I absolutely love the way this came out, Cool Toy! Thanks so much for all the kind words about the kit, it is a true labor of love for this amazing community and your work really takes this to the next level! That screen looks amazing and Angel’s work is perfect, as usual. So glad you like the kit, all my best 🤘🏻😎🙏🏻
Thank you for letting me check out this amazing kit. I really think you've got a winner on your hands with this, and I believe the community is really going to get behind it.
You hit it outta the park with this build, that uv reactive tape pops hard and the white joysticks (my fav joystick too og street fighter 2 ww ce and hf cab joysticks lol) look super clean, well done.
david is a genious. giving ppl the ability to repurpose trash into a cabinet that coulve been used for what the arcade1up was modded for in the first place, lol. also, i know IL EURO STICKS when i see em. good shit sir.
I thought it was pretty genius, I know there are a lot of folks out there who probably have stacks of old Arcade1Up parts and pieces just sitting around after they got pulled from their cabinets for their modding builds. I think these kits will sell well.
I'M GONNA DO THIS! Just got the MVC Arcade1up for Christmas yesterday and as I'm enjoying the hell out of it, wondering in the back of my mind if I could ever add MVC2 in my game room. This is the way! Thanks for the video!
It’s very cool. Saw his video a few days ago showing it off, plus some tips on shredding an electric guitar. I guess this all comes down to price. 89 bucks would be a nice value if shipping is reasonable. The quality is clearly there!
I’ll definitely be buying his kit, saw his video last week. It’s perfect for when you run out of room with your cabs and you can simply make your old cabs into bartops. Favorite character is Venom, but for the game I destroy with Sentinel.
This is EXACTLY what I've been wanting. The bat joysticks are great as well because most are the ball. If you're old school (I'm 44 lol) you grew up with the bat joystick. In Street fighter Mortal kombat whatever. I cant recall ONE fighting game that I ever played in the old school arcades (daily mind you) that had ball controllers. I want this very set up! Im an old school fighter. Only thing I think I'd want is the original concave Street fighter buttons. Those buttons in my experience are in no better words, slappy?
Have you tried the aluminum battops? For me, there's no going back afterward. Sanwa's quiet buttons are really nice, too. Sanwa makes some nice shit. I'm 44 as well & grew up playing fighting games on battop-equipped arcades in the U.S.A.
This is a great kit and I am about to put up a video up as well, you beat me to it....had to wait on graphics. Great video for David. You did a great review as well.
@@cooltoy If you had a messenger I could show you but since I had extra space invaders Extras I went with that graphics and my custom made cp space invaders graphics. I appreciate the quick response from the comment.
Hey Doug. Thanx for the video! Question: If you don't have an Arcade 1up or parts does the Arcade Double up Company supply the parts necessary to buy? And as far as customizing and modding your own bar top arcade can they do some or all of the work for you if you don't want to mess with everything. Like if I wanted to make for example a Rolling Thunder Bar Top themed machine. Do you have to do all the modding yourself or can this company do most or all the work for you? Just curious! Thanx! Cool stuff!
Hi Jason, thanks for checking this video out and asking about the kit. At the moment, we plan on offering this “Leftovers Kit” as well as some Side Items. Starting with a Marquee and a couple of control panel options. We do not plan on a full graphics package, just yet. But are exploring options for this. Our site should be live very soon.
Looks great, man! Love the color combo. I wish there was a way to add different games to the PCBs. I saw an old thread on Reddit detailing the emulators and directory structure, but I don't think anything ever came of it.
No reason to. Get the HDMI out PCB, hook anything you want up to it. Arcade 1up has a business model of selling furniture, they don't want to reduce their furniture sales by making the software easier to update. They're 90% Ikea. The game licenses probably cost them money.
Any info where I can find the flash image your using? I have one now thats fairly decent but some of the Roms dont run at all & missing a few classics.
Just wondering if you have or could make a video on how to and where to get the soft wear to put on the odroid xu4. Id really like to mod my 1up with mvc2 and other great dream cast games and other classics. Thanks
N2 definitely has more power, but I find the additional games it can play vs the XU4 are marginal thus most players would be best served to save the extra cash and just get the XU4
I have a few questions, first it doesn't curupt the SD card powering it on and off like without a safe shutdown? Second does attractmode work on the odroidxu4? And do you have a link for the HDMI splitter?
No issues corrupting my SD card powering it on and off. Attract mode works on the games, all products I used are already linked in the video description box.
Hi i recently bought an arcade1up mod kit for myself and i got it for one reason only, marvel vs capcom 2! But i noticed it doesn’t run as smooth when i do super moves it laggs quite a bit, I believe it has raspberry pi 4, can anyone please help me? Does it have anything to do with the vram limit? Or the screen perhaps is outdated??
COOLTOY ah sorry worded wrong I meant did you drill holes on the diy control panel to keep the happ joystick in place? If you did what screws did you use?
New to arcade1up I’m really trying to get a full size cabinet with the o droid but don’t know anything on how to actually get one and get the games on there if anyone can help it will be appreciated thanks
MobileDecay a bar top kit specifically designed for use with the stock Arcade1Up components. I simply just choose to use other parts for my build as I had already given away most of my stock left over Arcade1Up parts
Who is your favorite Marvel Vs. Capcom franchise character? Let me know in the comments below!
Cable!!!! What about yours brother? @cooltoy
Cable is my favorite as well. I also like Sentinel
@A.Oozco I'm partial to Cyclops, but I'm pretty trash with using him as a character. I just love his classic Jim Lee art style look in the game.
Psylocke is my favorite character I can do a 106 air combo with her.
Magneto all day
Dude how am I just discovering now. Awesome mod! Love the aesthetic.

