Awesome video of the AT&T CL82313 DECT 6.0 Cordless Speakerphone Set of 2 with Digital Answering System & Caller ID on the base Jordan! The phone sounds similar to the CL82213 (which me, & almost used-to-be, Nik, the Phone Goat, have). I was hoping maybe to see the final checkout of this phone soon!
What's questionable about Panasonic? I think they have a fairly solid lineup. How has AT&T held up a good reputation? In a lot of the 900 to 5.8 era they exhibited most of the same issues as the vtechs (and some GEs)-failing screens, failing capacitors, range issues, poor internal design that hindered servicing, etc. I think some of the best AT&T cordless phones ever put out by them have been in the DECT 6 era. If you already used the telephones before filming this video, then this is not an "Initial Checkout" video. Oh the boost is what's questionable about Panasonic? I like how quickly it says Call From, although it's still an uncecessary phrase. Oh no, my computer is probably obsolete by now! Looks like the higher end models have banners, that's nice to see. A talking phone? Not a goose? Oh so it says Call From really fast, then everything else really slow. I was deceived... Panasonic did the screening thing much better, it automatically screens on all the handsets so you can hear it in each room. Another reason I don't think they're very questionable. Pretty awful speakerphone, reminds me of the DECT3380. Those EQ settings should be renamed Tinny 1 through 4. What was going on with the PTT? It kept cutting you off or something.
I've found any of their DECT 6 + models to be very glitchy, even well within the range.. Aside from the screen issues, I don't see anything wrong with AT&T that didn't effect other models.. Almost anything 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz isn't going to work well in a world saturated with WiFi.. I'm disappointed with the way it reads the callerID, there is way too much pause after it says 'Call from', if it's a lengthy name it runs into the next ring cycle.. The screening feature is worthless, the point of an answering machine is to capture calls when you're not there.. I don't want to be too harsh on the sound quality as it is coming through a VoIP line, but I've used plenty of other phones on the same line that sound better.. It's a little disappointing, especially with how much it's worked up that it has "HD Audio".. I've adjusted the EQ on real calls, I've actually used all 4 depending on the caller and they do make it sound much better.. I'm not sure, perhaps I was using it wrong.. Seemed to work fine towards the end..
The highest end, the TL series, doesn't have the ability to rename the handsets or base, and it seems like the CL series is on its way out unless this year is just an off-year for an update to that series. The newer low-end models (EL, DL, and DLP series) have a single "letters and numbers" row on top, a numbers row below that, and the status and clock on the bottom, which would make the inclusion of the feature useless as it is often covered up with missed calls or messages notifications. Panasonic has this problem too when there's a missed call and it isn't charging, but you can press OFF to clear that message. The reason the TL series lacks this is beyond me for such a fully-featured model with the high-quality buttons with the click feel, Connect-to-Cell, and full dot-matrix display.
Neat telephone Jordan. The only thing i dont really care for on it is the talking caller id voice. I think i like the panasonic talking caller id voice better. Which one do you like better?
Oops i thought this was a vtech telephone. It seems very very sinilar to one though. We have a blue vtech Dect 6 telephone with the same ringtones on it and everything The only thing it doesnt have on it is talking caller id

Why was Nik, the Phones Goat, almost not to be?
@@JordanU - Well, his version of the AT&T CL82213s were on their way out.
@@aarondunn1489 But what does that have to do with him?
@@JordanU - After showing the CL82213s, Nik said that they're on their way out because he was using them so much that the phones are going to die out.
I still am failing to see how that means Nik is on his way out..

15:29 It really should be that you can press it twice to delete. Select to confirm, any other button to cancel.
OK
I used to have this phone!
Thanks for letting me know.
The screen is not adjustable even though it looks like that. I have no idea why the cordless-only models dropped that feature.
OK
Cool video 👍
Thanks.

I had this phone but how did the “push to talk button work?
It broadcasts audio to the other handset(s).

What about it?
What where is the back of the phone?
12:12 Jordan what is the difference between tone and pulse?
They are two different methods of dialing out. Pulse imitates a rotary dial.
