@@notesofalisha yeah, right? ‘Cause fics always SAY they were rivals but racking my brain to recall which fics actually SHOW them being rivals, especially academic rivals, like being really competitive and sabotaging each other and so forth-you’d think that would be prevalent, but I’m scratching my brain. Not a perfect fit, but Paradox by olivieblake feels pretty “rival-y” to me, and there’s also that one where they are in a marriage law where they are having kind of a rivalry in trying to outdo one another in schemes to kill each other-V has recommended that one before, can’t recall the name.

Yes, @jessicafrog is correct-it is “locked” on ao3 so you can’t see it if you are not logged in as a user. Even then sometimes I have trouble finding a locked work-if that happens, I usually have good luck if I go to the author first (in ao3) and then find the work in their list. Little trick: after you go to the author, change the filter/sort to by title, then you can find the work you want alphabetically.
