  • Hey friends! This week we are visiting Karijini National Park - this place absolutely blew us away. If you're travelling Australia (in a van, or any which way) make sure you add Karijini to your MUST SEE list.
    You don't need a 4x4 to visit Karijini National Park, even though some of the roads are pretty awful in terms of corrugations.
    In this episode we visit FIVE of the gorges in Karijini, Dales, Joffre, Knox, Hancock and Hamersley Gorge. We hike, we swim, and we wonder at the natural beauty of this special place.
    We hope you enjoy this film as much as we enjoyed making it.
    Please consider subscribing to our channel, it really helps us out!
    WHO ARE WE?
    We are Nigel and Sue (NaS) Adventures, a couple of outdoor adventurers. We've been Overlanding Australia living in our self-converted 4x4 Sprinter van since January 2021. Join us as we visit the highlights, but also share some off the beaten path hidden gems, along with the day to day realities of living in a van.

    Another great video. Some nice editing too. Some really amazing places to visit. Considering I’m unlikely to ever get there myself it’s lovely to visit through your videos. We live Dahl but never have rice with it. We always try to have garlic naan. Have you tried making your own flat bread? Very easy to make. Yellow Dahl is one of our favourites. Thanks for the video. 🤗💖

      No we haven’t tried making it. Is it just flour and yoghurt?

    • @LynneCarey
      @LynneCarey Рік тому

      @@nigelandsueadventures no yoghurt needed to make it. Just flour, salt and water I’m pretty sure. It’s a while since I’ve made it. Knead it a little like a soft bread dough. Then roll into balls, roll out thin and flat. Fry in a pan with butter and or olive oil. You might even want to try adding some crushed garlic and rolling into one side. Fry both sides. Google how to make Roti. You might find a proper recipe instead of one I just made up. 😂

    We had it all to ourselves when we were there but I want game to swim in the fern pool cos I wasn’t sure if there were any freshies in there and I couldn’t see the bottom. I think we stayed the night in the park but my memory may not be correct. It is another of Australia’s magic spots. Thanks got taking me back. No infrastructure when we were there, just natural….. our camp site was nestled among the trees. that Joffre gorge was slendiferous!!!!! Spectacular!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!! What a nonchalant goanna at Knox Gorge !!! Well done on another epic video ( love the floating helmet videos. You fellas are classic), gave me a good laugh. Stay safe🐸

    So love Karijini been 3 times and heading there next year. What type of drone do you recommend ❤

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  Рік тому

      You can’t legally use a drone in the park. Our drone shots are from just outside. We have a Mavic Mini, if I was buying a new one I’d get a Mavic mini 3, which shoots portrait orientation too

    Many of the gorges get little or no direct sunlight and are some of the coldest water I've ever been in.
