Keep the video's coming Mick - Can't wait for that tank to be filled....
I remember having to do that with my 135g. I used wood shims on that one and they worked perfectly. Great video. 👍🏼
Great work and tips . Thank you
Nice work 💪and I will be sure to call you when I need all my tanks level and I just love that part in the video about the level not being able to get the job done 👍.
Love the videos mate very handy and u have helped me more times then I can count keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Rooms getting there mate, tank will look sick when you get it full💪🏽
I’d be careful using wooden shims as they can compress over time with the weight. Roofing slate works well as it doesn’t compress 👍🏻
you can get solid posterboard like non corrugated cardboard that is fairly easy to cut but quite strong and compression resistant and it comes in various thicknesses.
Good job.
Thanks for info. I’ve got an opportunity to get a 6ft aquarium but I live on the first floor of a flat built in 70s with wood and two brick skin. Can you advise if it’s safe. Comes with cabinet and wondering if that’s enough to spread the load? Cheers
Hi mate iv got a jewel lido 200l aquarium and i have an unlevel floor too. Do you think its a worry or ill be fine?
Diy sump would be great
Does it have to be 100% perfectly or can the bubble slightly touch the lines on the level ?
Did you check the level crosswise too ?
No the floor is good that way 👍🏻
can you send a link the material under the tank....I think it's called polystyrine or something? I'm getting a 180 gallon tank and have never had a tank that big. Thanks
Hi
Is it ok to put a tank that size on laminate flooring.
Will it not sink/ move over time.
I have a 90gallon tank coming do you think that would be ok on laminate flooring which is laid on floor boards.
What do you have between the tank and stand is that foam?
Did the tank need to be relieved after adding water? Thanks
No all good mate
Cant wait for this tank to be full of water and fish
Hi
I just level up my tank slightly unlevel but it leak as so as I fill it up to the top.
I just wonder should I reseal the whole inside the tank is a 5 X 2 X 2 tank
What you guys think ?
Hey mate bad luck. You need to reseal the whole thing take it apart and start again using some really good aquarium silicone. Good luck mate 👍🏻
What leveling mat did you use?
That's thermocol sheet ( in English polystyrene) beneath the tank not rubber mat
Look carefully
Mick what size is that tank
It’s 1800mm x 780mm x 650mm
Hi there, I'm a latecomer. What type of padding/foam is that under the tank and is a 5mm thick mat sufficient enough for a 20 gallon tank? Thanks in advance!
Do you ever get a answer on this? I’m wondering if if is foam
@@kendrixburriss2121 Sorry for the delay, but No I didn't get an answer on this. I did buy a DIY self leveling mat from Innovative Marine which is 5mm thick and rated for up to 2000 lbs and it is working out just fine for my 20 gallaon aquarium.
@@michaelbarker326
That's polystyrene sheet
What is the height of the stand? And that tank is a 210?
Should the tank be filled first before doing this?
Nah, for one thing it being filled with a literal tonne of water would make raising it up to get the shims in near impossible
What are putting in it a red devil
😮😂❤
Know what you are keeping in that big tank yet?
Ur have to wait and see bud
Hi
Can i use the hard plastic shims they use round windows and doors to level under my fishtank cabinet or are the to weak.
You could probably get away with it but I would rather use metal or wood ones .
@@MicksFishUk thankyou ive looked everywhere for metal shims but cant find any like you used.
I get them from work mate I’m a window installer. If u no a metal shop they will be able to cut you some 👍🏻
@@MicksFishUk oh right ok thankyou.
Love your channel 👍
Thats a lot of shims. Has to be done though
Is that even safe ? That is quite alot of unevenness under such a massive tank. With substrate, rocks, and the weight of the water in that tank, all that shimming will put a ton of strain on the stand!
Yer it’s fine it been like that for nearly a year now 😁👍🏻
Tiler was drunk.
