- When firms go global they have multiple options, they can export from their home market, they can develop relationships with local firms and start up franchises or joint ventures, they also can direct invest in their new market. Each one has their own benefits and cons. Here we look at each one to see what could be the right way for a company to go abroad.

Most of my experience has been with *_Value-Added Resellers_* and distributors.
VARs are perfect when you engage with a professional, ethical and committed partner.
-They know their country.
-They may have an existing client base.
-Contracts require minimum level or annual sales but there is no limit. 👍
-Contracts require regular marketing and advertising consistent with vendor.
-VARs manage all implementation as well as customer service. 👍
-They may assist with entering other regional markets.
-One VAR is so exceptional, we run everything by him before final release of new products. (How about that?)
Seems like all upside but there are many potential negatives as well. *_Love this channel, Mark._*
