Dear Connie, leaving things undone as a mom... You just got me there! I too take on too much responsibility for everybody and everything, but slowly I start to shift gear and it is very interesting to see that my family follows willingly along and we all benefit from doing tasks together and share housework. The first steps are taken and it is still work in process but I already feel more appreciated and happier. 😅

Hi Connie: I always enjoy watching your Mindful LIving, Simple Life blog and wondered if you have thought about compiling all of your wisdom teachings of minimalist living, staying mindfully present, downsizing, cooking, creating a minimalist wardrobe, cooking, etc. into a book or even a calendar? There are some gorgeous cinematography that you could possibly select from various blogs and then freeze-framed images to use to illustrate your book. I'm sure your patrons and subscribers would love it! Just a thought. Jenny ❤

Back in the 1960’s and 1970s the television signals went off the air by midnight and you had no choice but to rest from that constant technology input. You had to rest even if you wanted to see more TV shows and news. This allowed people to rest and sleep easily as there was no distractions. Now in 2024 so many find it hard to shut off devices and rest because the brain thinks it is missing out on important information. This is not rue.
    The real riches of life:
    ……………….
    Health
    Time to enjoy good health
    A quiet mind
    Slow mornings
    Ability to walk…talk..think…write
    Rest
    Calm and “boring” days
    Meaningful conversations
    Home cooked meals
    People you love
    People who love you back
    Spending time in nature
    ……….
    1. Emotional Intelligence
    2. Mental balance
    3.Mental Flexibility
    4. Ability to re-invent yourself...keep learning ... ready mindset to adapt to changes

Hey Connie - I desperately need your help...!! I need you to do a video series on how to start over in life. I grew up super poor, with parents who had no idea what they were doing in life, and we didn't live close to any family that could help me learn how to be successful in life. I went to a super small school that did not teach this kind of thing so I didn't get there and because I didn't know what questions I should be asking, I didn't know what I was missing. I wanted so badly to be successful but I didn't even know where to start - I didn't even know how to organize my life in such a way so as to set myself up for success, let alone, how to then design my life. Subsequently, I have gone through life just floundering - always dreaming of being someone someday as well as the dream of one day being successful; yet, I still find myself not knowing where to start or what to do. I am now 49yrs old, never been married, and I just lost my job at the beginning of December 2024 and I'm at my whits end. I'm choosing to look at this as an opportunity to start over again and hopefully create that life for myself that I've always dreamed of but I kid you not... I feel like I need someone to literally start with square one as though I were back in my childhood and someone were teaching me the things I need to know to eventually become a successful adult. I need help with discovery questions so I know what I need to be lookin at in my life and thinking about as well as working on. I also need someone to walk me through how to set good habits, good goals, and how to put processes and systems in place to make sure I'm accomplishing it all. And then I need someone to help me figure out a game plan to bring it all together and truly set myself up for success and make it work. There's sooo many 15 minute videos out there on this topic but they all just seem to ramble and I have yet to find a video, let alone, a series, let alone, a speaker that's been helpful in actually giving me questions to consider and action steps to take. I need someone to start with the baby steps at square one and walk me through it like a life coach would... I think you're the one who could truly make that happen. (I can't afford a life coach and I can't afford to take the Design Your Life classes at Stanford... I need something on UA-cam or at least, something within my currently super small income pretty please!!). HELP!!

@@authenticallytracy3421 - I have taught both the high school and college level and I can tell I'm not the only one. Parents are not teaching these things anymore. Now as a manager and leader in the workforce, I can tell parents don't even know it anymore themselves... Sooooo many people need this!!

Connie as introverts.. how do you navigate loved ones wanting you to be this way and that, wanting you to be something you are not.. I don't want to be selfish, but I also want to journey my own path and not feel forced. Like you say, letting your inner spirit guide you to who you are and what you need to be doing in this life, not what others expectations are.
