Ojude Oba: Yoruba Heritage | A Short Film

Вставка
  • Опубліковано 6 лип 2023
  • One of my goals for this year was to tell the story of the Yoruba Aunties and Uncles of the Ojude Oba Festival which happens in a town in Ogun State, Nigeria called Ijebu Ode. The Ojude Oba Festival is a renowned cultural celebration that takes place in Ijebu-Ode, a historic city in Nigeria. This is an annual event held to honor the Oba, the traditional ruler of the Ijebu kingdom, and to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people.
Hope you really enjoyed this short but very rich piece about my Yoruba people!I will be posting a much longer video in a couple of days which would be a really informative travel guide for those who want to attend, participate or find out more about the Ojude Oba Festival.

...not true. Yoruba are present in Benin republic, Togo and Ghana. Saying it is a race is pure ignorance of the continent.

💯 Yoruba. This is beautiful, Kindly let people know this Yoruba, Nigeria, we understand you are highlighting Nigeria but let the people see the Cultural diversity and the people so that our culture doesn’t become appropriated by others without credit. Yoruba culture is infectious no doubt, but we don’t want to be obliterated - Aa ni parẹ mọ aye lara o, Asẹ. Excellent work. We can’t wait to see other cultures within Nigeria equally showcased with credit to their originality.
