      Take it slow. Try and study the manual to see what you want to do. If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask.
      Some setups you need to know:
      - REV or channel reversing, this will reverse the control so for example if your car turns in the opposite direction, you need to reverse channel 1.
      - EPA or end point, this limits the end of each side of the channel so you can limit the left and right turn separately and make the car turns equally to both sides.

      You can power the receiver from any channel. Power and ground are all connected across all channels. If channel 1 and 2 are occupied then you can use channel 3 or the last channel on your receiver so it's easier to plug and unplug.
      **Important!** Don't forget to remove the power cable (red wire) from the ESC if you plug the battery to the receiver directly. Also check if the voltage is applicable. If I remember correctly the receiver takes up to 10V so 2S or even 2S HV will be fine.

    I recently built a GLD with this as my radio. Works wonderfully. I am having a hard time with one thing however. I can’t seem to get my gyro (not the built in one) to function through the transmitter. It works when I manually change the gain, but it would be nice to get it set up on the remote. Are there any other settings you would recommend tweaking on the transmitter to make the GLD perform better? Thanks!

      Make sure the onboard gyro is off (green light) then set channel 3 to VR and plug the 1 wire plug from gyro to channel 3 and you should be able to adjust it on the transmitter. However, make sure you don't touch the dial accidentally.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 роки тому +1

      @@chadranney Front aluminium bulkhead. It doesn't have steering stopper (not that you need one in the first place) so the steering angle improves a bit and it also lower the front shock down so you don't have to pad the shock with as many clips.
      You'll have to get front aluminium shock tower as well because some holes on standard plastic shock tower won't fit the upgrade bulkhead.
      Another essential upgrade is caster adjustable plate.
      So, to me these 3 improve the car a lot and definitely worth the price.
      - Front aluminium bulkhead
      - Front shock tower (needed to use with new bulkhead)
      - Adjustable front caster mount

      @@efaracing4000 Again, it depends if it's drift car or touring (grip) car setup and track length. For drifting 2500KV is for small track under 2x2m, 3500KV is a universal standard and it's easy to gear up or gear down, for a large track like 5x5 and over I recommend 5500KV. As for touring you'd start at around 3500KV, it's easy to drive because it'll give out the power around a standard brushed motor. 5500KV is faster and versatile, 7500KV if you have long straight.

      @@BeaversHobby Hi again sir Beaver, on what application is a ball diff better or what kind of set up it is use for, AWD / RWD, drifting or touring?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 роки тому +1

      @@R-EVLMNKY Ball differential is a differential that can adjust the tension. It's more suitable for touring because you'll need to adjust how the car get the power down.
      For AWD drifting you'll need locked diff at the back and front one way at the front.
      For RWD drifting ball diff adjust it to open will allow easier slide control but will initiate a slide a bit harder. Tighter diff will get the power down easier and initiate a slide easier.

      - Servo: AFRC D1802MG
      - Motor: Surpass Rocket 1410 V2
      - ESC: DasMikro V3 or PN Racing V2
      - Battery: This is a stock WLtoys K989/284131 battery but if you are looking for an upgrade, check out GNB 2S 350mAh or 450mAh if you need a bigger one.

    Are you able to plug your own gyro in to it?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 роки тому

      Yes, of course. Just turn the onboard gyro off (3 clicks on the button) before using an external gyro. Well, it's off as default for the included receiver anyway.

    When I plug in my battery and turn on the radio, the motor won't initialize until I hold full throttle. On full throttle, it's stopped. At neutral, it's at half throttle, at reverse, it's full throttle. I've tried everything. HELP.

      Which ESC do you have? It sounds like you have a drone ESC.

    Will this bind with the stock esc from the wltoys k989? Did somebody test that?

      No it doesn't. I've tested that.
      Not just because it's different protocol but it uses different RF chip entirely.

    I still wondering, why did they not hide an antena inside and make this upper hole for fixing the camera or smartphone. Its so logic.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 роки тому +1

      I guess making the internal antenna is trickier than just carrying over the previous design. Personally I'd like them to make a flip antenna like Flysky GT5. That'd make this radio much more easier to carry.

      Definitely this. Get the current version which is V3.
      GT3C is really old now, the signal is not that strong or consistent. Build quality also much worse compared to RC4GS.
