You are right a lot of content creators have arrived in BGC coming from everywhere. Some are couples, individuals like you, friends, sisters and even expats who decided to retire here start vlogging. What your doing is perfect visiting the outskirts where people can't reach or have never been to.
You know what like about your channel is the scootering around you did going to not just BGC but outside of BGC. Yes there are more places to explore but you don’t have to empty ur wallet. The simplicity of daily life that u do as a foreigner is what attracted me the most is how you live in the Philippines your day to day activities the struggles and successes and the way you navigate and adjusting to a 3rd world country. I live here in the US and I always follow your channel and even my sister who lives in Canada. Why, that is because we are retired and we are curious on how you adjust, adapt and overcome. People are also interested on how you socialize with locals and meet new friends. In my opinion people watch you for relatability, unpredictability, randomness and how you overcome adversities in your trip, compassion, respect and having FUN on what u do. I’ve seen a lot of BGC videos but I don’t necessary watch it because they don’t live there. Like I said you don’t have brake your wallet. Show us the real BGC. The problems you encountered and how it was resolved. People wants a bit of drama adventure and laughter and how it can help us if we move and decided to retire in BGC just like you. Good luck to you and more power!
Mergim, we suggest you make a Bucket list of the things you want to do in the Philippines. And maybe take a break from Vlogging so you can recharge and come back more energized. Don’t burn yourself out.
Don't worry about the newcomer vloggers, Mergim, in my opinion you're one of the best because you interact with locals, try to learn about the culture and go to where tourists don't usually go.
it's healthy competition. Don't worry, people change taste in terms of content by creators from time to time. There is 110 million filipinos out there. Just do what you love and don't worry about the viewers or subs. Enjoy the Ph that is what we want to see.
BGC content is getting oversaturated I suggest visiting other islands, although it might not make a ROI at first but overtime you'll get picked up by the UA-cam algorithm for being "unique". I would suggest going to places that very few travel vloggers have yet to visit like Mindanao also film more videos in the province as I've noticed a lot of local Filipinos would prefer that content since it stands out from this BGC bubble of content. Avoid famous tourist attraction spots since almost everyone with a camera will film that. Last suggestion is to collab with LOCAL UA-camrs and not other travel foreigners since that will open up your audience horizon. Nonetheless best of luck to you mate!
🤣Mergim, BGC is another character in your vlogs that you can't play out. The repetitiveness and mundane activities like going to Pick Up Coffee or talking to a random sales guy about how you are being ripped off for your air conditioning bill and going through the technicalities of inverter air conditioners with him while he looks at you in total confusion is actually hilarious and entertaining. I love every aspect of your BGC vlogs from the b-roll to the food reviews to interacting with random people. People don't necessarily want to see you visit new places all of the time, but rather just interact with your second character and exist in your world within BGC. It's like Casey Neistat and NYC. No one really cares when Casey goes to LA or other parts of the world, but when he is just skating around NYC and doing daily errands, it creates magic. That's what BGC does for you and you should continue to own it because you innovated it. You're the Chairman of BGC forever, don't kill off your main character in your vlogs. Just be creative with what you have within BGC and use it as a backdrop to talk about other topics. You can talk about anything, but just keep BGC in the background as you discuss it. Also, BGC is a living thing. It is dynamic and constantly changing and growing. You can't possibly play it out.
Siargao is quickly becoming the new Bali but also saturated with Vloggers, but Clark is the new up and coming city. Would be interested in seeing those rising destinations too from your perspective. Cheers.
Agree. I've been to Clark, near Korean town, and it's highly recommend. Beautiful parks with an influx of foreigners. Great foods like Thai, japanese, korean
I hope Siargao would be preserved and protected as a peaceful, uncrowded and pristine area as what is it known for. This is what's scary-- its becoming too popular and in time it might someday lose its natural charm.. i hope not 😬
Chairman, there is one Festival Coming in Mindanao for you to consider worth visiting on October 12, for sure you'll be amazed by the amount of fans you'll get by visiting Zamboanga City. The Zamboanga Hermosa Festival is one of the biggest and most awaited festivals in the city and the region. This showcases the beauty of Zamboanga City-its rich and diverse culture and heritage. It is indeed a spectacle worth witnessing....hope you drop by the latin City..stay safe.
