This song is my favorite performance on the Liza's Back cd and I love it also when she went up on that final Have and really belts it,,,she's amazing!!
Am watching this again for the gazillionth time. So captivating... to watch her is to bear witness to a master class in the art of performance. Here she is so still and it's thrilling...and the orchestrations are perfection!

Incredible!!! I've been a lifelong fan (born 71) I saw her show at a casino near Toronto in 2000 something and it was absolutely mesmerizing. Her voice shows years of hard work and some casualty on the way but her charisma is utterly enthralling. A true superstar.
She can't stay on pitch.
Omg jared i love you for putting this up.....she usually sings this song and plays it safe at the end...but i remember this version....second to last note.. "i dont....HAVE... now"....she goes up on "HAVE" And i like that so much better than when she just sings under....awesome!

I stumbled across the soundboard recordings from the two nights that the Liza’s Back album was culled from; I have to say that it’s overlooked at how good her voice was at this point of her career.

This is great! Thank you! I love when Liza added this to her repertoire and she pulls it off her more spectacularly than any version I've seen/heard. I left Manhattan in 2000 and missing this show was one of my greater regrets. My friends told me it was transplendent. I have the album and was fortunate to see her sing this in "Minnelli on Minnelli, but this confirms it for me. I love the Beacon Theatre as venue. Why did I leave New York?
