Riser Block Installation for Grizzly 14" Bandsaw | Missing Parts

- Adding a riser block to your bandsaw is a quick way to greatly increase the cutting capacity of the saw. My Grizzly 14" bandsaw came with a riser block, but no other parts of the riser block kit. So, I had to get creative and fabricate the missing parts for this installation. After a bit of work, my saw's cutting capacity increased from 6" to 12", allowing me to resaw much larger boards than before.

I wish I worked that fast
Thanks for the video. I just finished refurbishing this exact same saw. I noticed on mine the top guide blocks sit forward too much (~3/16”). After some measuring, this appears to be a design flaw. Did you notice the same? I corrected it by filing the castings of the clamps for the hex rod.
I can't say I've had that issue, but I'll have to check tonight.

Where did you even find the Riser Block to purchase? They seem nonexistent online
It came with the bandsaw when I got it at auction. They're not difficult to make out of hardwood. Or, if you have any skill with a welder, out of tube steel and plate.
@@GlennFrazeeYT this is a great idea, thanks. Would you be able to provide the height and width dimensions of the riser block itself?
It's a 6" tall riser block. You'll want to measure the width based on your bandsaw.
Available directly from Grizzly. Riser block kit H3051, $125. They also have a video to show how to install
Mine sucks LOL
Good reason to upgrade it then! 😁