Right on the spot regarding all new vloggers. Not only in BGC, but all over PH. Tbh it starting to get a bit repetitive with all these vloggers vlogging from the same places as the previous vlogger and the vlogger before that. 10 people vlogging about the same street food for example are rather useless for me as a viewer. It’s not about quantity. There is a few vloggers doing quality content. You are one of them!👍🏼⭐️
I noticed that too. I’ve been here since 2018. It started with a lightning so bright that you know the thunder will be a loud one. First time I heard a loud thunder and it startled me. Crazy weather we’re having in the 🇵🇭. I 💙 the rain though. Mergim I’m really surprised how little views you get when traveling outside of BGC. Your subscribers want you2 go somewhere in the 🇵🇭 outside of BGC. But when you do go not too many views. Maybe viewers want to see remote islands that tourists don’t travel to. I don’t get it?! Anyways take care always.
Exactly! I do put some eatery reviews on Google. Most views are on the well known places with a lot of reviews already. A bit disappointing really. Seems that originality is not rewarded.
After a mere two years in this country, I presume you have come to understand that the months spanning from July to December are characterized by the relentless downpours and tempestuous conditions that prevail in the Philippines. It is quite possible that you are still adapting to this meteorological phenomenon, although there is little to be done as it is a natural occurrence with which everyone must acquaint themselves. Admittedly, it can prove vexing at times, yet it is an inevitable aspect of residing in a tropical nation nestled within the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, much like my own homeland. In a matter of mere months, you shall bear witness to the scorching heat that pervades once the monsoon season has subsided. I trust you shall refrain from excessive grievances regarding this matter.
I don't usually want to suggest anything, but why not try Arnis, Kali or Filipino Martial Arts training, Jungle Survival Training or Scuba diving if you have an underwater camera. There's also a Hot Air Balloon festival in Clark, Pampanga this October and Lanzones Festival in Camiguin island. Perhaps go to a Safari Sanctuary in Calauit Island, Siargao or visit the OG BGC during the Spanish era, Vigan at Ilocos. Goodluck Chairman!👍
october is lanzones festival in mambajao, camiguin camiguin's 7 volcanoes is probably one of the most unique tropical islands in the philippines and the pacific btw, middle to november, luzon won't be as rainy and their Christmas is more sparkling and colorful than the other regions of the country
Yay! Camiguin Island! Spent many summers there backpacking in different municipalities years ago and living in various homestays, way before UA-cam was even a pipe dream. No tourists back then. If there were, they were only a handful.
When I saw BGC in your title. I was a bit hesitant. I usually skip Vlogs regarding BGC. I can only watch so many BGC videos. Watching beaches/provinces/locals are far more interesting.
Keep on doing the content outside of Manila, especially outside of BGC. I'm curious about the hills beyond Cloud 9. I've heard there are exciting hikes and adventures. It would be great to see your perspective on those places. Also, another neat place next to BGC is right behind Market Market, go across the highway and walk down the hill; it's an exciting neighborhood with super friendly people.
In 2018, Juicy Vlog was traveling to the Philippines. It was my first exposure to see foreigners in the Philippines. I bought in and subscribed. A year or so later they found BGC home and it was then I learned more about BGC. I’m happy for Philippines getting more international exposure but appreciate when I see the local side of the Philippines. I continue to subscribe to them but find myself watching more UA-cam content around the Philippines like this channel and other Vloggers. Keep it up and you do you 😊
I think it's global. NY experienced flooding like never before. It's been raining in NY everyday. Also raining in Florida every day. I think because it's getting hotter during the summertime, it's natural that the rainy season will have, well, more rain.
There are many places inside Metro Manila that are outside of BGC. You need to find out and explore them. Be sure to research details about them online first so the info you deliver has few mistakes.
If you don't like the weather, blame it on the 20+ typhoons that hit or sideswipe the Philippines every year, without the clouds and rain, it would be even hotter and dryer every day as if it was the dry season. In between the typhoons, are the sudden tropical thunderstorms that are caused by the Intertropical Convergence Zone. Consider the rainy and typhoon season in the Philippines as the equivalent of winter in the temperate zone.
Do more. Affliate marketing, tiktok shop, niche blogs, brand endorsements UA-cam ad revenue shouldnt be the only source because its no longer like in the past where viewers dont have million choices of channels to watch.
You need not go too far out of BGC, the surrounding Metro Manila area have s lot to offer from landmark, bars, to food each Municipalities are known for make interesting content.
