i spent the better part of 2021 reading dramione fanfictions and since then, i have read more than 300 stories, so i decided to make a youtube channel to share with you all my thoughts & two cents, not only on fan works but also on books and reading in general.

✌🏻 hello, hello - my name is v (yup, just like the letter) and here i share with you the things i read, you know, just this and that ❀◕ ‿ ◕❀. i am currently a graduate student in the u.s., but i was born and raised in vietnam.
Have you read Green Light by SereneMusafir on Ao3? It is a Dramione that is in my god-tier fics list (and I have extremely high standards for fics, seriously). The angst and slow burn put together had me DEAD. Detraquee is also up there, along with the gorgeous Bloody, Slutty and Pathetic of course. Dare I say all three of these are better than the most popular Dramione fics (BATMOBILE, Manacled etc)

@@ireadthisandthat Please do!! These Ties That Bind by eurhythmix on AO3 is one that I recently finished and it’s definitely on par with Green Light too - honestly I’m getting spoilt with all these good fics recently 😂
Bloody, slutty and pathetic was my first WIP and thank goodness the author posted every week. It is in my top 3, SUCH an amazing story, character building, banter, etc. So funny, so smartly written, with moments of gut wrenching emotion. I hope the author keeps writing, I’d read her shopping lists (honestly!!!)

Well as someone who has summers off you just gave me so many more books to read! Almost finished with Measure of a Man which has taken me like 2 weeks to get through. Loving it! Happy reading this summer and have a great trip!

My goodness, you have been busy! Quite a treasure trove, most of which are new to me. Couple remarks:
1-Ladyhawke is my all-time favorite movie. I highly recommend watching it if you can find it. One of my favorite things about the movie is that the lovers’ story is presented through the perception and experiences of a third character (played by Matthew Broderick)-he’s quirky, funny, and very reluctantly dragged into their saga. I’ll be curious whether this fic will portray that aspect of the story from the movie? Also, I have a fic on my to-read list: the fox and his boy by rufferto-haven’t read it yet but when I do it would be my first outside the HP fandom (it is specifically in the “ladyhawke” fandom) fingers crossed?
2-re Pride and Prejudice-when I recently re-read the book, I was shocked at how closely the A&E version (1995 with Jennifer Ehle) matches word-for-word to the original text. So it’s a good alternative to reading the book in my opinion.

Ohhh can’t wait to check these out! How long do you usually read of a story before you decide to not continue it?> I;ve been been very brutal with how long I read something before I call it quits this past month and Now I’m wondering what others do. Back in the day I would try at least a good amount of chapters before deciding to not continue reading it but I feel I’m in my DNF era. Maybe a future video idea - “Dramione icks”. Things that make you stop reading Dramione stories. My is definitely when they call each other by first names too quickly, Malfoy being too sweet too quick (I need some chapters of an angsty/bad Malfoy before I can accept his sweet side 😅
