The little sticker goes on the reel to remind you what lbs test line you have on it. I had the regular dark star circus but I blew out the reverse drag. Just waiting after virus stuff to pass for them to send me a new part.
A year later, a third replacement. So, the first one had main gear slipping on me. Sent in for warranty replacement only to get another bad one right out of the box; it was missing a plastic cap in the tensioner knob so I returned. My 3rd replacement came in and box was a little damage but the reel is fine. I took it out a few times last year but haven’t used it this year yet. I am not sure if I will use any of my Kastking again except the Kapstan and Speed Demon Elite. I am just gonna save the money for a Shimano Curado DC or SLX DC then to have another Kastking reel. Maybe their more expensive Crixus ArmorX will be better but I am not putting my money there after a few disappointments.
I actually had issue with the first one after several months of use. Just got the replacement 3 days ago but it does not feel as good as the first one. the spool tensioner isn't making that clicking sound like my first one I purchased and I had tighten all the way with the magnetic set to max - the spool still bird nest just by letting the 1/2oz egg sinker drop - bird nest. I have a feeling this replacement I got is probably another DOA. I will find out tomorrow as I will be testing it out in the surf for two hour early morning fishing.
so i have the dark star crixus, for a year used it frequently and maintenance on it regularly. its been about a year and this reel has given me problems, its a great casting reel for plastics, so about using it, i found myself fixing this thing, one way clutch went out, after few months the bearings b5 and b4 went out on the schematics its bearings for pinion gear and the spool. Im buying parts left n right from their website and its costly. Im very disappointed in this particular reel.

ilove nico - I didn’t use it yet as I was asked to call Kastking support to check with them first. Plus I wasn’t feeling good to use the reel because with max tension and magnetic drag, the egg slider 3/4oz fall freely to the ground and bird nest.

Jason Beck Fishing Thanks for the info. I like my Kapstan 300, the outside dial is exactly for that purpose.
I have a feeling that the Crixus Plus isn’t that great compare to the Kastking Spartacus Plus or their Crixus ArmorX model