Learn to live with the weather and nature altogether, it is what it is, we need the rains to replenish our reservoir for our fresh water need, we are an archipelago, detached from mainland Asia, where the Himalayas nortures its gargantuan population thru its great rivers😊
I mean if you’re just using the place for content of course you’re gonna run out of things to make content of lol. It’s supposed to be your home where you feel safe and relax. If you want to make content you gotta think of new ways, if you love traveling then go outside of bgc and make content out there.
Yes, life in the city s routinary and not as adventurous and exciting than in provinces. Most expats prefer and do stay in Philippine provinces like Cebu, Bohol, Siargao, Dumaguete because they can explore more by going to places easily. Since you are a travel vlogger, guess it would be more practical if you just rent affordable but comfortable spaces like bachelor's pad penthouses on the provinces where you would want to explore. 😉
I'm moving to the Philippines in about 6 months. I'm torn between BGC or cebu. I'm going to start doing youtube videos on travel and whatnot. But I'm going to focus on areas outside vlogging. I'm doing it more so for fun. I've been doing photography and film for 15 years. Run a few different businesses. Don't really care if my youtube makes money. Definitely want to explore outside the norm though. Probably why I'll go to cebu
Time for you to move to Muntinlupa, Filnvest! there are no bloggers there but the place is for me better than BGC, its quiet, green laid back and modern, plus its stone throw away from Laguna, Tagaytay, Cavite and Manila. Please move there and promote the area. it deserves to be discovered!
I agree. I live and work there. It's better than bgc. There's a lot of greenery parks. Hangout at famous bars located at Molito where you can catch celebrities once in a while
I live in a nice condo in Pasig (It's much cheaper than BGC, has great facilities, yet I am only 15 minutes away from BGC by motorbike should I need to go there). Straight out of the metro on Ortigas Ext and into Rizal, where there there are a great many areas of natural beauty in the hills. I don't understand the fixation with BGC. Why come to live in a country like the Philippines and then live in a place that's exactly the same as the city centres where you came from?
Can't remember if you're been to Siargao, it's a place that will keep you busy for a while, even foreign vloggers who have lived there for some years are still duscovering new places, also I've watched some vlogs about Tablas island and it seem like a very interesting place
After a year in BGC, I share the same sentiments as you. Nonetheless, still love your contents, Mergim. I see you from time to time lol. The provinces are where its at! Going around Ortigas and Makati even feels like a breath of fresh air to be honest. A lot has changed here (in a bad way). It's not as clean and safe as it used to be. Just a heads up to be cautious at night. I roam around this urban jungle pretty much everyday to take a breather (might not be a good idea due to the smog going on) but it's still got the best bike lanes I guess.
Arca South in Taguig is supposedly better than BGC. It has more green space and the biggest Landers in the Philippines. That’s what I’ve heard but I don’t know, I’ve never seen it.
Dont be too much discourage if the weather bec here in united states like new york its flooding right im sure maybe bec ot the climate change just enjoy yourself be careful all the time just be thankful to god godbless
I love a rainy night. A song by Eddie Rabbitt. I don’t like it very much because it’s very repetitive. A song that doesn’t repeat is, Colour my world, by Chicago. Check it out. I like rainy days, because it’s cooler and I save money by not running the AC. Rainy days and mondays, by the Carpenters. You should be like Gene Kelly, Singing in the rain. Or be like kids in the province, they really know how to have fun in the rain.
Timers are needed because Filipinos are always fashionably late. Having a timer is helping you keep your goal. In a way it lets you know how precious your time is.
I always knew people living in an exclusive area in the US, Canada, Australia , UK will choose places like BGC as their home. In their home country, they hardly travel outside their exclusive zone, they cut themself off from society and isolation which lead many people have mental illness become gay or paedophiles. These are rich and wealthy people with wife and children. Human being not dog and cat eat sleep in a beautipful mansion , stay all days in a penthouse office. People need to interact and socialised with community and society regardless if they rich or poor
Hahahaha. You know, honestly, I prefer province life more than city life. It's just that work and money is more accommodating and promising here in the Metro City. But none compares to the fresh air, alkaline water and scenic green views. You'll just nit like the rotational brownouts happening in the province though. Hehehe
We saw on some occasions his true interest in mechanics - his background as I understood. The sportscar in BKK. His interaction with the ferry captain. The AC saga. Now that drone thing. I do wonder if viewers are interested in a Jeepney repair shop, luggage handling at the airport, scaffolding erecting , high rise construction …
Renting condo in bgc and Makati is so huge, find a condo nearby cities and you can go to bgc anytime if you want be practical and look forward how to save
For all the Foreigners thinking a about going in Philippines. I will not suggest you to go to Makati City everything there is expensive. If you want to visit Philippines i suggest go to el nido , coron siargao.
