Hey mate, just wanted to say I genuinely appreciate you still making videos for us. We all know you don't like Mario Kart 8, and yet you make long videos like this to entertain us while not getting many views. That is what you dedication. Really hope one day you're able to turn things around and make videos you're proud of and enjoy making while still getting them seen.
Thank you for this comment. And yes to clarify, I’ve only ever done UA-cam to entertain people and express my passion of making videos. Even if my views drop low, I’m glad I have people like you around to appreciate my content. Sometimes after everything I went through, it’s tough to keep going, but when I see comments like this, it’s inspiring to me. To know my content makes someone’s day better. And yes even though I do prefer other Mario Karts to Mario Kart 8, I’ve been able to make it better for myself by creating fun challenges around it, so even though it’s no MKWii, I’ve been able to have fun with it and grow a *bit* to it.

Took a few days, but I finally made it to the end. I watched this video in chunks since I didn't have 4 hours to spare these last few days. I've been watching your videos since 2020, they helped get me through some rough times knowing that I had something to look forward to. I was upset when you went away for a year, but I'm glad you're back and making the best of it. Can't wait to see how this challenge pans out.

In tournaments, the player with the crown has the most points
It doesn’t matter if they got 2nd or last in the previous race
They will still have the crown if they have the most points

Just to clarify, the reason why Bootyeater (the Black Birdo player) still had the crown despite not getting 1st in the race was because she had the most points in this lobby in the tournament
The reason DK Pass have a special item box that always give a star. (Or more specifcally, a star, mushroom, triple mushroom or red shell). While not officially confirmed, is likely because it's a leftover from Mission 4-1 where the item boxes act that way that the devs forgot to remove.
That said, they did keep this behavior in Mario Kart 7, so it MAY have a chance to retain that behavior even if it was ported here. ^^
My prediction is that Mario Kart Stadium will be the first track that will get out
I want Shy Guy Falls to be last. However, my prediction must be Dolphin Shoals.

My prediction is that Electrodome will be the last one standing.
Here's an idea for a track elimination: play an X hour session (3?), and the track that's repeated the most is eliminated. Alternatively, the first track to be repeated. (Of those that haven't been eliminated by that point, anyway. Probably a better idea if done early on.)
Edit: Repeated eligible tracks only (eliminated tracks would not count as most repeated). If there's a tie, as in two eligible tracks being repeated 3x in the session, the first one that was repeated should be eliminated. If there's *no* repeats of eligible tracks, default to the first track played in the session.
A player can only get double coins if a) there's item roulette lag (which explains why you couldn't speed up the item roulette at 40:00) or b) they set Custom Items to Coins Only

Peachette is in the same weight class as Yoshi, who dethroned Waluigi as the meta character in Wave 4

2:25:00 in tournament rooms the crown goes on who ever has the most point in the room that’s why they had the crown
Challenge idea: The Hobbit, or There and Back Again. You'll have to place from 1st to 12th, in order, and then back from 12th back to 1st, in reverse order. If you fail the order, you restart. Once you're back again, whichever track your last 1st placement is in gets eliminated.
Also Moonview Highway is the last remaining track.
Also, I'm pretty sure that you can pick whatever track that you want online. But that might be only for friend rooms though. Maybe because you're playing with random players, maybe that's why it's only a choice few. 🙂

22:55 as soon as you used the Crazy 8, the star spawned on Link and he got it instead. Mushrooms you keep if someone "uses" it as they're revolving, stars you lose.
also the answer is pretty obvious. casuals spam shocks. they don't check the map even once.

1:07:45 blue shells have a short time before they appear on your screen radar that they are "locked on" already. I think it's when you can see the blue shell lift off the ground that it is locked on and you can't escape it at that point. You've just gotten unlucky that every time up to this point it has already locked on to you by the time you try to drop back (or the other person passes you as of this particular one).
1st -> U got sniped on Piranha Plant Cove because u were going straight, making it easier to aim at you
2nd -> The eliminated track will probably be Mario Circuit (WiiU)
3rd -> Hopefully Shy Guy Falls pulls it off
4th -> U have to drop before the Blue Shell alert appears on your screen in order to make it go for someone else
2:15:00 I can only imagine that it's easier in code to keep the selector in the same place from race to race rather than resetting it to any specific place.
I hope that Snow Land wins. It's not the best track, but it always makes me happy.
Big Blue and Mushroom Gorge would also be good options.

As a concept, what if you race 10 times and count what characters you race against, then at the end of the tenth race, you eliminate the track named after the most popular character you raced? As an example after you finish ten times you met a total of eight Marios, fifteen Luigis and two toads, so you cross out Luigi's mansion?
