well. Thanks for stoping by. I just got onto this filming thing a few years ago love doing it and getting feedback. Thanks
@@EmanDeluxeVLOGS I totally get it. I have a 65 vw bug, I am replacing the heater channels, front inner fenders, front clip, front fire wall, both quarter panel rears, floor pans, and both bumper bracket sides. lol
I may have to bounce a few questions off you here soon. I have a 66 I'm just about to put the floors in. But I will be tackling the the heater channels next. Another reason I got my Beetle was I wanted to learn to weld. Thanks for the video's. Hope to see the car on the road here in CT. Great work so far!
Was a personal goal of mine to learn and put this jem back on the road in a year and made it happen, under some challenges. Now we are loving having her as a part of the family!
Lol.... you can't have it it's all I got at the moment and it ain't much, I swear one of these days the winter wind is going to rip it wide open. But when it does happen, that must mean it's time for the body to go back on. Thanks for watching
I use pallets to build one of the walls on my chicken worked out pretty well. But for the outdoor garage. It's worked pretty well so far. Those walls might be coming down soon anyway once it gets warm
Oh yeah.... Big nut getting drivers side where i was happy with it.. Helped having the video of yours with mustie1 to have a reference as to the measurement of rain gutter to heater channel. So big thanks to you both!
Eman. The frost bite come from years of being outside!!!! wet gloves or holding on to cold steel. A little bit of that over thirty two years of working on the Railroad!!! GOT ME .... Was outside today working about 20min!!!!!!!! AM North of Hartford Ct glovers were a little wet two fingers started to talk to me. Not good!!!!!!!!!!! Be careful of your hands,,,,,, if they get cold stop!!!!!! warm them up. ITS JUST A FYI ABOUT LIFE...As for the car slow and steady just like the Tuttle that won the race. Hey how close are you to the valley railroad tracks????? Can hear the steam engine in some of your summer videos!!!!!!!!! COOL""""""""" A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T CATCH THAT!!!!!!!!!! AT ALL..... ONCE A RAIL ALWAYS A RAIL TAKE CARE JUNKMANDO
I love that you mentioned the essex steam train, it's right through the woods I can see it this time of year with no leaves. Carrying tons of happy familys for xmas. Love it here. Its my home town in deep river. I know what you're saying about the cold, I'm a commercial electrician so we have our share as well but not as much as you. I live by that Mantra as well slow and steady wins the race
The heater channels that were in my car when I started where original and in very bad shape oh, I ended up starting with the passenger side which was not as bad as the driver side. I physically took it apart wherever it was attached to the firewall, A and B pillar. The rear wheelhouse up against the heater channel was a little tricky but when all those other points a line you can kind of figure out the rest. The one thing I was obsessed with was making sure my door was closing properly. I hope it's all good. But you can only worry about it so much. It's one of those things where you keep working on it until you're happy
No real measurements are friends just watching other UA-camrs do the same. Mustie1 helped VW nut with his recently and there's some useful information in there as well
E-man you will sleep good tonight that door lined up well shut nice and solid, the rest is just clean up and fill in work. Your getting our cold weather Suday -2 temps with a -25 wind chill stay inside watch some video's on you tube and a little football. Junkman do, your comment this morning put a great big smile on my face. Yes it was a great day yesterday to be outside unfortunately for my project I had some family responsibilities, otherwise had a great day. Also changing job sites this morning adding an extra half hour to my commute. I plan to get back out there right after work today. Thanks for the laugh I'll put another video together asap for you
