I doff my cap to you there, I didn't know a lot of that information, aside from the battle of Preston and about the gas lighting. I've always thought, since moving to Preston, that more should be made of its history.
Born and brought up in Preston lived on Deepdale summer time was the fair in Moor park and the Parachute men from the Barracks next to Deepdale football ground and I remember the Preston Carnival had the best childhood there and we saw the Queen visiting 3 times how I miss my childhood ❤️ 😢 BTW Fascinating insight of Preston city it makes me soo Nostalgic 😢
@BlackwoodMorgan I live in Bolton since I was 13 my family moved there having to start a new school making new friends and being painfully shy as well had to get used to it though
You're very welcome. I think there's a lot to be proud of about Preston. Seeing somewhere everyday, it can be easy to take somewhere for granted, doing these videos has helped me to stop and pay attention to everyday places. Certainly makes me proud to be an adopted Prestonian, Northerner and Brit!
Thank you! I was surprised how much history Preston has, it definitely deserves more recognition as a place. My footage quality wasn't very good with this video, but people seem to like this video the most!
Thank you so much! It's a tiny house, easy to miss for people I guess. Hopefully it'll get its own plaque at least, as one of Preston's oldest listed buildings.
Really interesting video. I'm a Prestonian and always looked at these buildings, wondering what their history were as a kid. The only thing I think you might have missed out on is the old orphanage - pretty sure it's next to HSBC. Apparently it used to be a mental asylum as well. I've always wanted to go inside.
Thanks, I really appreciate that! I had no idea that was there until you told me, not sure how accessible it is these days. If it's on the 28Days Later website it's probably off limits. Looks very interesting though.

Appreciate your use of the term ' escorts' as a concession to the refined sensibilities of some viewers.

I love watching British travel vlogs and videos, this is awesome! So relaxing and laid back, but informative too.
I like to bring knowledge without the headache.
Thank you for making this, makes me feel proud to be a Prestonion 🏆

Fantastic, I really appreciate that, dodgy sound quality and shaky footage aside!

What a shame that it has been burnt down now
Those clumsy pigeons starting fires in large unused buildings that just so happen to have large enough space to be replaced by profitable flats. 😏
Over a thousand views, wow, thank you everyone!
Invest in a microphone sock/cover .....the wind noise spoils the narration
Wonder if Edith Rigby and Simon Rigby were related, hence is love for Preston.
You never know!
