Hey Kevin, just wanted to tell you I had the heat shield kit installed on my Panigale V4 S here in Oklahoma City at the Ducati dealership and the kit has definitely made a difference! I gave the dealership positive feedback so they can inform their customers about it! Thank you for inventing this! Wonderful!
So happy to hear that man! Glad you're enjoying the kit. I was definitely impressed with how much it improved the comfort. If you could leave a review on the site, it would be so appreciated! ducatispacers.com/collections/heat-shield-kits/products/panigale-v4-streetfighter-v4-heat-shield-kit
Hi, how long did the dealership take to install it? I wanted to install it in munich but the dealer said to lift the tank they would need extra 4 hours and the screws could break. Even in the instruction it was said about breaking the screws...
@@Basti2727 I think it took them 3 hours to do it. I was going to do it myself but there are some bolts that can strip easily so I let them do it just in case they needed new bolts.
I live in Australia & in the summer can be riding in up to 45 degrees c (113F) on my streetfighter v4. Sure you feel it but only when stuck at the lights or in slow moving traffic, with the rear cylinder deactivation I don't find it an issue, maybe worse on the panegale with more enclosed bodywork
Older version of the "Air Flux" mesh jacket which I'm sure is discontinued by now. Love it, but you need to add a back protector to make it fully protective!
Sounds great, the only thing that makes me doubt is if using this will make the engine to be at a higher temperature, this pieces are dissipating the heat and if you cover them it won’t let it go, like an oven, am I wrong?
The bike is designed to dissipate heat internally through its circulating coolant and radiators, not to dissipate it to your legs! These have been tested by thousands of riders, including track days in the desert heat- no issues with overheating!
Once the fuel tank is lifted, you have access to the three bolts that hold the engine covers on, but they're pretty tricky to reach! In terms of the installing the heat shield kit, we recommend loosening the subframe bolts, just to give yourself more room to work and to extract the covers.
They've been for sale on our site nearly a year now! This video was posted in May 2021 😆ducatispacers.com/collections/heat-shield-kits/products/panigale-v4-streetfighter-v4-heat-shield-kit
@@DucatiSpacers i feel dumb now. 😜thanks Kevin, I'm on it brother, I'm sure they will work as good as the spacers did, I'll keep you updated. Hope you have an amazing weekend Kevin.
These look really good. I live in Australia and the heat definitely builds up quickly no matter what type of riding I do. Generally every time I park it the fans blast for a good minute or two. When the fan kicks in does this kit still keep heat away from the body while letting it vent out the back properly?
Sure, the kit doesn't block any passages through which air could flow, it's just a thin layer adhered to the inside of the bodywork! But anyway, the fans aren't kicking in to vent air out the back, they're to force air through the radiator to cool the bike via the circulating coolant! The heat shields definitely don't stop the bike from cooling itself as designed, they just block some radiant heat from reaching your legs and man parts!
I got a 1199R . It to, gets pretty hot, but mostly at a stop. Don't know what he's talking about when he says going interstate is still uncomfortably hot. I hardly feel the heat, going 60mph or more, due to the wind. And hell I live in fla.
The situation is a little different on the V4! I've owned them all over the years. At stoplights, the bike deactivates two cylinders and isn't as bad as the older bikes. The worst, in my experience, is cruising along at constant (reasonable) speed, the bike just dumps heat onto your legs and thighs.

@@DucatiSpacers The easy part is getting the tank off. Those locktite 2.5 mm hex bolts in the subframe are a superbitch. Any tips? I think I broke the head of the hex tool inside one. I could slot some of the bolts, but 1 or two are in very tight locations. How are you guys managing this?
@@spin_kick I was super careful with them and I only had one I had to slot, and there was plenty of clearance to get a regular flathead in there to remove it! If you can't fit a screwdriver in, maybe a drill with a long-enough extension to come in from outside the bike on the opposite side?

Bravo Kevin, thank you for helping us all out, I absolutely love your work
Of course! It's seriously my pleasure 👍🏻
Yeah, the heat maps and numbers were 25C + difference 😛
How about the engine ice(coolant)and flashing your ecu(turning the fan early)? Make difference?

Agreed, SFV4 isn't nearly as bad as the PV4! Though we have had some requests for both.
I filter to work on my SFV4S quite a lot and the heat has been a real issue for me, but is not as bad as a Pani
Aussie PV4 here, the kit is an absolute must. Completely unridable after 15 minutes in 30c+ heat
