you need 4gold or food per second. one bank makes 2.75g/sec and 2 vils give 1.38g/sec so 1 bank+2vils should be enough for vil production. with 2 banks you have 5.5 gold per sec and you are set. 2 tcs need 8 gold and 3 banks give 8.25 gold. 3 tcs need 12g/per sec and 4 banks give 11g/sec 5 banks give 13.75sec
Ive played an ugodly amount of hours of aoe3 but only knew how to have tight macro as dutch doing infantry openings that was locked and people could exploit. Watching this already helped me be a bit more flexible in openings. Vids like this help me still grow and learn in aoe3. Thanks solider!
I have not tried that in recent games. Banks give so much XP that a TP doesn't significantly factor into the shipment rate until later in the game, you can keep pretty constant shipment flow with just building banks.
Big fan here, I have a third option that I think is more viable according to the current meta.... Summary: Up with Halbs, make a bank in the transition, then put 10 vills in gold and the rest in food, 700w, Immediately a house, if you manage to make the house in time (it's possible) you will get a complete package of 5 skimers\halbs, then wagon bank, 3 cav (enemy will do light inf), 600w, 700f and always doing army\house. With this order I can build an army and grow economically. What is your opinion?
That's sounds pretty cool. It can definitely catch people off guard. I'm not sure it can be the standard strategy, since it would struggle once people scout and make some ranged inf to defend while they likely take a lead in eco. I think it's really a solid build vs otto and some other lower eco civs that dutch doesn't need to out-boom with a lot of banks.
@@SoldieRaoe Exactly what happens, some enemies will ranged inf and who would have thought, 3 cav never made as much difference as it currently does haha ofc are not enough so I prioritize, banks and age. If the opponent goes for economics I will open the market, but there are so many Mexicans, Ottomans and Spanish that it almost became standard haha I forgot to mention some details: I send 700f and 600f to compensate for units and banks, the wood that is missing for the 5 banks I buy on the market up to a maximum of 140g per 100w. I would love to see this strategy executed by a good player like you. tnks for the content.
@@SoldieRaoe It was the inspiration for my comment. I believe that if we had already talked about these before (Ex.: 700w instead of Bank Wagon) could have won more easily. The only thing I know for sure is that you can make it really strong.
That is definitely one of the tougher matchups. I've had some success with 3 Bank ff, 1st in transition to age 2, 2nd off 400w age up, and 3rd as bank wagon. Card order of bank wagon, 700c. I also think 8 pike shipment to kill tower is good, maybe even as first shipment age 2. And I think the halb age up is possibly the best at the moment. I do not have a discord, but thought about making one, I wondered if people would enjoy that and join.

Dutch still sucks in this game. It doesn't matter too much what you do in a 1v1 to start of your game. You always get rushed before 10min thats just a given fact. You either pull through or you lose. Its always about being rushed, and generally speaking i feel like the game is very unbalanced. How do you guys even enjoy this game for months on end? Its just a mess of who exploits game mechanics the most imo
