I started riding motorcycles when I was 12 and stopped at 23 this was the second bike I owned . I liked it more than my Kawasaki ninja and FJ 1200. It Is the best first starter bike!
Kawasaki has always made top notch quality. Been riding them since 1976. These bikes love Bel-Ray S-I-7 injector oil. Makes them run great with almost no smoke.
Bought one of these for a couple hundred bucks last year, to run around in the sand dunes. Was shocked at how fast this little bike is. Its nearly a mini bike but itll do 70!
So I know this bike must be long gone, but you took the time to address the rust in the tank then you used JB Weld instead of welding the tank to permanently fix? Also you put another set of old tires on that bike? For a shop that is shoddy work. It needed a proper fix on the tank and new production tires. Doesn’t matter in the slightest how many miles were on them, the age was the problem
I just purchased an old (labeled 10/76) Kawasaki very similar to this one. It has the numbers 107576 and K1-050249. Can you help me identify it. I know nothing about fixing bikes but this is gonna be a learning project for me. I need to get my hands on a manual or something that will help me tear it apart. Any suggestions?
I've got one just like this 1975 (year of manufacture, 1976 sold) Kawasaki ke175. Oh, there's only one difference. Mine is in much better condition and is better in every single other way for one reason ( it's mine and it has its baffle in it) ;D
I had one of these and what a great bike. Rode for 15 years and gave it away.
I had one loved it, my first car made it lose seat time with me. But these little dirt bikes gave me teenage freedom.

I was thinking about the same things as I watched this video. It gave the impression of a shyster operation.
makes me miss my 1980, that tried to kill me when the throttle cable frayed and got stuck on WOT. ahh memories
this was my first motorcycle, though I think I had a 1975 version

Is this a good starter bike and can I take it off road? I live outside Portland Maine and am looking for a first bike.
Yes it's a duel. It will go in the woods fine. It's a street and trail..
