    To head off any LS swap hating Rotary fans, Matt went to great lengths to make sure nothing on the RX-7 was irreversibly changed when doing the swap. You can drop the subframe and engine out of this and pop a 13B back in and you'd never know!

      I just pinned a comment to address this. Nothing on the car is permanently altered. A 13B can be swapped back in easily without anyone knowing it was gone. :)

    cool swap , i do love the 13b but the LS is a beast . i bet the thumping is bumpstops. my old slammed trucks were like that till i hacked them out. that was way before airbags lol fuck im old.

      Yeah I really like Matt's FD. We both love the 13b, but it has issues with overheating and passing smog in California and Matt wanted to have a reliable RX7 without having to do the whole under the table smog thing. He kept the rotary though and wants to pick up an FC to use as a race car eventually.

    There HAS to be an easier way to get that battery out. Seriously? XD
    Also had no idea the FD was 2 seater only in the US!
    I actually usually use a ratchet and forget my impact too, hah.
    Really enjoyed this vlog style vid from you, that car is a monster.
    Are you excited to try out your BC coils now? :D

      At the least I'd use a smaller battery, because... yeah. That's nuts.

      Yeah I'd probably go with a smaller battery. He just likes the red tops.

      Glad you liked it. Different kind of format for me, but I had fun shooting this. Yeah very excited about installing these on my SC now.

    are these the standard bc coils? not the extreme lows?
    also how much more lower can you go?

    • @FullySpooled
      @FullySpooled  4 роки тому

      These are the standard BC BR coils, not the extreme low version. The coilovers were set pretty close to the top of their range in this video, so they can go probably another 1-1.5" lower.

      thank you so much, i was talking to a bc employee, my spring rates will be 16k/14k so i was wondering what would be the best option to go, extreme lows are about 20mm lower than the standards, but with high spring rates, my suspension wont succumb as much as regular spring rates.

    Breaks and tires are not to playwith on that car. Bad breaks and tires will set you back 10-25,000 real quick

      Not everyone can afford Ohlins :) They are very nice though.
