    Nicely made video and she's the cutest most spirited thing, beautifully dressed, and one can see her natural ability to direct. But, man, they were hillarious, they didn't got anything! It's pure, well meant misinformation
    Most of the time it's like a moving selfie through well chosen places. The were strolling outside the historic (almost medieval) district of La Candelaria, by a high traffic avenue, watching XXth century buildings and thinking they were actually there. Then, by chance, they entered La Candelaria (easily identifiable: medieval romanic architecture, just one or two storey houses, clay roof tiles, narrow streets) and when they're right in the middle of it, they wonder: "will it still be La Candelaria?". The same with the tamal dish: "it kind of taste like a seasoned...I don't know" that was the whole explanation for the viewers (the waiter could have easily told them is chicken or pork meat whit carrots and other vegetables, surrounded by a soft corn dough, and magnificently cooked and tightly wrapped in plantain leaves, because it used to be a dish you could carry before the existence of lunch boxes), the Flank Steak Santa Fe (not typically colombian at all, I know the waiter, I used to live two blocks from there all my adult life), the lulo fruit flavour, everything.
    I was LMAO at the dumb guy and how misleading the whole video was. I was born and raised in Bogotá, like my parents, grand parents, great grand...and was amazed with what they said. Put a little effort on understanding where you are, and what you're actually gonna say (or don't say much). And try to show more of the places (not just your faces) people

    When in Bogota, dress in layers and pack an umbrella. Every single is all seasons rolled into one. You know is going to be freezing, raining, sunny and very hot. Following day the same.

      The climate is varied according to the region where it is located, Bogota is cold at 2,600 meters altitude and it rains often however there are days where the weather is favorable and sunny. Colombian Caribbean coast is very sunny and warm and between cities to visit Cartagena and Santa Marta my favorite. Medellin is the ideal climate, neither cold nor hot, finally in Colombia there is much to see from valleys, forests, snowy mountains, coasts, islands (San Andres and Providencia, are a magic) and costs decipher how wonderful their geography, recommend I was delighted. Greetings.

    It's so weird that people from other countries visit those places in Bogota. Nice areas are located very north-east. We usually say that we live in a "bubble" because life in those areas is VERY different from the places you guys visited, personally, most of us don't even know them.
    I think that says a lot about the gap between the rich and the poor in our country that's kind of sad tbh. Socioeconomic status is a very big thing here. Thanks for showing us a different side of our own city! It's very interesting and thought provoking.
    Next time you come make sure to visit, zona T, parque de la 93, zona g and usaquen! :)

      De lo que mencionas solo se salva Usaquen, la zona T es muy sobrevalorada mejores destinos son La Candelaria, Macarena o Teusaquillo, pero igual son gustos.

      I am using my Canon DSLR in Colombia and never had a problem with ladrones. But I keep it in a shopping bag and remove it just to take pictures. But there are safe places to using without worry, like restaurants, shopping malls, secured parks and turists streets and places where is a lot of police.

    Folks, I don't want to ruin the fun, but (and I'll probably be booed for this) you do have to be moderately alert while in Bogotá. It is NOT Geneva, Amsterdam or Toronto. Some parts can be unsafe. I know, I was born there.

    • @Storyvnow
      @Storyvnow  7 років тому +3

      Agreed Alberto! This goes for the other cities we visited in Colombia as well (and of course, here in Brazil too). In our matching blog post about Bogotá we do specifically mention about theft and not going out alone at night, however, as we were only there for a short period of time we didn't have long enough to make a proper judgement. Thank you for your comment :)

      Three days ago there was a gun shooting in Toronto shopping mall, like usually done by blacks. One black is dead. About 100 dead on Toronto streets every year. But it is safe if you stay in basement as houses have paper walls and will not protect you during shooting.

    did you like Cartagena more than bogota?

  • @rampar77
    @rampar77 6 років тому

    Don't know what country were you from but you were very brave. I am from the U.S. and have visited Bogota, Cali, and Cartagena in the past looking for a wife. However, I always stayed in a 4/5 star hotel and accompanied by a local. We managed to stay in north side of Bogota near Calle 100, and wouldn't go near the south side, especially near the downtown by the park you shown. That area had lots of street robberies. Majority of the area south of Calle 77 are poor. Be areful when you take taxi in Colombia, the driver may rob you, especially at night. Do not wera nice clothes or any jewerly or carry a phone or camera. I bought and wore my cheap Casio there, and kept my nice watch in hotel safe. I would not recommend any foreigners to visit Cali or Cartagena, the whole city of Cartagena is a ghetto. Every one seemed to involve with drugs in Cali and there were lots of black there. Do not venture outside any city even on day time. I was worry the whole time traveling from Cali to the Coffee Plantation with a native far from the city. There were lots of kidnapping there in the mountains.

      Dear Mr. Tony Lee,
      Obviously none of those terrible things happened to you when you visited Colombia. You made it back alive to the place you came from? Didn't you?
      For your information, there are people from different ethnic groups all over the world, even in the place where you came from there are black people as well.
      If you feel there is not enough room for you and people that don't look like you in this world, maybe you are the one who has leave to another planet if you can!
      By the way I'm proud to be a Colombian descendant of Irish, British,Spanish , Italian and Native American...
      So what's your problem?
      Begin by loving yoursel!
