I mean.. with that cake dream story, what if they had found someone outside? What would they have done?? Her lie would be responsible for that
Story #7 OP needs to confront MIL directly, explain that MIL is not the parent, and that disregarding rules set by her and her partner and disrespecting her outright will result in her not getting to see her grandchild. Make the expectations clear and the consequences clear. Right now she only respects her son and has developed the expectation that she can walk all over OP. She really needs to put her foot down, and hard, if she wants to get through to her.
As someone working on starting a business, and makes about 1K to 2K a month right now...does this guy in the first story understand how businesses get started?
He DOES know that her business can't get funded and grow if people don't know about it, right? Does he not know that promoting the business and sharing the idea and getting people hyped up and excited is how she's going to GROW that business and make it viable? Does he think that's just something she has to sit and wait for before she talks about it?
Because if she just sits on her hands and doesn't talk about it, it's going to fizzle out and go nowhere. Fuck that- even talking to other parents on career day is a great idea! It's a start! You never know, maybe one of those parents will decide to invest!

44:20 he thought doing the bare minimum was going to be enough, and he thought doing the bare minimum was good enough, and she should take it, by him doing the bare minimum, he did everything he could now the rest is out of his control and it’s her problem now, she’s the problem, not his mom, she’s the bad guy because she isn’t grateful for the bare minimum her her husband did, now mommy is the victim, and she hurt his mommy’s feeling, all she had to do was let his mom do as she pleases, and when he was ready, he would’ve done the bare minimum again, and she should be grateful for that. Hell no! throw away that whole family!
