I just made this for a friend and didn’t realize the tutorial was a baby sized version so I followed along and tried it on… hilariously too small lmao!😂 still a wonderful pattern that I’m going to make again and again for myself and all my friends! Thank you!
I've made my own version of this hat many times, but it was YEARS ago. Thank you for the tutorial! I couldn't remember how to do the decreases, and this was very helpful.
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos you have such a wonderful inviting person. Thank you for sharing your beautiful designs I love your work I can’t wait to finish my newborn hair
@@janinepedersenfamily3071 I just finished this hat for a small adult head and I did 20chains for the ribbing and 60 rows, but if you want to go up a size I would recommend doing 80rows. I hope that helps, have fun crocheting🫶🏼
Love this hat and so easy to crochet! I see Christmas gifts this year! Quick question: to make a matching scarf, can probably use a similar format, worth a try…unless you have a free pattern for it 😊
I am excited to try this pattern!! Question - I would love to purchase stuff through your Amazon store but everything is noted to be shipped to Canada with a shipping fee. I was excited because as a Canadian, I thought there would be Canadian supplies listed or products from Canada. Why is that?
New to crocheting and love this hat’s look however it’s hard to see the space you out the hook in because the yarn and your hook look so similar! My stitches around the ribbing I think aren’t correct because my puff stitches make the hat look like they’re wider than the ribbed portion of the brim. Is that wrong?
Same thing happened to me but i used a very similar yarn as she did. I had to adjust the brim part because it was smaller than hers when you measure it with a measuring tape like she did and I think it gave me too many puffs. Looks more for like a 0-3mon size and I was hoping it would be for a newborn size. Im going to try it again.
@@Soy_tatilicious yes, I’ve made several hats with this pattern, I just had to adjust the band part- make it a little bit bigger . I still am trying to figure out the size gauging thing, like rows to inches
@@cassturr yes I’m still relatively new at crocheting. I usually just get like the measurement of the circumference of an adults head or child and just make it as long then connect and adjust. I think for this pattern you do even numbers so that’s what I’m going to do so I can make a newborn size hat. I’m not there yet to read a pattern so I like to watch videos and follow along.
Just out of curiosity, what happens when you crochet a puff stitch on top of another puff stitch? I noticed the stitch is done in sort of like a brick style. I crochet a little bit but I’m more of a knitter than a crocheter.

Un grand merci❤❤
Thank you 🙏❤️🌹
Could you make a video for the adult size, or give more information on how to do it?
Yes please. I would just like to know how many chains to do for the band in the adult size
I'm thinking yiu would have to put the band around your head maybe 26 stiches total of 27 and go from there. Just a thought.

Lovely pattern and great video tutorial. I really like your hook. I’ve never seen one like that. Is it ergonomic?
Hi MJ beautiful hats! Could you talk about the different labels/tags best to use with crochet items?
This is beautiful. I am new to crocheting. Could someone recommend a yarn similar i could buy at popular craft stores.
For baby hat I think I’d avoid rivets in case they come off. Better to see maybe?
Lovely hat. Will make an adult one
It is always best to hammer the rivets so that they don’t come off. For baby size you can always just sow them on.

How do uou know how many stitches to use for bigger yarn?
I am excited to try this pattern!!

I am working on setting up a Canadian Amazon storefront. It will be linked once it is done.
I wanna make this for my 1 and 4 year old how long does the brim need to be
24 Kasım 2022 Ankara 🖤❤️💙🧡💜💛💚
Where is the other pattern for the other sizes x
They're on her blog page ❤
What if my band only measures 13.5”, and it’s should measure 15” for the adult size?
You probably need to use a larger hook.
@@mjsoffthehook mine came out to 4.25" x 13.5" so if I redo it on a larger hook, should I use a larger hook for the body of the hat as well?

am I imagining things or there's no size information for the bigger ones and I watched the whole video for nothing ?
Same
It’s on her blog.
They're all on the paid pattern. 😊
@@charlottepage9587 idk if it’s bc I made an account but I pay nothing and have access to the written pattern
Would two poms work?
Does anyone know the size chart for this hat. I tried to buy the pattern but I am in canada so I can not
MJ I just made this hat using white lion brand yarn, size 4. Mine is all scrunched up at the top, did I tie it too tight when closing the top?

How do we
Know
What is the right side and wrong side
This is for a toddler?
I bought this pattern recently from you. Would you happen to know where I can buy a single faux fur pompom from?
I don’t know where you would get an individual pompom. I buy the bags of them from Amazon.
I get individual ones from JoAnn Fabric. They range from 2.99 to 5.99
Did you make pdf/tutorial for the sweater you were wearing in the photos?
I have a video for the crop version. The pattern includes the long version of the Lakeside Cardigan
@@mjsoffthehook thank you! I will check your website for the pattern.
