AT&T and Vtech phones have 2 cell lists: active and paired. Paired lists all paired cell phones (usually up to 4 can be paired), but only 2 at a time can be designated as active devices.
Jordan, The AT&T EP5995, and the Uniden CLX-485 also has that feature. You can record a record a ringer with those too. The Panasonic KX-TG5561M also has that feature but it needs to connect to an audio jack (CD player, PC, etc.) because it doesn’t have the microphone.
Awesome video of the AT&T EP5632 5.8 GHz Cordless Telephone trio with Speakerphone & Digital (Digitan) Answering System, Jordan! I feel bad about the quality being so deplorable on this answering machine.
Looks like the iPad is not going to be as ideal of a recording solution as you first thought, the audio became almost a full second out of sync toward the end. That is a very nice set. The ringtone record quality is amazing for an individual handset, but yet the base unit answering still sounds like a piece of crap, that is truly unfathomable. Neat to see something so new with early 5.8 ringers.
I noticed that about the audio on some of the videos, I think it’s actually the iMovies that’s doing that as it wasn’t like that before editing. I was pleasantly surprised by the recording quality of the handset, it captured the voice very nicely. Haven’t tested it with a piece of music but I have high hopes for it. On the contrary, the answering machine’s audio quality is truly awful. The base audio in general leaves something be desired, even the speakerphone volume is less than that of the handsets.
It is, I will no longer be able to get service for this cellphone at the end of the year. I've been looking at the Kyocera one, that's probably what I'll get. There don't seem to be too many options anymore.
I really love the pictures it has on the phone they're really nice and I'm really surprised I don't think I never seen a VTech or at&t have a deregistration setting
Such a good looking set! I have NEVER seen a cordless home telephone with a color screen and I've seen A LOT! Do you happen to know the year of manufacture? If only it had the new reverted all caps logo! The only thing I've seen it on so far is one of their stand alone answering machines. In between the lower case and reverted upper case they just used the globe with no AT&T at all. How disappointing! PS watching this on my "new" AT&T CRT monitor is such a treat. Check it out here if you'd like! ibb.co/ZRs4npX Manufactured 1989 and came straight from AT&T's Hickory Ridge Conference Center in Lisle, Illinois!

The headphone jack method was superior. It didn’t sound that great from the mic.
This might be the best cordless phone system AT&T ever made...
It may have the most features, but they’ve certainly made better performing systems before.

Aaron, hello!
Now I'm imagining a whole bunch of geese running around yelling "Goose!" How similar are these to the vtech 5801?
Aside from a few of the sounds it makes, there’s really no similarities at all.