The things that new foreign vloggers do are already quite repetitive so I don't think it will catch much interest unlike you and the other earlier vloggers who did local content. I guess that's where the advantage lies. To you guys, these things are already considered been there, done that. The country has over 7k islands so there's a lot more interesting content to be done aside from the usual BGC, Cebu, Palawan, Siargao or Boracay stuff.
That lightning stop the whole international airport activities on the other side of town and we were stuck in the plane for nearly 3 hrs before it taxing its way to the tarmac
You are right a lot of content creators have arrived in BGC coming from everywhere. Some are couples, individuals like you, friends, sisters and even expats who decided to retire here start vlogging. What your doing is perfect visiting the outskirts where people can't reach or have never been to.

mergim, come to solenad nuvali (sta rosa). for a slow day. You can take a p2p (point to point) bus in makati
Don't worry about the newcomer vloggers, Mergim, in my opinion you're one of the best because you interact with locals, try to learn about the culture and go to where tourists don't usually go.

As long as you pay for his hotel accommodation and ticket he can go. So many suggestions he needs revenue in order to sustain his contents 😊

Hi Mergim I would like you to know I’m one of your follower here in US. I enjoy watching your vlog.
BGC seems cleaner than New York woooow thank you sir showing us this place
NYC is dirty. A lot of cities in the world are cleaner/safer than NYC.
We just love ur vlogs around the Philippines 💙
even if there are lots of vloggers in bgc, you are unique and different....there is only one chairman in bgc.....and that's chairman mergim! :)
I think it's global. NY experienced flooding like never before. It's been raining in NY everyday. Also raining in Florida every day. I think because it's getting hotter during the summertime, it's natural that the rainy season will have, well, more rain.

A loyal subscriber here from California … watching your videos make my day. Thank you for sharing. Be well and stay safe. 😊
Love the rain in Philippines, only time its cooler!
You can also try to visit ASEANA city's new mall in Parañaque, its called Parqual Mall.
Consider the rainy and typhoon season in the Philippines as the equivalent of winter in the temperate zone.
whatever content you may have i will still watch and support you..i enjoyed actually all of your vlogs
Try visiting Eastwood city in Metro Manila Quezon City, its like 20 minutes ride from BGC. It's another CBDs in the Philippines.
Try the new park link city being developed near Eastwood. Find the huge statue there
Eastwood is a tedious as BGC. Another generic mall.
Bro our women's national football team made the Women's World Cup for the 1st time and won a game. It's getting popular.
Do more. Affliate marketing, tiktok shop, niche blogs, brand endorsements
UA-cam ad revenue shouldnt be the only source because its no longer like in the past where viewers dont have million choices of channels to watch.
Province life isn't all that great Mergim I live in one far away from malls but it is good to visit once in awhile
It's nice 😌 to see you at home 🏡 in BGC for a change. It's been awhile.
You need not go too far out of BGC, the surrounding Metro Manila area have s lot to offer from landmark, bars, to food each Municipalities are known for make interesting content.
Hey I agree!! You’ve always been very good with your words.
Hey chairman! Would love to see Siargao series next 😁
Iam alwsys following you everyday

Just keep on vlogging dude were always here supporting you.
Mergim, go to Cubao Expo you’ve missed out on that gem 🫰🏻
There is a typhoon east of the country, Jenny, which is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon rain for the next several days.
Cities have their appeal, but I watch your vids for any nature-related content. That and the people is where Philippines shines.
Try living in Alabang for a change or Clark Pampanga. These are cities equally beautiful with a lot of foreigners
Mergim -- So far, it's been quite a journey. I look forward to new chapters.
Try visiting Negros Island Bacolod City during its masskara festival this October
Honestly beautiful video because of the surround storm🇺🇸❤️🇵🇭
it's better in the province, then enjoy fishing with the local fishermen blogging, raw blogging and authentic is the best
Try all school universities,..within or outside Manila..
I mean if you’re just using the place for content of course you’re gonna run out of things to make content of lol. It’s supposed to be your home where you feel safe and relax. If you want to make content you gotta think of new ways, if you love traveling then go outside of bgc and make content out there.
