    Thank you for posting this video. I am a woman that started this technique but find mostly men posting videos. I agree how great it is for women and finding their inner strength.

    Thank you so much Wim! I'm 20F and had anxiety for the past 2 years. Doing this completely eliminated my anxiety. I always tell people w/ anxiety or depression to check you out.

    Recovering from moderate traumatic brain injury, I have been doing Wim’s breathing exercise every day for over a year and a half. It has been an incredibly valuable tool in my healing process. If I don’t do it by noon, I feel the difference for the rest of the day. Even just the breathing exercise is incredibly powerful. Thank you, Wim!

    Thank you Anita, for sharing - I agree, it's what we need right now and what women need (not to do during first 3 days of period). I had been taking cold showers for 25 years as part of my yoga practice and it has kept me sane and healthy through many tough times. I swim in cold Irish lakes every day and was able to inspire other women, too :-)

    It's only been about a week of doing the wim hof method and I already feel like I'm being reborn in the best way! This breathwork & the cold showers have helped me so much!!! I'm getting my energy and motivation back

    I am using the breathing technique 3X a day to heal Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I have made big progress in 8 days and look forward to adding the cold showers in when I am ready.
    I can't wait to teach my daughter when she comes home from college.

    This 62-year-old agrees completely! I'm on week 4 of the WHM fundamentals and let me tell you, WHM is life changing. For the good!
    From being afraid to even be cool to craving colder showers and ice baths, if I can do this (and I can!) anyone can.
    It's terrific.
    You can find a local certified instructor and get the personal touch, too.

    I’m a tired mom in my early 30’s. Between the lack of sleep and the cold/flus my kids bring home I get knocked out easily. I agree with her, I need that extra boost of inner strength. Committing to the breathing and cold showers daily. I’m on day 3 and I already feel a difference in my energy!

    In Finland, where all lakes are frozen in the Winter, both genders do a lot of ice swimming. It has always been popular and part of the national tradition but is now becoming very popular also among young people. Ice swimming and hot sauna (70-90 C) has always been part of our culture.

    Thank you for bringing this technique back to its essence which is not about muscles or records.
    The power of Nature that Wim talks about is the same power that gave him life: deep breathing and holding breath, stressor of pain inside the body, absolute mental focus to bring a human out to the world, native opiates and canabinoids to kill the pain, and a superhuman ability. Whoah! Genius indeed!
    Thank you Wim Hof for waking up the world to the immense power programmed in us by Mother Nature! You've delivered the promise by your mother to become a missionary for the higher force that gave her strength to deliver you.

    Lovely video, thank you for sharing your experience. I've been doing the breathing techniques and cold showers during lockdown and definitely feel uplifted by them. There is a subtle happiness that emerges from doing these techniques which I have been very grateful for, thank you Wim, Any women thinking of trying this give it a go why not. I have definitely found a subtle energy that emerges through this technique.....but you have to try it to find out! Consistency. Consistency. Consistency. Good health to all x x

    What I find VERY fascinating is that I live in a very cold climate and I really get PISSED at the cold weather. BUT when I was in my young twenties I was snowmobiling with an INSANE boyfriend and we fell in a frozen river, I DID actually. And the ride home was LONG. But I remember specifically feeling OK about out! I was SCARED because namely the "boyfriend" was PSHYCHO and THIS (falling into the ice) gave me a sense OF POWER! It happened right when I needed a BOOST in my self esteem!

    when you live in a rural state in america you understand being close to nature and as a child i ran around in the snow and played. you are one with your envirament and do not really think much about it. you are just having fun. be more childlike.

    Danke für das tolle Video! Ja, auch ich praktiziere seit 3 Wochen die WHM, weil ich wieder Schmerzen bekam, wenn es kälter draußen wurde. Da ich ebenfalls Übungen aus dem Yoga unterrichte und Massagen gebe, war dieser Zustand sehr ungut für mich. Zum Glück habe ich nun einen Ausweg gefunden und bin sehr dankbar dafür. Ich mache weiter und irgendwann geht es in den See (wenn's kalt ist)!

    58 years young doing the win hof method breathing and added cold baths after 6 mos and now after 3 mos baths every other day ish - I FEEL BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE! HAPPIER! CALMER! SMARTER! STRONGER!

    I started . I am from Brazil and I am in my fourth day with the breath exercise and the shower . In the next 28 days When the mono becames decresing again I will write here again . And I am sure that I Will have a lot to write . Tks for this video . It is important tô see others womens practicing ! 🤍

    Thank you so very much for this inspiring video. I so wish I could train with Wim in person..I believe that is what it would take for me to fully be able to transform to the cold. I am having a hard time with it on my own as I hate the cold. I need someone to push me and I just don’t have it nor the finances to do get the courses either. Pray for me. I so want to do this!!

