Love the first "one minute wonder" ! But they certainly are each unique this week. I hope your friends are ok through it all, in losing their pup. I so dread losing our 3rd, as well. Our vet comes to our home. He and his wife are so caring and comforting during that time. It's so awful. I feel for them. We love our babies so incredibly much for sure. I only have Portuguese wine in the house so I will have a tiny sip for them (since I am working though it is oddly semi quiet for once!---I hate to jinx myself). Anyway best wishes to all. I really like the house and the beautiful grounds! The kitchen is great and I can picture myself cooking there. When I saw the cat lying in the middle of the bed it looked like home. The cat looks like my cat (Simba) and my cat loves my bed as well. … excellent location too

Thanks for taking us to Abruzzo , one of the best values . the one min ( $26,000 ) it looks like our 3rd floor . Italian floors ; 1st is 'piano terra' , 2nd is 'primo piano' , 3rd is 'secondo piano' . some people don't do well with stairs . personally , I like stairs and views . this would be great to get a feel for the area . you could later rent it out . Love it .

I double checked and yes it’s Form 1116 that is submitted on the IRS tax return for any income tax paid in another ‘approved’ country like Italy. Hello you two. That 25,000 euro apartment in San Martino. I bought it. I saw it on a real estate UA-cam site then was looking up Abruzzo info and saw it on your site. SO COOL it's a one bedroom and that cute brick small room is storage and the attic is big can be made into another space. It's an amazingly clean town of 800 people. With wine trails next to the apartment. 20 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes to Chieti. Thanx for featuring it for some more photos. Hi Severo👋🏼 We are well, hope you are too! Yes, you can tax advantage of the 7% flat tax scheme as an Italian citizen living abroad but there are criteria that have to be met in order to participate. Below is some info about the program from a website we reference often, along with a link to the site... "Any retiree can apply, both Italian and non-Italian, as long as you meet the criteria set out by the law: You must not have been an Italian tax resident for any of the past five tax years. This means that if, for example, you have already lived in Italy for a few years, you cannot move to one of the eligible small southern towns just to benefit from this tax cut to your foreign pension. You draw a pension outside Italy. You qualify even if you do not have a traditional pension but rather receive money as “Substantial Equal Periodic Payments” (SEPP), for example from a 401K or IRA. And, you qualify even if you have a job, as far as you also collect a pension. You are currently a resident in a country that has tax agreements with Italy. The list includes the EU countries, Canada, Japan, Russia, Switzerland, the UK and the USA. You move to an Italian village included in one of the categories designated by the law for this specific tax incentive (read below for more information). For Italians living abroad, you’ll need to have been registered with the Registry of Italians Living Abroad - or AIRE - for at least the previous five years, although exceptions apply. For example, the Italian Revenue Agency released some instructions for those who were never registered with AIRE, but actually lived and resided abroad for tax purposes." The 7% flat tax is a program for foreigners and it lasts for nine tax years in total. Taxes vary throughout Italy, and that's why the 7% flat tax regions are so attractive. Here is some additional information from a website we reference often (link to website below): "Folks can benefit from the tax break whether they're a foreign national or an Italian citizen living abroad. The 7% tax rate does not apply only to pension income. If you meet the requirements, you can take advantage of a flat rate personal income tax of 7% on all your foreign earnings of any nature." Those regions are: •Sicily •Calabria •Sardinia •Campania •Basilicata •Abruzzo •Molise •Puglia In addition, some towns in Lazio, Marche and Umbria can also qualify. You can only choose a town with no more than 20,000 inhabitants. If the population of your town grows over 20,000 after you register as a resident, this will not prevent you from continuing to enjoy the 7% tax program until its natural term. Hello you two. That 25,000 euro apartment in San Martino. I bought it. I saw it on a real estate UA-cam site then was looking up Abruzzo info and saw it on your site. SO COOL it's a one bedroom and that cute brick small room is storage and the attic is big can be made into another space. It's an amazingly clean town of 800 people. With wine trails next to the apartment. 20 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes to Chieti. Thanx for featuring it for some more photos. Hi Severo👋🏼 We are well, hope you are too! Yes, you can tax advantage of the 7% flat tax scheme as an Italian citizen living abroad but there are criteria that have to be met in order to participate. Below is some info about the program from a website we reference often, along with a link to the site...
"Any retiree can apply, both Italian and non-Italian, as long as you meet the criteria set out by the law:
You must not have been an Italian tax resident for any of the past five tax years. This means that if, for example, you have already lived in Italy for a few years, you cannot move to one of the eligible small southern towns just to benefit from this tax cut to your foreign pension.
You draw a pension outside Italy. You qualify even if you do not have a traditional pension but rather receive money as “Substantial Equal Periodic Payments” (SEPP), for example from a 401K or IRA. And, you qualify even if you have a job, as far as you also collect a pension.
You are currently a resident in a country that has tax agreements with Italy. The list includes the EU countries, Canada, Japan, Russia, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
You move to an Italian village included in one of the categories designated by the law for this specific tax incentive (read below for more information).
For Italians living abroad, you’ll need to have been registered with the Registry of Italians Living Abroad - or AIRE - for at least the previous five years, although exceptions apply. For example, the Italian Revenue Agency released some instructions for those who were never registered with AIRE, but actually lived and resided abroad for tax purposes."
The 7% flat tax is a program for foreigners and it lasts for nine tax years in total. Taxes vary throughout Italy, and that's why the 7% flat tax regions are so attractive. Here is some additional information from a website we reference often (link to website below): "Folks can benefit from the tax break whether they're a foreign national or an Italian citizen living abroad. The 7% tax rate does not apply only to pension income. If you meet the requirements, you can take advantage of a flat rate personal income tax of 7% on all your foreign earnings of any nature." Those regions are:
•Sicily
•Calabria
•Sardinia
•Campania
•Basilicata
•Abruzzo
•Molise
•Puglia
In addition, some towns in Lazio, Marche and Umbria can also qualify. You can only choose a town with no more than 20,000 inhabitants. If the population of your town grows over 20,000 after you register as a resident, this will not prevent you from continuing to enjoy the 7% tax program until its natural term. This would include a town with a low-population (

Remember the italian farmacista can prescribe medications in most “basic” cases so often no doctor visit is necessary. My son has pinkeye when we were on vacation and we walked into the pharmacy and bought the medicine that we spent $80 for in America for €3. No doctor needed 😆😆