Hi mergim i love BGC content forever 😊
Just keep doing your daily routine bro!! We are here to support you!!! Please visit here in Davao..
stay in the provinces.. bucket list mergim.. be the first foreign vlogger to visit each province each city each municipality. take a real adventure. 🥳

@@Re3iRtH Is that a serious question? My condo in Pasig has 1Gbps fibre.
But look at the grasses behind you and elsewhere they are lush and if puddles persist soon there will be dragonflies and maybe butterflies to admire.
Dragonfly larva eat mosquitos.
First view, first like, first comment. Yay!
Your videos are truly gorgeous 🇺🇸❤️🇵🇭
Goodmorning Mergim 🌞☘️ The Da Vinci in BGC is ongoing until October only hope you catch it up. Have a great day!
I enjoy the everyday life in BGC kind of videos.
BGC still a great place to live mergim. it still looks more better and clean than here in Chicago
Do live vlogs, people can directly send gifts. I prefer that it’s quick for the viewers
It’s rainy season till December I don’t know if some other island if it’s raining too much.❤️👍❤️
Arca South in Taguig is supposedly better than BGC. It has more green space and the biggest Landers in the Philippines. That’s what I’ve heard but I don’t know, I’ve never seen it.
I love Landers! I use the one near my place, Landers Arcovia!
Sir, lots of islands on the table yet to explore from Batanes to Tawi-Tawi🌦️
Thank God we stl hv d weathers🙂
Dont be too much discourage if the weather bec here in united states like new york its flooding right im sure maybe bec ot the climate change just enjoy yourself be careful all the time just be thankful to god godbless
I really did enjoy province videos of you driving around. Just random stuff happening to you.
Nice vlog😀😀
Mergim just visit Camarines Sur beaches and Mount Mayon Volcano it's so amazing(Albay)
I wish you would cover babuyan islands. Except for one blogger, I have not seen any extensive vlogs about the islands.
Just visit enjoy Bicol region ( Camarines Sur, Sorsogon and Albay ) more convenient and cheaper.
But I still loved your vlog... One of a kind..
Hi mergim im a fan and i would like to suggest to try Up North of Luzon ( ilocos sur, Norte, cagayan, abra) try the Province life they can offer
To be honest if your there during the time of October-January it’s always rainy
Hi Mergim😊 try to expolore Marikina or Rizal area😊
I always knew people living in an exclusive area in the US, Canada, Australia , UK will choose places like BGC as their home. In their home country, they hardly travel outside their exclusive zone, they cut themself off from society and isolation which lead many people have mental illness become gay or paedophiles. These are rich and wealthy people with wife and children. Human being not dog and cat eat sleep in a beautipful mansion , stay all days in a penthouse office. People need to interact and socialised with community and society regardless if they rich or poor
Try Ilocos Norte & Ilocos Sur, Batanes!
August and September peak of rainy session
Hi Mergim. Try to visit Catanduanes Island. Direct flight from Naia to Virac. Maybe you like it👍
Wait till typhoon season has finished! 😂
mergim you didnt go to bagac bataan las casas acuzar yet
Hahahaha. You know, honestly, I prefer province life more than city life. It's just that work and money is more accommodating and promising here in the Metro City. But none compares to the fresh air, alkaline water and scenic green views. You'll just nit like the rotational brownouts happening in the province though. Hehehe
Have you been in Batanes island?
Have you been to New Clark city? Its the next mega city also why haven't you ride a electric scooter? This will definitely save you gas and time.
I agree. Just wandering around cooing at tall buildings in BGC is very tedious.
Renting condo in bgc and Makati is so huge, find a condo nearby cities and you can go to bgc anytime if you want be practical and look forward how to save
I would love to give extra 3dollar for u mergim thank u for promoting philippines
For all the Foreigners thinking a about going in Philippines. I will not suggest you to go to Makati City everything there is expensive.
If you want to visit Philippines i suggest go to el nido , coron siargao.
Mate have you considered going back to Thailand for a bit and recharging there?
I can relate ❤
The things that new foreign vloggers do are already quite repetitive so I don't think it will catch much interest unlike you and the other earlier vloggers who did local content. I guess that's where the advantage lies. To you guys, these things are already considered been there, done that. The country has over 7k islands so there's a lot more interesting content to be done aside from the usual BGC, Cebu, Palawan, Siargao or Boracay stuff.
That lightning stop the whole international airport activities on the other side of town and we were stuck in the plane for nearly 3 hrs before it taxing its way to the tarmac