      I would start in the summer by having cold tap baths or showers. so not adding ice cubes - just using the water as it comes from the cold tap. and go from there. in fact there's no need to go colder unless you want to.

    Hey Wim,i need your advice!I'm 14 and i want to know what should i do when i do the technique.Should i do the breaths only in a little bit cold place for beggining and should i do a cold shower and then,after a few trainings,i will be able to finally go out in the snow without many clothes?

    Been doing wimhof breathing & cold shower for more than 2 weeks.
    I love it, giving me energy and I help my sore throat, though I noticed the severe pain during my period and ovulation. Is it a normal side effects? Anyone with same case? Does it pass? Appreciate any reply. Thanks!

      I have been doing the method for about a month. When my period came, the awfull pain I used to have was reduced. I don't know if it had to do with the method or if it just happened by luck. But anyway, keep doing the method and avoid the cold showers the days close to your period. What I also did, was to use hot water on my belly, after the cold shower.

    I've got a question: Can I do the breathing exercises or even the whole method when I have my period?
    I understand that it's always best to do what feels good, but I'd like to know the scientific background to this as well. And I think that many women could benefit from an answer.

      I once did kaphalbati breathing during menstruation, it is similar to this technique. it was a big mistake. ever since my period had been nightmares. i got cramps for years. i cried a lot during menses, you'd better watch out . dont do it during menstruation.

      So for me personally it’s no problem to do the breathing during my period, from day one of the period.
      It even helps me and the pms is even less.
      But as other women write they don’t recommend…. It looks like every woman needs to try and just feel if it’s good or bad for them…

      Hello ladies I'm also interested in WHM and menstruation especially when period pain were so far the only reason I misses my daily session. I forced myself through it today but sadly didn't experience any pain relief. WHM community, please give us some answers.

      Efka hi I had very bad Pms and menstrual cramps. My cramps were so bad I have to take day off from work. I have found relief after doing wim hoff breathing and cold shower. Also I found out I had vitamin B and Magnesium deficiency I am taking supplements. The relief could be from either one or both.

      It is recommended not to do breathing technique on the first 3 days of your period.

    I have a question. Since the Wim Hof breathing promotes adrenalin (albeit controlled if I've understood correctly), I'm curious what effects this would have specifically on women's hormones, and even more specifically for women who are pre, peri or menopausal where hormones can wreak havoc for some. Does anyone know if there have been clinical studies for this?

    I am a young woman and really interested in trying this method. However, one thing that worries me is the low amount of body fat I have and the real possibility for getting seriously sick, particularly ovarian inflamation or pneumonia from the cold. Does anyone have some info about that? Cheers! ^_^

    Hey Wim.. Cold therapy is mentioned in Quran with prophet Job.. However here is the catch.. God says; Chapter 38, Verse 42 (translation): Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink."
    God instructs the prophet Job to have a cold bath and drink I think from the same water because it has to be a natural spring.. back then there were no public baths or no other convincing setup that can explain this story..
    Can you exploee the cold water drinking part.. Can it be part of the healing program that god revealed to us

      if your mindset and body is strong enough, yes you can. is it possilbe, 110%.
      some are just too chained in thinking. change that or change that at any person your life get hugely changed. i mean, if people around you also star to change, imagine what could be possilbe. a life without all the made up and kept world problems of the elites. (Y)
      your body can get strong enough in a short time.
      i love dr. leonard coldwell, once he said he helped 35 000 cancer patient.
      he left germany when pharma bothers him too much. he says, it starts in your mind to get healthy. love that. a natural lifestyle cures a lot.
      he (leonard) made once a joke, a vegan, vegetarien, only fish eater and meat/all eater met each other, all are over the age of 100, what does they all have in common? they haven't visit a doctor for a very long time ;))) :D
      a natural lfiestyle with a natural diet = whole food, mostly plant based, as fresh and organic as possilbe.

      "My body isn't very strong." Add Amm, thats why you should do it. Start slowly, with warm water and every day make it a little bit cooler.

    There are ALOT of men in these videos aren't there. I think they think it's macho. I'm 41 female and on day 14 of cold showers. I've got my sister into it and we love it.

    Most of the key research on the Method included a 100% male cohort. No mention is made of this in the publishec research. Maybe being inclusive of women is the way to go.

    Btw period and breathing dont go well together. Gives menstrual cramps and early period. Exercise breathing when cycle is over

      Ieva Marija not a woman but i would think its no different than men. I've seen plenty a woman in an ice bath. If its a problem just do cold showers

      Great question. If there'd be a problem with the genital area, cisgender men would also have it (penis + 2 testicles: a lot of skin surface area too). The breathing technique teaches you how to regulate your body not to get any damages.
