Shawn Porter was clinically beaten by Yordenis Ugas. He fought on the back feet for twelve rounds. He was cornered and against the ropes for twelve rounds. He was jumping around the ring like a headless chicken. Dropped in the 12th but Ref called it a slip. How on earth did he win the fight? I guess that’s what happens when you come from Cuba, not Akron Ohio. ROBBERY!!
If u need a definition of the term 'robbery', check George Foreman tearing Shannon Briggs a new arsehole for 12 rounds, double-plus punches, double-plus jabs and double-plus power shots ALL LANDED but still shafted on the cards
Porters always been overrated, wants to look good first and win second, never a gold standard welterweight, just a flash in the pan that's kicked around a bit longer
Compubox is guys with clickers. Not a super accurate AI thing. It's worth checking punches landed yourself using slow mo etc if you're really bothered.
I thought Ugas won, but he was wasting opportunities to land more with his frequent showboating. You're the challenger, and a sharpshooting counterpuncher. *YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO GIVE THE JUDGES ANY REASON TO GIVE PORTER THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT*
HatmanSB, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease stop sitting on the fence, WATCH THE FIGHT AND SCORE IT, then come back and tell us who you thought won, who you thought lost and why. I'm fucking out of here.
I don't think Porter would beat him if they fought again, it would be close again. The fight was close on first watch. Porter just moves around he's a basic athletic fighter, doesn't set traps or anything. He just jumps all over the place. I personally find Porter fights boring, he does the same thing all the time. It's like hes playing tag.
How can you talk about "cold light of day" and "benefit of the doubt" but not mention the blatant knockdown that wasn't counted?? Need to re-watch and make another video imo
No, "confident body language" may fool casuals, but it does not fool 99% of professional boxers, and in the Wilder vs Fury fight.....80% of boxing professionals said TYSON FURY WON THE FIGHT!
There is no such rule. If you win more rounds, you win the fight regardless if you're the champion or not.The champion don't get extra points for being the champion. Show me that rule in boxing. You can't because it don't exist. This is something retarted fans made up.
I always like Porter fights, all action, but he's no defensive genius that's for sure. He lost this fight, but it wasn't a robbery and what about that knockdown, that was no way a slip, Porter throwing a few quid in the refs pocket there I think ;-)
It's sad but the champion usually gets the decision in close fights.. But this was clear as day. UGAS won. I picked him before the fight as this is his only loss at welterweight. Prior he took back to back losses after two year lay off in 2014..political reasoning.. Also Won a bronze as an amutuer. . His very strong and comes forward not to mention he would unify if he won. If you ever have time. Check out his fight with DeLorme or Julius James.. it is so hard being a B side... Getting the short end on every deal.. WBC stands for" we be crooks".. (in the words if the great James Toney)..
Can’t really say robbery because Ugas didn’t dominate the fight but the problem I have is the judges scoring. How can two of them score it so differently to the other guy, fair enough a round or two difference but not as many as that
It wasnt the worst decision in the world hatman but it was the wrong one in my eyes. not much too it though. Get the feeling porter would do him in a rematch
For me, the definition of a robbery in professional boxing can be summed up in one fight: Sven Ottke "beating" Robin Reid for the IBF super-middleweight title. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.
Very entertaining fight! Ugas the bigger man should have roughed up porter in the middle and late rounds when porter slowed down. Porters movement was good but he was getting caught to the body. I think it was a close fight, I think you could have made a case for both men.
I'm a fan of Porter, I always enjoy his fights for the most part BUT, he didn't win his one. It was close but I has him losing by 2 rnds. WBC JUDGES....AGAIN!!
Many thanks for the lecture. Nevertheless this was a predetermined robbery. LL bought & paid for. Obvious knockdown not acknowledged. It's time to kick the WBC out of our sport.
Hatman Compubox is unreliable and very inaccurate. I pay no attention to it as with the benefit of video I can judge a punch count far better than someone trying to do it live at ringside from one position only seeing one angle.
You can’t score a fight mate fury vs wilder round 7 wilder apparently landed one more punch but fury landed one twos and combinations and wilder landed jabs and nothing else so who wins that round ?in my eyes fury!! Thought you said compubox doesn’t always show the whole story of the fight when the fight is close especially!! Hatman defiantly doesn’t know how score fights saying the ggg vs Canelo fight was a fair draw pssshhhh yeh ok
Hatman and some of you fools out there.... Even Porter knew he lost that fight.... when the fight ended Porter knew in his mind that the title has changed hands.

Didn't think it was a robbery. Close fight could have gone either way
Ugas wasn’t exactly robbed, but I think he definitely won
HatmanSB, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease stop sitting on the fence, WATCH THE FIGHT AND SCORE IT, then come back and tell us who you thought won, who you thought lost and why. I'm fucking out of here.
It's not called a robbery its really called A Gifted decision to the champion but to be honest Porter lost that fight
I don't think Porter would beat him if they fought again, it would be close again. The fight was close on first watch. Porter just moves around he's a basic athletic fighter, doesn't set traps or anything.

