What a guy Sir Jackie is, i have followed him from the "Starshot" days. A true gentleman and a great ambassador for clay shooting and motor sport.

Interesting to have come across this on UA-cam. I’m a petrolhead but brought up on a farm & did a lot of field shooting with both shotguns & rifle. My Uncle, William,(Bill), Allan was the Captain of Scotland’s Clays Team & Jackie was in the team at that time. I kno that Jackie has a team photo with himself & Bill side by side, does anyone out there know where I could get a copy of this photograph? Bills Dad was also a pretty good shot & was a reserve in the Olympics that was pre War. Bill was a farmer but also a professional goalkeeper who played for Dunfermline Athletic amongst others. I don’t kno if Jackie has any memories of him but he was a great, larger than life character, sadly he has long passed over.

The guy with the boxes of cartridges must have been a baby if not even born with Jackie Stewart was racing professionally. Man, Jackie Stewart ' def old enough to remember watch him on the TV as a kid. in the early 70's .Good thing he did there as i worked as scientist for some years in Dementia research.

I also remember watching sir Jackie in Chester, (North Wales shooting school as its know now,) about a 20 min drive for me, they were great days, always looked forward to dad taking us down there, and seeing the famous and the royals as well like princess Margaret and a few others, star shot was great. Spent a lot of time at that shooting ground as a kid, born 1966,great memories, thanks for bringing it up 🙏

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Jackie Stewart 30-40 years ago at Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base in California.
He was filming a DTL trapshooting video. He is truly a very genuine and kind man. Also he’s a pretty darn good shot!!!!!!!!!!!

I shot alongside Jackie at an Olympic Trap event in the Mid 80's held at a ground called Sealand just inside North Wales. He beat me but his gun inspired me to get one which I eventually did. It was a side lock Beretta SO4. Very approachable chap. Regarding this video, I am not that impressed with the guys wandering around with unbroken shot guns at 3:45 & 3:58

Indeed - A cardinal sin but no-one batted an eyelid. Says more about the surrounding people than the one holding the gun(s).
