    Your channel has given me so many ideas. I've never used a planner before, or a bullet journal and I'm about to start both. My life is a mess; digital planning isn't working for me. I need a system that works and I just happen to be a big pen nerd, so I'm not quite sure why I never thought of it before. Thank you for your amazing content! I ordered a bunch of stuff last night, including a Jetstream 0.5 - two actually, as my daughter (15) is going to start this with me!

      Thank you for watching and welcome to the paper planning family! I hope this process ends up working for you as much as it does for me!

    Seeing how you use your cousin makes me really intrigued by it! Maybe once I fill up my journal I’ll have to try it out. I like the idea of using the daily pages as part trackers, part journal use, and part to dos and meetings etc.

    • @lindseyscribbles
      @lindseyscribbles  4 роки тому

      A lot of the concepts I use in the cousin can probably be applied to any journal. But I love how I've got a whole years worth of tasks, memories, and notes in one journal all together.

    I love the way you use it. I have my first hobonichi cousin and am debating how to use it; I think this comes closest to what I’m looking for. Thanks for the inspiration!

    This was the video I've been looking for! Thank you so much for the clear explanations. My first year in a Hobonichi cousin as my main planner and I'm nervous and excited (weird, huh?)! I would love to see updates from your planner as you go. Great ideas!

    I subscribed! Taking notes on your great ideas! I love how you use the Calendex (sp) for the Cousin. I will be using the Cousin Avec for everything in 2020. I love how you use the Cousin for functionally weekly planning (not many video’s out there) and hope to see your pages a little more up close in future videos. I don’t use sticker kits in my Cousin, they take up too much space and I need the room for plans and things I track week to week... I am excited to use my Cousin Avec for 2020 for my main planner. I bought the Cousin Avec in September 2019, to try out and fell in love with it. I am also using the A6 Day Free with a Weekly Accessory notebook for my every-day-carry. Thank you for making this video, I look forward to seeing more...

    Ok rewatching this video bc your spreads are incredible and I'm in a hobo cousin for next year...anyways, I just laughed out loud that your word of the year for 2020 was space. I mean how ironic!? LOL we all got space that year we weren't expecting...

    OMG I swear you are a sister from another mother...I had this EXACT conversation (with myself, sigh 🙄) about the change to the weekly timeline with 5 at the very top, and that it would now force me to use the line with the number as the start of the hour and not the middle! You must be in a tech field too, it’s that analytical thing 🤣 Another great video, keep them coming please!

    Thank you for a great walk-through! I'm awaiting the arrival of my first Hobonichi Cousin Avec and gained some great tips from this video. I really like the bullet journal concept but I'm not great at setting up spreads on blank paper and trying to figure how much space to allot for different sections. The allure of this product is that it's pretty much a bullet journal already set up. I'm also going to keep a Commonplace Book this year so a lot of things I normally would have but in a BuJo can go there.

    Loved your setup! I’m switching things up in my Hobo this year as well - Year 4! One major difference is that I’m splitting up my tasks not by topic but by size or time commitment (Swift/Slow). Eventually, I’ll get around to filming and sharing it. Thanks so much for your great tips! I’ve never thought about organizing collections in that way on the dailies. Where do you get your stickers?

    Hi Lindsey! Recently started running into some health struggles and I wanted to take my tracking up a notch and I would love to utilize this idea. I just want to make sure I understand your method, correctly. Do you highlight the important parts of each day as is on the page to the left, and highlight them accordingly, to your "key" on the right? I think you called this your index, of the sorts. If not in this video, another one.

      Christie Plans thanks for watching 🥰 I use my bullet journal for most of my preplanning truthfully. Before I added the bullet journal into my rotation I would just write it on a sticky note I’d put in the side bar section

    • @Okie_Stitches
      @Okie_Stitches 4 роки тому

      lindseyscribbles you know I ordered a cousin, right?! 😆 I was thinking stickies would work or a printable monthly tucked in the pocket. I usually just use the monthly for preplanning, but I love the blurb and character sticker like you’re doing. I’m trying to do a photo most days in my A6 Hobonichi. I’m excited to get my cousin. You keep showing flips and keep me motivated/inspired!

    • @lindseyscribbles
      @lindseyscribbles  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks! The most important thing with vellum is to get the right paper type for your printer (ink jet or laser etc). I have an ink jet printer and this is the paper I use. It’s nothing special but worked out for me!

    On the pages where you have the lists or trackers in the beginning of January, are you going to journal there? I was little confused on why you put those there. Overall, great ideas and very informative.

    • @lindseyscribbles
      @lindseyscribbles  4 роки тому +1

      I'll journal on the right hand side of each page! The trackers take up a little bit more of the page than a typical daily list, but I find journal on the whole daily page to be a little too much room for the day to day for myself. Hope that helps!

    How much time do you spend on average with journaling per day?

    • @lindseyscribbles
      @lindseyscribbles  4 роки тому +2

      My normal morning planning routine takes me around 15-30 minutes. If I’m feeling creative in the evenings I’ll spend a little more time than usual in the daily pages which could bring my daily total closer to 45-50 minutes. This is both my productivity tool and hobby so I don’t mind spending a bit more time in my journal each day

There was nothing that was unrelated or pointless in your video. I really enjoyed your in-depth explanation and think it was very helpful. Thanks for sharing...and please don't feel bad. You. Did. I feel like everything you said had a point and was relevant to your explanation of the theme of this video, how you will use your planner in 2020. People who watch these videos want all that information. You spoke clearly and kept on track. I think it was a great video.
