Persistent Plasma actually works well when combined with the Sludge Pump and the Disperser Compound OC. You shoot a pile of sludge on the floor, then fire a charged shot at it with the EPC (with the Burning Nightmare Tier 5 mod). Not only will that instantly light the sludge on fire, but the lingering plasma will maximize the DoT. This is actually very effective for killing larger bugs; including Bulk Detonators. It wouldn't work too good against Dreadnaughts, though. They can be slowed down a little bit, but not long enough to make the tactic worthwhile.
energy rerouting is my go-to for thin containment field related shenanigans. extra ammo and super fast charge rate and you dont sacrifice cooling speed. much more useful than running heatpipe for the same purpose
Yeah that charge speed is soo nice, but honestly Persistent plasma is just too good to pass up on though. It does so much damage it’s insane. There’s no downside either since it doesn’t harm TCF in anyway. Once you get used to the normal 22222 persistent plasma build it’s hard to give it up. It’s just free damage
i have a few things to mention. 1. ag mixture works very well for industrial esp missions. i suggest taking it with the single dmg mod in tier 2. there are few hordes, but there are a lot of turrets, and staying distant from the caretaker means more ability to avoid dmg. 2. for gamma and blistering necrosis, i strongly suggest using all wide lenses. the wave cooker is an area of effect weapon, but the status effects are based on each bug in the horde. this means the more of a horde that is within the lens, the better the overclocks will perform. this is even greater when boiler ray is active, especially with blistering necrosis against a horde. people don't usually think of it with hordes. 3. with heat pipe, also adding overcharger in there as well, you gain more value when using it with burning nightmare and cryocannon. the reason for this is that the epc gains a 3x dmg modifier from temp shock. this works with both standard shots and charged shots. it is possible to almost 1 tap a haz 5 praetorean with the overcharger charged temp shock because of this. 4. snowball will flash freeze mactera, and gives great range for wave cookers thermal shock. 5. face melter or sludge blast should be used for dread missions, where hordes are not much of an issues, but only the dreadnaughts.
I agree with the Radioactive overclock for Colette. Debuff over debuff over debuff combined with Sludge Pump and Toxin Grenade. It's also fun to use the slow mods in tandem with all of this. Suddenly any large threat like a detonator slows down to a snail's pace and becomes a punching bag for the rest of the team.
Awesome video! One thing I wanted to let you know of is that when you were talking about the AG Mixture overclock with the Sludge Pump, you were showing gameplay using the Sludge Blast OC instead.
Love these lists, everyone does top 10 Best but Ron answers the important questions like what's the most fun. Personally love goo bomber special and sticky fuel built for max burn time lol
I like Heat Pipe with the heat-ball-wave tier 5 with bigger aoe size tier 4 and the instant charge. It's still only 6 ammo and it charges in like .5 seconds for a ball of fire. You can instant ignite most enemies including goo bombers and then tempshock from the easier threshold of ignite into a small tap of cryo cannon(only needs like 5-10 other temp to shock them) and then repeat.
the epc gets a 3x dmg multiplier for temp shock when using the burning nightmare mod, both charged and non charged. it is possible to almost one tap a haz 5 praetorean with it provided that you are using overcharger.
I like this series, it's straighforward and encourages me to try OC's I wouldn't normally. As my beard has begun graying (just hit lvl 100) I've become good enough to play challenging missions without "optimal" builds, so it's helpful to see what some of the fun ones are
I'd love to see a air burst overclock (think pyro from tf2) that allows the flamethrower to push enemies back a couple metres or lift the driller up when pointed at the floor. I think the driller deserves some form of movement overclock like scout and engi have
Explosive Reload on the Subata made me actually like the Subata. I don't know what possessed me to try it, but I laughed the first time I killed a group of grunts with the explosion.
How do you run Heat Pipe? They changed it a while back so that my build overheats as soon as I get a charged shot off. Great video once again, keep up the great work!
Radiation OC is really fun! Really murders bugs in conjunction with sludge pump. Such a shame the game is on the verge of unplayable in its current state though.
@@jacobconnell7191 Rng really has gone to shits. Some of the enemy swarm spawning right at the start or just stupid in its constellation. You spawn. You die. Also some of the new enemy design are just super lazy and completely broken. Stingtails is a good example of how NOT to design an enemy for a game like for instance. Apart from the oc changes this entire season just seem rushed, unbalanced and very unpolished. I would expect this crappy implementation from Devs like wargaming but not this one. Good thing though is that finally pushed to towards trying other games for a while.
Both are good if you want more burst damage Jumbo shells is really good at any range. Double Barrel is awesome for crowd clear at close range and good burst at close range. I switch back and forth between them.

Yeah that is awesome, I like that it also slows everything down. So you can stack the two of even 3 if you want to add neurotoxin too.

Energy Rerouting is a great overclock that works however you want to build it.

Really, I swear I had to re record the AG mixture. I guess I screw that up lol.

That would be a cool overclock to play with.

Explosive Reload on the Subata made me actually like the Subata. I don't know what possessed me to try it, but I laughed the first time I killed a group of grunts with the explosion.
Yeah that one has always been a really strong overclock for the Subata.
the red OC explosive reload one, for the Subata , is also really fun

Thanks, I usually run it as all 2,1,2,2,2. The timing is weird to get used to at the start.
