I LOVE the fact that you don't try to make the axe heads shiny! They're beautiful cleaned up like you do. And that 2 component stain/paint is AMAZING!! Absolutely gorgeous!!
for so many videos of restoration on UA-cam, I love your kind of video editing, very human in showing your quirks, but also only putting essential amount of each task and cutting at points where it makes the video interesting and engaging!
Truly AWESOME fit and finish EXCELLENT WORK absolutely love use of new and old tools and methods PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!!! And English is getting GREAT!!!!!!!
Buy a table? With your skill you should definitely build one. This way it's got everything you want and need, just a thought, excellent work on the ax looks great
Great job, love the way it looks, that stamp is interesting. Try putting a ball of clay or putty into it, smash it into the stamp, then carefully remove to see if you get a better idea of what it is or says.
Actually, that could be a good video I've known partical and press boards, though awesome to have, aren't exactly the kind of surface you want for a workbench For a workbench, oak cedar, mahogany, maple or even pine could be a good fit for your bench They can take the abuse, and look saying "that all you got?"
Hello Cory! Thank you, glad to see you =) Yes, it's good idea. At this moment I'm looking for material to create a table and other stuff from previous restoration projects.
Another excellent restoration. The ax and the handle are perfect together. A tip: if it is available to you, use sodium bicarbonate (washing soda) instead of salt in your electrolysis solution. You will get a more thorough rust removal. (What voltage and amperage are you using?) Also, your English is getting better in each video.
@@ScrewsAndTools congratulations on having a bunch of adverts hopefully $$$$ will start to roll in..... Fantastic job too you are improving before our eyes !!!
The corrosion effect also adds character to the axe, giving it a well aged look Sure, rust sucks But you have to admit that it can sometimes make an instrument look cooler...
Excellent job as usual . I have one request of you , please stop using salt as an electrolyte . The byproduct is is chlorine gas being released into your work area . Please switch to sodium carbonate, (washing soda) it will work as well without the danger . We enjoy your posts and worry about you .
That handle and the axe head look perfect together, love that you kept the pitting it shows you it's age! Great job!
I agree. That handle and style fit for that look. Great job.
I LOVE the fact that you don't try to make the axe heads shiny! They're beautiful cleaned up like you do. And that 2 component stain/paint is AMAZING!! Absolutely gorgeous!!
The patina on the axe head looks good. It was a good idea not to remove it. Good job.
Another restoration completed. You've done a fine job once again.👍👍
Good Restoration

Very nice like the leather accent on the handle

Here's an idea: Make a video of you restoring your table.

Your new grinder that you use in this video looks interesting, did you make it yourself and if so did you produce a video on how you made it.
I love the Finnish you do to the tools because too shiny is not how tools look
I have never seen someone make a handle like this I've seen hand made but the way u done it was amazing
Good Job my old friend. Keep it up. Love your videos. Lets make a video of building a new work table to suit your projects and new belt grinder.

Thank you sir for attention. In the next project I will use soda. I used 12V for electrolysis.

Well done! Excellent work!
Thank you, sir.
Very good!!!!!! I was wondering why you were not using a Saw on the handle, now I know.
Good job!
If it's not broke it doesn't need fixing, your table is just fine IMHO 👍
Next restoration, new table and fitting it :)
Keep doing great jobs as always
Don't worry past Alex, you get a new table eventually. ✨️🪓✨️👍

Think you should have left it unpainted on the handle but good restoration though.
The blade finish is ûgly...u could have got a mirror finish
By using filler for the small dents and holes

How old was this hatchet head? It looks like it has been around for 100 or more years
It's probably more than 50 years old for sure. You can often find old items at a flea market. Thank you for attention.
Why buy a new table when I imagine you could create a table/work bench BETTER than what is available.
