This was pure gold in that time. I learned how to play 2v2 then 3v3 after this video. Only after seeing Cherez playing his hunter i started going into high ratings. Before that 1850-1950 was like best i could think off. After the video 2k, 2.2k for shoulders then and WOTLK Gladiator arenas. Nostalgia man...i Dont think i can ever get back to this game and have the same fun i had.
i found this awesome pvp movie after years.. I like it so much. one of the best tbc vids i´ve ever seen. i just started to farm and improve my pvp gear and skill for my druide in tbc after watching this video tbh :-) furthermore the music selection is so insane.
I don't think any pvp video had more of an effect on the competitive pvp scene as this video. I was fairly high rated at the time and the number of hunters before compared to after this video was insane.
Interesting! Would you say this was the absolutely top 2s comp then? Or did they also have a counter comp? Because in most old Arena Ladder Screens you see Druid/Warr Druid/Rogue & Druid/Lock on Top.... maybe this comp was discovered too late? Dont know man... just thinking about rolling Hunter when Classic TBC comes!
The impact this video had on the competitive scene is entirely different to the one you imagine. Beasteh was widely mocked for his showcase here. Especially considering that cherez and beasteh used to stay all night, waiting till the better players go to sleep so they can farm some nubs in peace.
@@Defilerx Having played that same comp in tbc back in then day, I remember the struggle of facing any good double dps comp with rogues. Rogue/lock and rogue/feral were nightmares.
@@Defilerx No it wasn't. Hunter is at best a C or B- tier class even with the best comp possible in TBC. These players were just way ahead of their time. Have you even watched the video? Their enemies have no clue what they are doing. Literally none. Druids are running around for no reason in caster form, they do not even bother switching pillars when one gets frost trapped on nagrand. Whereas warriors go for the pet, getting perma cc'd. Beasteh didnt once fake cast in the entire video. Their opponents couldnt make it any easier for them. For crying out loud, in the lock priest matchup the fel hunter is following cherez and losing the priest. This isnt a showcase of skill, its a showcase of farming trash. ROFL. Srry this is just LOL. Hunter was nothing in TBC? Hunter had one of the strongest abilities in the game - viper sting. Sure it required skill to play it successful and it wasn't the faceroll from later expansions, but it was far from nothing. Hunter druid consistently held a spot among the top arena teams throughout all of BC.
Hunter played with either priest or druid and was extremely cancer in 2s. Both comps were r1 viable since they dicked majority of healer teams and rogue druid or rogue priest was just free win.
Hunter - Druid in that particular meta was pretty , pretty strong , even more if you add the fact that the hunter was playing with the illidian bow that at the time drained 8 mana from each auto attack The scorpion was fairly tanky and was a great poision protect against abolish poison or any poison dispel for the viper string , that sucker put on you 5 stacks of useless poision but was so key at the time to make harder for the RNG to dispel the viper poison from the hunter that burned the mana like crazy The pressure of the hunter allowed beasteh to do pretty much whatever he wanted , not many druid (I was Druid Gladiator back in s4 and being Duelist in s3 and later on into the wotlk) comps allowed you to have so much space and freedom to do and undo as the hunter ones , (It is true that turtleing with a hunter was impossible if you fall behind your lose but... it was a strong comp nonetheless)
they didnt even harmstring the hunter... Look at 16:32. Warrior is stuck in roots, cherez runs to wingclip the guy, the warrior keeps tunneling the pet, doesnt even slow the hunter. Literally lets both the hunter and druid do whatever they want.

except for hunter back then was a completely different class than these days.
real true
half of his damage is melee xD and vipersting

this is by far the best hunter movie ever made

I liked homerjay from AT wotlk playing with his ret Pala. That's a gutsy video
