Great video!!! I am loving all the Uneekor Eye Mini videos!! I know you mentioned in the video you weren’t getting club data on Refine….I had this happen to me and in the lower right hand corner by the picture of the ball it will say club sticker off….if you go to settings (I think it’s there) you can turn club sticker “on” and it will start giving you club data. Good luck on the course and keep the fantastic videos coming!!! 👍👍👍
Thanks mate! Really appreciate that comment. It's just not quite there is it... the actual physics aren't bad tbh.. but GS Pro is just sooooooo good and you get so much for your money.
Joe, another great video… I don’t have a PC capable of running GSpro so refine is going to be quite literally a game saver. One thing I learned today was if you’re NOT directly connected to the MINI via an ethernet cable both your PC and your iPad can connect to the mini at the same time. I found this useful as a second screen for View and the impact photography. HOWEVER, I was surprised to see that the view software on the PC and the iPad showed different results for calculated data. Refine won’t run on the iPad so you only have the driving range if you are without a. PC. I have to say it’s rather disconcerting t see the inconsistency that UNEEKOR has allowed to slip into their software. It raises a lot of questions in my mind especially after I spent about an hour hitting chip shots on the range. During that time I would say I had probably 10% screwball reads on spin that I believe would be physically impossible to attain. I wish there was a way we could have a longer conversation and compare notes on results with the EYE MINI.
Hey sorry for the late reply! Oh wow I didn't know you could do the second screen!! I'll definitely check it out. Did you see my post in the Uneekor Eye Mini Facebook group? I've been having some really odd reads with mine. Massive slices and hooks with driver and over 5000rpm backspin. Definitely 100 percent mis reads. I'm going to schedule a phone call with support because I'm not too impressed at the moment. 😭
@@JLagGOLF 1st - about the iPad as a second screen, add the iPad after the PC is up and running it works better, but it may not be supported... now for the bad news. By doing this I discovered the 3 pieces of software from Uneekor that I can use View PC, Refine PC, View Air on iPad Pro (which by the way can be installed on an Apple Silicon Mac too) will return different data for the same shot. The data the Eye Mini measures is always reported the same across the apps but the calculated data - roll out, apex, trace shot shape, yards off-line can vary when results are presented after the shot. Not by a ton but they are still different which means they are not using the same algorithms - indicating poor software control. I captured screen images for proof. but can't post here. This is disconcerting, since Refine is going to be my only way to practice using simulation until I can get GSPro. I don't have a way to play GSPRO so I can't say anything about what the data looks like there. In View Air, View PC, and Refine I definitely see more side spin that I would expect based on my feel but I do not have your experience to guide me. I can't help but wonder if the ball matters as well. I use a low dimple count ball from CUT so perhaps that keeps my numbers lower. I do agree with you, the numbers versus impact on ball flight feel off - he said trying to be kind. For me, back spin seems under reported and side spin exaggerated. My numbers aren't what I remember on the Rapsodo when I used it for a bit. I don't know if it happens all the time and it seems to be parabolic in nature, meaning the affect the spin has seems to double or triple. How do I explain what I mean, (not a physicist so all this is made up) say if with every 100 rpms you get 2 yards off line at 200 rpms instead of 4 yards off line it becomes 6 yards off line. at 300 yards its 9 yards off line instead of 6. Hope you get my drift, the higher the spin the more extreme the hook or slice gets magnified. I get it, a bad slice or hook sort of behaves that way but the results here seem extreme. If GSPro is showing the same sort of shot shape then perhaps the problem is with the data. Please report back what you learn if/when you talk to Uneekor.
@JLagGOLF Oh, and I had the dots on the clubs, and Refine was setup to use the dots in the settings menu, it seems to default to off and must be set each time.
@@OMG-2 Thanks for the in depth reply! Yes I just wonder if the Uneekor algorithm is taking into account spin decay.. I'm definitely going to check out the different apps and see if the data is different for me. I'll have to go back and rewatch my video between the eye mini and Rapsodo because I seem to remember that the eye mini had more curve than the Rapsodo! In real life I don't really curve the ball too much either way... now in saying that indoors and outdoors swings can vary and I do think that my swing gets affected by swinging indoors! I have a lot more speed outside for instance.. I'll be doing a lot more testing between all my units. I plan on doing a driver specific test with all my units! I personally think that what we are seeing is exactly what we saw with the Rapsodo but to a lesser extent! I think the eye mini is still going through its release bugs and fixing phase.. I believe like we saw with the Rapsodo it will get better with updates. We just need the whole community to keep reporting their mis reads through!
@@JLagGOLF before you do another comparison you might want to wait until you talk with someone at Uneekor and ask if the Rapsodo dots are going to confuse the eye mini. I highly doubt they ever tested their unit with decorated balls, whether it be dots or look like a soccer ball or have team logos all over it. I know that the SkyTrak+ specifies a clean white ball for their metrics.
I would love that but unfortunately I don't have access to the mevo +.. I will try reach out to flightscope again but I won't hold my breath 🤣. I'm going to try compare it to Trackman but it won't be until around the new year maybe a little later
Hey mate so the offset is more of a software thing. I know GS Pro supports it so you can easily do it in the settings. Tbh I'm not sure about the refine software I haven't really used it a lot. Are you asking about the refine software? I can look into it if you like?
Hey mate so the free trial starts during the set up process.. when you follow the bouncing ball the licence activation is one of the steps. I'm not sure if you can delay it sorry... I didn't check just followed through.
Trouble mat I believe is a mat with different lies built in like rough on your mat and sand. I think it probably turns off the penalty in game. Would be a cool thing to review in the future, I need more rough practice!
It all depends on what you want to run... GS Pro do a good rundown on their website and have their minimum requirements on there. For me I'm not going anything below the RTX3060 if you want a good 1080p experience! I have a core i7 processor and an rtx3060 graphics card (16gb of ram) and I can get away pushing 4k to my projector but some courses put a bit of strain on the graphics card. But I really have to recommend my laptop... the Lenovo Legion 5i (i7 processor, RTX3060 graphics card, 16gm ram). It's not only powerful but the actual build quality is great too.

Thanks mate! Ahhhh ok yes! Cheers for that. I thought it was a user error!!
I just tested refine for the first time last week. You pretty much covered my same thoughts. Good video.