Great build! Will have to check the kits out because I have a lot of left over parts from builds. Neat idea to use to make some gifts for others.

Wow that is a solid piece! Love the color choices. Great Job! Thanks for the links.
Great cabinet! MvC2 will always be the definition of an amazing fighting game. My best team was Rogue/Psylocke/Spiral.
Ah the Femme Fatales line up, very nice!
This is exactly what I've been wanting to buy for years now! Thanks!

Just the name “Arcade Double-Up” is fantastic.
Great video! Lots of good info and your custom cab is nicely done as well!
Rook's Castle glad you liked it 🙌
Looks great! I really like the baby blue and white.
Thank you very much!

Sentinel is such a beast in the game, I typically get destroyed when he's on the opposing side lol.
It's beautiful! I'd love to make me something like this in the future. MvC2 is my favorite fighting game. Thanks for the inspiration!
thanks, glad you liked it
Really big fan of your videos. You seem to have an awesome space , and some great projects. Another great video. Thanks for sharing

This is absolutely brilliant! I will likely be hitting up David for one. 👍
Please do! You'll love it.
Hard to go back go battop, but amazing kit and setup my friend! Love the part brand choices too.

Any time, I'm always happy to spread the word on all the great stuff going on in the community!
I’m never not impressed by your work
thank you so much!
Great work and love the color choices
Ingenious! I've got a left over SF monitor 👍
thanks for all the details. nice build
No problem 👍
So these are no longer being made.. Any other options like this?
Yeah he did a very short run last year and I missed out. Shame he’s not doing them anymore. Can’t believe there isn’t anything else like it now.
Odroid XU4 is perfect for Dreamcast, Naomi and Atomiswave emulators, but the only cons about the XU4 is that it lacked the bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
I need that......I need that man. I wish I can just buy them.

frank horvath thanks man!
those leftover kits came out really nice...
they should put a Raspberry Pi in there. 🤣
I saw the kit and instantly I heard the team select music in my head hahaha
"gonna take you for a ride...." it's so classic
Nice job, I just recently finished making an arcade machine too. Fun stuff.
Sooooo helpful thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼
Thanks for the video, now I will find a home for the leftover parts

for two persons sitting side by side. Convenience

looking forward to getting one. Brillant idea.
I know right, it's such an awesome concept. I'm sure it will sell well.
It look really good, I like it!!!!!!
Would it be cheaper to do a build from scratch with this or just mod a countertop arcade 1up cab

I wish I knew how to do cool shit like this
I'm interested in doing something like this, how much was this build all together?
Great Mod!! What hdmi to dvi adapter did you use I tried one but the Dell monitor can't read the signal can you give me the link?
I actually used a cheap VGA to HDMI adapter found at walmart.

Nice set up, but you need a better surge protector.
I honestly don't leave my arcades plugged in, so I'm not worried.

any tutorial on how to create a toggle switch for DIY arcade cabinets ??
there are plenty of those types of tutorials already on UA-cam.
