Felixstowe, in Suffolk, UK, in 2008 when the beach sea defences, and concrete groynes were rebuilt with rock . I think the ship is at present La Rochelle.
Yes - that's her particular job, to build new beach sea defenses. Brings stone in at high water, dumps it, and then cranes position it properly on the beach.
There was a major beach recharge and rebuild, and these rocks were being delivered just before high water so that they could be picked up and properly placed to form rock groynes to hold the sand in place. Felixstowe has a problem with longshore drift.
Now this is an interesting little ship and a fascinating operation! Whoda thunk it. Find a need and fill it! A neat video.
WoW! That was really nice. That is a really nice boat. Way cool concept. Love it.
Good job they all had their hard hats and hi viz jackets on !! Very dangerous being 200 feet away
All those massive stones so close to sure and only one shows. Geeeze how deep was this dump.

These are the best ships I've worked on.
I wonder if this is the little ship which capsized in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland , after damaging itself on rocks ....
Damien Hill I was just thinking the same myself. Wasn’t there another identical sistership?
just like 4 Dump trucks unloading great looking ship gets so close to the shore
Hard to believe there's 125 tons in each skip.
That is a finnish vessel 😊
É muito giro ver isso
that was an interesting boat
I remember this ship doing this at whitby with her sistership 20000tons bottom of east cliff
The Vessel Offload the Stone very near to the beach.
