I was gifted an Amazon Echo Show 5 for Christmas by another family member but in the setup process, it somehow doesn’t recognize ANY of my amazon accounts... how do I fix this??
You'll probably need to factory reset the device and that should do it.

Hey im very late but the Echo Show 5 didnt show up on my Amazon Alexa app after I connected and registered my Amazon account on it. How should I connect it?
It should do that on its own. You sure you're in the right account in both places?

All you need to do is login to the Alexa app with the same account you used in setup. If you mean Bluetooth, swipe down and go to settings!

I need help setting up my Echo Show 5. I got no voice commands or any other setup processes after I set up the wifi. What do I beed to do?
Hi Paul - That's very strange....when you say you have no voice commands, are you able to get simple things like the weather? Or is it that you need more in depth commands like smart home stuff?

I can’t get my Echo show to sync the contacts that I have synced in the Alexa App. I have several other devices and they are all set up. I can’t set up Drop In to call outside of the home as it’s greyed out.
I feel like this probably all resolved itself by now. If it didn't, then you may not have allowed your contacts to be used by Alexa during that initial tap. Check the communication tab and make sure that you can call from the app first and then if you're still struggling, maybe chat with Alexa's support team.
My echo will not let me swipe down for settings? I can’t do anything 😢

So make sure you are logged into the Alexa app with the same account

If it's stuck, I'd try a factory reset and if that doesn't work talk to Amazon support

I have both devices eco dot and ecoshow when I am calling the ecoshow it's not response even from short distance however the eco dot answer from the long distance this is with a normal voice
The ecoshow only respond when I call alexa with loud voice

I think what you want to look at is placement of your Echo Show. For example, is its microphone covered or is it in a position where echo from the room could be a problem. Placement is very important!
Otherwise, if it's dirty...I don't know how to clean that!

So depending on the account type, some people have a restriction to just one device. Once they're both connected to the same Amazon account though, if you have Prime or Amazon Music Unlimited, you should be able to play on any speaker!

This can happen for short periods of times if the device isn't correctly connecting to the internet/wifi. It can also happen if you're setting one up from a different country than your Amazon account is on.
Other than that, there's not much I can do. Sometimes dropping things off your wifi and rebooting your router can help you do that initial connection.

Try moving it a little closer and see if you can make that initial connection. Be within about 5 feet of your router and you should be good. Don't get closer than that either.
what if I need the MAC address before connecting it to my network? will it show it somewhere?
I can't see that anymore, but I don't think so. Here's what I'd do:
Connect to a different WiFi (or hotspot...but watch out for the update), get the MAC after setup (pull down and go to settings...it's in there), then just go into settings.

I don't think you can. You could try a Bluetooth connection as a speaker, but I am betting there would be a delay for the sound.

Help. I bought a refurbished Show 5. When I sign in with my Amazon account it keeps saying invalid. It’s the correct sign in information. I restarted the device with the same problem.
It sounds like you could factory reset, but in general I'd say you might need to reset your Amazon password. Something may be going on there

I don't see the option anywhere to add the Amazon photos to display
It should be in the menu when you pull down. Check Wallpaper and Clock :)

As soon as you sign in during the setup process, it's connected to the account that you signed in on...and it's in the Alexa app!
Is the phone app important for it to work? As the app isnt available in my country so i gotta download an APK
You can use alexa.amazon.com to set up and manage most things...but yes, it becomes important.

SORRY! I thought we were talking about a Dot for some reason. So yes, you can do it that way with the show series. You know though...I've never not had my account connected to a phone or tablet in the home so I can't 100% guarantee.

Video calling only works between 2 echo shows! Just add your contacts in within communication and have your friend/family do the same.
Im from the Philippines, having trouble in registering my amazon account. It says all the time 'we cant find your amazon account'
Try starting by registering a US Account and then maybe change your address later. You can change the address on Amazon.com later.
Ok I just got mines and it keeps saying that it can’t find my account. I made sure I typed it in right. I tried like 10 times and it still not working.
Let me ask you this...did you buy it in a different country than you have your Amazon account in? Also, make sure you can login to your Amazon account on amazon itself.

Did you have a chat with Amazon Support? They’ve fixed most things for me quickly! It’s a new device so I don’t know the tricks yet, but if you let me know...I will tell others!
is it possible to set up two users on one account. i have amazon prime and share it with my husband and teen son. We purchased an echo dot for our kitchen and living room, and amazon echo 5 for our sons room and our bedroom to use as alarm clocks. The accounts will not allow more than my husband to be a user, so I for instance cannot say "alexa add milk to my shopping list" because it just adds it to my husbands list, which is of NO use to me what-so-ever. All the videos I find are how to adjust the settings out of the box, none that actually show how to set this stuff up with accounts. Is it possible to have two (or three would be amazing) users and connect all these devices or should they go back to the store?
You can do it. :)
Use your own account, but your husband's account must share the devices with you. Then you can add your own items to your own shopping list.
Easier than that is "Add milk to Cari's Shopping List too"

My new Echo Show 5 is asking for a Amazon.com account instead of Amazon.ca. Is there anyway to get it to ask for .ca account?
Mine was a .ca account :). Make sure you're selecting Canada (English) and are in Canada (which I assume you are)

I have a question about the echo show 5, I could see my camera on amazon fire 10HD, but when I ask my show 5 the same command it says can't find the camera keep telling me to reset my skill. Do you get that question from another user? camera # AU-I41EJ0103-OP#US1

So, I received this for Christmas. It came with a free 30 day trial of Amazon Music Unlimited. I then subscribed to Amazon Prime which includes Prime Music. Yesterday, Alexa told me that my subscription to Music Unltd is finished. No more music. I am trying to connect to my Prime subscription but no luck. It is the same "account" with same username and password. Not sure what is going on here. Also, I am trying to find the "Alexa App" and cannot find it anywhere on this device. Has anyone else come across this ?

I know they do! Head to the Amazon site and it's in there if you look at your order list I think. They actually have reasonably good support too...just be patient :)

Go into the Communication tab in the Alexa app and make sure your contacts are synced. After that, just ask for a video call to them!

You may not have access to the internet on the one you're connected to...otherwise, it may be a router setting holding back the device.

So you would have to do that as part of your actual Amazon account. You could either go to Amazon and change the account info, or you could reset the echo show and connect to that account