I had porter winning 117 - 114 I found it really difficult to score no problems with people thinking ugas won but not a Robbery
Fifa JR can't see how you could have givin Porter that many rounds
I lot of the rounds were close I’m not a boxing expert so maybe I got a couple of rounds wrong but a robbery is a bit dramatic.
Ugas’ strength coupled with the fact that Porter had so much trouble making weight, allowed for Ugas to bully him
How can you talk about "cold light of day" and "benefit of the doubt" but not mention the blatant knockdown that wasn't counted?? Need to re-watch and make another video imo
Porter looked terrible, got ripped to the body all night.
No, "confident body language" may fool casuals, but it does not fool 99% of professional boxers, and in the Wilder vs Fury fight.....80% of boxing professionals said TYSON FURY WON THE FIGHT!
If Harrison Beat Jermell Charlo Then Ugas Clearly Beat Porter
Exactly
Completely different fight, terrible comparison.
@@TheSkecrow
Idiot Ugas Clearly Beat Porter & Harrison Didn't
...and Harrison did NOT beat Charlo🤦🏿♂️
@@DewarSon
We Know, I Just Can't Believe Judges Saw Harrison Winning & Not Ugas Beating Porter
117-111 116-112 for Porter ... is also an awful scorecard for that fight.
Porter won! I got 115-113. Ugas didn’t do enough
For me Porter won the fight no question Ugas was excellent but Shawn’s jab and movement was fantastic good fight
Should we take into account the Porter is the champion and therefore Ugas didn't do enough to win the fight?

The faces before the ref says the winner does tell the story if they are different like one sad another hopeful
The internet has made me reallt appreciate critical thinking. Another great breakdown lol and I wish the whole boxing community could listen

Shawn won most rounds. I had it wide for Porter. Ugas didn’t do enough. Good job Hat. Score it next time though, so you can speak definitively.
Harman what about the "knock down" ... Jack Reese in the eye of controversy lately. It was most def a knockdown. Big big mistake there.
Depending on the deciding judge giving the last round to either tighter that knock down will make it a draw or W for ugas
Can’t really say robbery because Ugas didn’t dominate the fight but the problem I have is the judges scoring. How can two of them score it so differently to the other guy, fair enough a round or two difference but not as many as that
"Personally I never score the rounds" 🤣
I'm playing hatman, love the content keep it up

Clear win for Ugas 😡

On a lighter note, porter is the ugliest P4P in boxing!
Ugas did NOT do enough to WIN!... And, this is coming from an observer who's jus'WAITING for someone, ANYONE, to take THAT STRAP!🤣🥊
And, I find it funny everyone thinks it's just $how-bizniz to rob Charlo and Pedraza, yet they're IN A HURRY to absolve Fury of the shinanigans🤦🏿♂️
1)UGAS CONTROLLED THE RING,
2) WASNT FAZED BY ANYTHING PORTER DID,
3) GOT A KNOCK DOWN THAT WAS RULED A SLIP AND PORTER WAS SHOOK, WATCH IT BACK .
We get it... you know where the caps key is...
Well done
disagree with the knockdown being legit. porter gets low and then gets pushed down or over easily
I'm a fan of Porter, I always enjoy his fights for the most part BUT, he didn't win his one. It was close but I has him losing by 2 rnds. WBC JUDGES....AGAIN!!
Shawn “non effective “ aggression Porter. Porter lost.
Porter got exposed.
Are you doing the bivol vs smith jr review
I had Shawn winning. Ugas fought well but imo was not busy enough. Btw that was a knockdown in the 12th.
I think Shawn did what he has to do and he did good this guy is really very tall and big honestly i don't know how he makes 147 lb
Many thanks for the lecture. Nevertheless this was a predetermined robbery. LL bought & paid for. Obvious knockdown not acknowledged. It's time to kick the WBC out of our sport.
Waiting on your review of Bivol vs Smith Jr big man

Set up nicely for a rematch
Porter is the weakest champion at 147. Too small and limited punching power. I think frankie gavin and Bradley skeete would beat him.
Frankie Gavin!! Come on mate 😂
to small??? he boxed at a high level at middleweight as a amatuer. he would destroy gavin and skeete
Tom Shaw Hahahaha
Ydksab.

Hatman and some of you fools out there.... Even Porter knew he lost that fight.... when the fight ended Porter knew in his mind that the title has changed hands.
Shawn strong cuz he supposed to be fighting at 160 he doesn’t hit hard enough tho
I stopped scoring after the 8th, had it ugaa 6-2. I'm guessing shawn won the last 4 rounds plus a knockdown.
Porter win rounds 9, 10 and maybe 11...no KDs
Yeah but what do you know Hatman?? You thought Canelo beat GGG in the 2nd fight! LOOOOOL
