I've just finished restoring one in the UK. It was originaly based in Kansas. I've received my registration paperwork and now need to put some miles on the rebuilt engine.
Thanks for the sound memories, I miss my 350. I had lots of fun on it. They were great street or trail. If we could just go back in time again. I took the baffle out of mine too,it sounded so much better.
I had one. 350 two stroke rotary valve. I have always been and still am an avid off road biker I absolutely miss this bike it is probably my favourite bike I have ever owned
In the 70s, an enterprising California racer took the 500 Kawasaki triple out of his road racer and installed a 350 bighorn single with a factory hop up kit. This was to take advantage of a rule change that put 350 singles and 250 twins in the same racing class. This combination won some races.
Awesome video. Good to see the old ones in running condition. Anyone looking for parts for this bike? I have one in barn find condition that Ivintended to get going, but lost interest. 1974 F9 Bighorn
@@Warhorse1990 I finished my 1974 F9B a year ago and have been restoring a 1969 F4 'sidewinder' since then. I found the F9 did'nt like modern fuel and I had to go up a couple of jet sizes to make it run cleanly so please be aware.
also...bike sounds like its doing the smae thing mine does..... it doesnt like anything past 1/2 throttle till it gets nice and warm. it kinda...studders and wont rev any higher. probably a bit to rich on the jetting...but it doesnt foul plugs... one cure...turn the idle speed WAY up for about 30 seconds...should "clean it out" ya...BAAAAA sput spit cough cough *shift* BAAAAAAAA spit spit cough that bike has a LOT of rev still to go

I bought one with 700 miles on it when I was 13 years old. A little big for a kid that size, but I loved it. RING DING DING!
A beautifull machine you had, sir! Dual sport bikes will never look that cool again.

I am. I have a 74 big horn I’m fixing up right now. Where are you located?
Aaron Socha - Aaron I sold the bike and parts 3 weeks ago and hadn’t had a chance to update yet. Was in the northern Kentucky area.
